Tyson nuthugger? I couldn't stand the guy. Every time he fought I wanted him to lose but that's not relevant in this hypothetical match up. When he fought Douglas he had already started on his downward slide but that does not take away what Douglas did. He fought the perfect fight and provided somewhat of a blue print for those who followed. I'm not sure anyone in history would have beaten Buster on that night.
Like I said, I think the Wlad that learned how to clinch and lean on smaller opponents might give Tyson some issues but he most likely gets decapitated by a prime Tyson and the Wlad featured in the gifs present in this thread would have been murdered by Tyson.
Forget it, Iam. Logic is lost on this guy. He's gone on record in the past saying Tyson would have no shot against Wlad. To suggest otherwise is heresy. You either believe that Wlad is the greatest ever... or you're a hater and probably a Tyson nuthugger.

We're talking one fight... prime, Sherlock. Burning out is besides the point. Point is who wins prime for prime. Unlike you, I can separate Vitali from Wlad. I think prime Tyson scares the shit out of Wlad, and proceeds to dismantle him. Wlad is safety first. Tyson is "to hell with caution I'm gonna rip your head off your shoulders". Tyson could also take a punch. I've always said Tyson vs Vitali would be a lot more competitive. Two big differences: Vitali wouldn't walk in scared... and Vitali could take a good punch.
Where haven't I separated Wlad and Vitali? You want to make up more stuff I don't do? And even if we agree you're still bitching like the moaning little cunt you are.
Ever since Romney got his ass kicked you've been more insufferable than ever.
Take an anti-depressant or something for crying out loud.

Lets also not forget Tyson was a very small HW , he never faced anyone who was the size of Vitali , Smith was 16 stone 4 , i loved watching Tyson in his prime but he was over rated.
Even Tyson post prison (3years!!) was still a threat. And why are we talking about rooney and cus and what other champions they didnt have, tyson mafe up for everyone else.
Just remember a mike tyson at 15 years old was something out of this world that was sparring with grown men sparring partners.
Youngest heavyweight champion in the world with tremendous speed and power for a small man.
There is nothing overated about tyson.
Are you Mike Tyson ?
and is an adult helping you with the spelling ?
Re: Iron Mike Tyson vs. Wladimir Klitschko
Steward was in Wlad's corner when he got KTFO by Brewster
Moronic Tyson haters claim that Cus and Rooney were "overrated" when Wlad who is supposed ot be unbeatable with Emmanuel Steward gets stopped ... with Steward in his corner ;D;D
How many fights did Tyson lose with Rooney or Cus in his corner?

Big fingers. Small iphone keypad.
Is that all you got?
Just imagine if tyson didnt go to prison.
He would have lost to Holyfield sooner?

Holyfield couldn't even handle Bowe and was nearly KOed by Bert Cooper ... Tyson would've finished him ... post prison Tyson was on his way to an early KO of Holyfield, until he started his cheating headbutting tactics
Yet old 50 year old geriatric Holyfield is still a dangerous contender in the Klit era ... which is why BOTH sisters ducked him
Re: Iron Mike Tyson vs. Wladimir Klitschko
Yeah Tyson would handle those guys just like he handled Buster Douglas right? The Klitschko's didn't fight Holyfield because what's the use of battering an old man?

All they've been doing is fighting old men, so why duck old man Holyfield?
Wlad looked like he was going into labor in his corner after being bounced around like a pinball from the likes of Ross Puritty, a journeyman with 20 losses on his record ... old Holyfield would do the same to him
Tyson at his worst, on a crash diet, tons of personal problems and minimal training nearly put away Douglas with an uppercut in the 8th round. Tyson, unlike Wlad who DUCKED Sanders, Puritty for the remainder of his career was looking for an immediate rematch with Douglas because he knew that it was a stroke of luck, a fluke, nothing but an aberration.
Wlad didn't even fight Brewster again until after he was inactive for 15 months and spent 9 months in a hospital bed recovering from a detached retina. Great stuff from Wlad, fighting disabled guys with only one functioning eye coming straight from the hospital.
And that Buster Douglas of the Tyson fight would beat both Klits in one night.
Re: Iron Mike Tyson vs. Wladimir Klitschko
Ok when would a rematch against Purrity have made sense for Wlad? How about Sanders? Things never fell into place for that to happen BUT Wlad redeemed himself vs Brewster. Mike Tyson on the other had has NEVER won a rematch vs a fighter that beat him in fact Tyson has never gotten off the canvas to win a fight....Wlad has. I guess he's better at handling adversity
Re: Iron Mike Tyson vs. Wladimir Klitschko
To the people saying that Tyson didn't beat any good heavyweights in his prime and it was a weak division. Here's some food for thought.
Give me the list of Heavyweights that Wladimir has beaten that wouldn't have lost to Larry Holmes in 88.
Just gonna throw that out there. Of the list of heavyweights that Wladimir has fought and beat, can you give me even 5 that would have beaten Larry Holmes even in 1988?

And Wlad had no clue on how to clinch at that stage.
Re: Iron Mike Tyson vs. Wladimir Klitschko
If Wlad could have survived the first few rounds against Iron Mike then I give him a chance to win a decision or late ko.

A chance, sure. But a small one, IMO. A belief probably based on the myth that Tyson would exhaust his artillery early and fade later in the fight. But prime Tyson was tireless. The Douglas fight that has been mentioned so much. Douglas, who fought the fight of his life, pushed and manhandled Tyson throughout the fight. He gave as good as he got. Wlad would've never been able to duplicate that. He wouldn't have exposed his chin in those exchanges. This manhandling should've tired Tyson out. And yet Tyson found enough in him to floor Douglas in the 8th with a vicious uppercut. And uppercut that incidentally, would've decapitated the weak-chinned Wlad. Tyson tried to press the advantage in the 9th... but Douglas would not be denied that night.
Wlad wouldn't not have been involved in that type of warfare with Tyson from Round 1. And thus, Tyson would've been just as fresh in the later rounds, and even more dangerous to take Wlad's head off.
Yes... a chance. But not one most people would've put money on.
Re: Iron Mike Tyson vs. Wladimir Klitschko
As someone here has stated, to assume Wlad beats '88 Tyson that would mean Tyson never did land 1 clean head punch on Wlad. That version of Tyson always landed one clean and hard punch to every opponent he faced up to that point, that would include fights where he went the distance with guys like Tillis, Green, Tucker, Smith. And I would say Tyson would be able to land one on Wlad. With that being said, would Wlad be able to take the punch? I would say no, considering we know that Wlad has a below average chin.
