I wonder how Cotto will manage middleweight, because even for jr middle he does seem a bit small. I wish he would have fought Chavez before the Martinez fight and it would have been the battle of the left hooks. Now that would be something to see.

I think Cotto's a little undersized for MW. He's 5'-7", and middleweights typically average around 5'-11" to 6-feet. Cotto's power will do less against the big middleweights, whereas a hard-punching middleweight would def have the power to hurt Cotto. Cotto has adapted incredibly well to different styles, especially now with Pedro Diaz in his corner. But I don't know how far that could take Miguel against elite middleweights.

I simply do not worship Calzaghe. He really is not one of my favourite fighters. My favourites include, Frazier, Hatton and Froch who could not be more different. Credit though where credit is due. Cotto is a great fighter. Barring robbery or anything of that nature, if Cotto commits to this and wins, he'll deserve it. If whoever who he's matched up with wins, that boxer would deserve it also.

I made my post after reading p4pking's. I didn't quote you or name you.
Why would I not give a rats arse about a boxing thread on a boxing forum that I visit every day? I've posted about hundreds of different fights/fighters in the eight years i've been coming here. I first saw Cotto fight against Justin Juuko 10 years ago. I've seen virtually every fight he's had since then. So why would I not be interested in this topic?
