Re: Freddie Flintoff's November 30th Opponent Confirmed
Lads toiling away... 100s of ammy fights, undefeated as pros don't get telivised from the MEN. This joke does.
Freddie Flintoff - The gloves are off (60 sec) - YouTube
Nice left hook.
Guess punchers really are born.

Would have been a lot more respectful to the sport and it's fighters than jumping straight in to a hyped TV bout.
Less attention and money for him though...
I don't buy that this is good press for boxing, all this bout does to the uniformed punter is take the piss out of boxing - the undue hype given belittles the time and dedication needed to become notable.
Some of you are talking like boxing needs any bit of publicity it can get. Rubbish, boxing needs to be taken seriously... The watering down of alphabet titles has weakened down the sports credibility enough without what is essentially a celebrity boxing match being given ANY credibility or interest.
The celeb boxing matches that were on tv did more as it showed the regular person on the street that it's bloody hard work to be a boxer, this is being presented and the 'real' thing.

I sure hope they know what they are doing. Fighting an undefeated fighter who is 2 stone heavier for your first ever fight is not going to be easy.
