Naivety isnt an excuse.
You are quite correct it is no excuse. The fact remains though each case is clearly different and should be judged accordingly.

You can't let him off with a 6 month ban because it sets a bad precedent. 6 months is the same as time off. Other boxers now have a blueprint to escape a true punishment.
SuperHeavy..you're correct 1-3 Dimethylanine isn't written expicitly on the banned list. However, it is another name for what he was caught for, which is on the list. That's why I suggested hiring an expert for anyone who is taking supplements in boxing. It's a shame it has to be like that but UKAD are making it that way.
???
He had an advantage - he got a ban... As I said, but you failed to comprehend - the length of which was decided upon based upon the circumstances and substance.
I did chuckle when you tried to call me butthurt and emotional :vd: over what exactly? ???
I don't care for either fighter... you can't say the same.
Not only is your view that a 'grey area' needs 'black and white' punishment an extremely retarded and contradictory one, but if you weren't butthurt over enzo getting a smaller ban than your man crush larry you might actually be able form a consist opinion.

Hopefully so. He's being punished with a ban because as a profesional athlete he should extra vigilant.
But if those are the CIRCUMSTANCES then a ban of several years would be extreme. I'm sure if Althucks forgets about his man crush for a minute he'd see the reasoning behind that.

I still disagree with that...he was caught. No matter how small the amount was, it helped with his training and hence would have translated to his in-ring work. It helps with cutting weight too..another unfair advantage he would have gained simply from taking it.
Also, just imagine he got tested a day before..or even two days before? Would the amount in his system been way higher? Everything has a half-life and Enzo may have been tested at the tail end of the substances excretion from the body..
So, again. I feel your points are invalid for those reasons. Nothing personal..Although someone may need to pass Adam another Maxipad.
"Althuck"? - Don't give up your day job, pal. Being a comedian's not gonna work out..neither is fitness apparently, going by your comedic attempts at imparting your knowledge on us..On second thoughts, comedy may be an avenue after all..
I know that you may think I'm splitting hairs here, and I have no doubt that the supplement was taken to try and improve performance in his training. The substance that Enzo was found to have in his system was Methylhexaneamine according to the UKAD decision. This is a supplement that is legal if found in the system during training, however it is one that was found in the post-fight tests, and the level was only marginally above the allowed limit.
I'm not sure if it is exactly the same supplement, but Tony Dodson is also serving a five month ban for testing positive for Methylhexaneamine. This is related to the Dimethylpentylamine, and by deduction from the ingredient list we looked at previously Dimethylphenylamine.
I think we can discount the point about cutting weight in this instance, as Enzo has always walked around under the cruiserweight limit, and his fights prior to the McPhilbin bout had been at light-heavy. He came in 11 pounds under the limit, and apart from Boxing Day after the festive eating, I doubt he'll ever go over the cruiserweight limit.
Re: Enzo Maccarinelli handed six month drugs ban
Global DRO - United Kingdom
This is the website that UKAD refer you on to when you click on to 'check my medications'. Basically, it's a search engine based directory, so not sure if you'll click on to my results with that link.
Otherwise, go through Global DRO and then choose UK > Athlete > Boxing > and type the name. In-competition is defined as the 12 hours prior to the event and during the event, while everything else is covered in the Out-of-competition category.

Brilliant!
No attempt at explaining why your views aren't inconsistent and contradictory and no denial that this isn't being caused by your little hard on for Larry...
No objectivity, just (very) poorly constructed attempts at insults.
(last paragraph? Scaving stuff, really. Well... A+ for effort anyway)
Just in case anybody had any doubts about the level of intellect we're dealing with here...
At least those barely coherent meshes of words you'd posted before seemed to be some sort of attempt at making an argument...
You've devolved even further. When you're right you're right - just as you said your IQ seems to actually be dropping.

Bollocks, give him 4 years! Definetly the same as knowlingly using EPO.
Re: Enzo Maccarinelli handed six month drugs ban
Sadly for Enzo, there is no known steroids that can turn a glass jaw into a block of granite :D

Yes, just in case that was in doubt fellow forumer's, please feel free to browse over the older posts in this thread where Adam states.
1) "OMG how can you compare over the counter supplements with EPO!!" (when certain steroids were/are available over the counter due to having no medical use)
2) "Jack3d keeps getting banned because the company said it had a derivative of Geranium in there but instead they were putting 1-3Dimethylanine/Hex in the product!" (1-3dimeth/Hex is derived from geranium in the first place!!! Real facepalm stuff..)
3) "Developing more cells is physiologically impossible and you're dumb for claiming that!!" (well, actually hyperplasia is possible with GH supplementation, division of cells to create more. I stated you couldn't change your ratio of fast twitch fibers to slow)
4) "Propietary blends don't state ingredients!" (Errr..yes they do. Just not the quantities of those ingredients..I would overuse the facepalm/RollEyes smiley here like you do but I think everybody gets the jist here..)
Seriously son, I'm your daddy when it comes to this stuff...Been in the game too long. You don't like me and everything I say makes you bleed from your lil vagina and gets you butthurt. That's cool and quite hilarious..Throw insults at me all day long but know your limits when you're arguing fitness with me, pal. :kissing:
