Karma then that it was Manny Pacquiao who was the victim of a brutal K.O? Somebody who has done nothing (apart from deny) to prove to us that he is clean. At least Marquez said he'd take any test, any time.
Although, I think people are naive to think it's normal to have somebody so involved with PED's in your corner. Even if he is good at what he does as a strength coach, why bring the attention to yourself by hiring him? Marquez' body has changed so drastically too..remember that he was a pudgy lightweight only a couple years ago. It's impossible for the body to put on 12+lbs of lean muscle in a year or two without assistance. Marquez is now a ripped welterweight.
The same questions asked of Pac can now be asked of Marquez if we're all honest. Only difference is that Marquez was willing to take the test which speaks volumes.
Personally I don't care what the answer is - Marquez's victory was very final and this argument can't blemish it..not when the opponent is Manny Pacquiao.
Manny ran into a massive punch. It was like Williams getting sparked by Martinez, that kind of perfect punch except Manny basically leapt head first into it. Manny didn't see the punch coming for the first knockdown either but I have to say JMM has added a lot of muscle and power to his frame at quite an advanced age. It must all be down to extremely hard work in the gym.
I think all these guys are suspicious though. Manny has a well-documented fear of needles and JMM says he'll take any test -- a week before the fight. Neither of them wanted to know about random testing when the fight was being made.
EDIT : Victor Conte says that the amount of weight Marquez was squatting on 24/7 would take three or so days to recover from and only steroids speed the healing process so that a fighter could continue to train the next day. That sound right to you?
How much was he squatting out of interest?

No idea. Didn't watch it, just know what Conte said about it.
While Conte said it is theoretically possible that Marquez was able to transform his body the way he has at such an advanced age for an athlete, he remains suspicious of it.
He pointed out the massive amount of weight that Marquez was shown squatting during HBO's "24/7: Pacquiao-Marquez." Several boxing trainers and conditioning coaches have told Yahoo! Sports that it is highly unusual for boxers to squat such heavy weight.
Conte said there is a reason for that.
"That makes your entire body strong, not just your legs," Conte said of the squats Marquez has been doing. "If you want to stimulate speed, power and strength, you do it using heavy weight and exploding from under that weight with enough on your shoulders in the squat rack.
"But how many boxers do you know who are in the weight room squatting huge poundage? You don't see that. That in and of itself would make you stiff and sore and unable to walk for two or three days unless you are using testosterone or other steroids to accelerate the healing, where instead of it taking three days to recover from that type of workout, you'd recover in one day."

Two plates (235lbs) and he only did one rep,not really a massive amount of weight. But I guess for a his size its alot

Lol
Every time somebody wins today the ped accusation is sure to follow. Both punches that dropped Manny were perfectly timed and a result of Manny's dart in and out style. It finally caught up to him against a guy he had previously fought 3 times and he could have fought the 4th blindfolded. The knockout punch was brilliant and Manny walked right into it.

I agree. I basically said the same thing on the previous page. It doesn't rule out the possibility that both of them could be taking PEDs though. Since all these guys are clean boxers and everything they've done in their late careers is down to hard work in the gym it'd be nice if they all followed the lead of Ninito Donaire and agreed to year-round random testing. Then nobody could make any accusations against them.
Re: Questions About Marquez Strength Trainer and PEDS Legit
An investigation needs to be opened. If you analyze all that has happened, you will all agree.
I'm a fan of both fighters. Let me make that very clear. Not only do I praise Marquez all the time, but I actually felt he deserved to get a win....... but not like that. I have used HGH in the past when playing football and training for the golden gloves (which I pulled out of). One thing I have learned is the face of an athlete who has sold himself to getting what he wants any way he can. There is not only an apparent nature of the whole thing, but also hard evidence. This might be the most clear cut case of using in history. If he had faced someone else like Cotto, or Bradley, or whoever, he may have slipped by a keen eye of myself and other athletes with his statistical numbers to defend himself. And we may have been forced to back off. But we have 4 fights of footage to look at between him and Pacman that paint his hands red completely. I wrote a blog on my site at- Jokatech. I can't say it all here, but trust me, Marquez, as much as I love the guy cheated blatantly. The sad thing is he may not get caught.
And I was cheering for him to get Mayweather after this because I think they fight very much alike and I thought people wrongly wrote Marquez off after his undersized loss to Mayweather. He has the style and skill set to be Money's biggest challenge and dethroner. But last night he was outboxed, showed some of his worst defense and relied on drugs to get what he wanted. Wish he could get up like that for his next fight. (the name Jokatech. at dot webs dot...cm
Re: Questions About Marquez Strength Trainer and PEDS Legit
Why is it ever long great bridge crossed always has to have some nagging Troll underneath. Must really hurt to see Pac trying to brush his teeth face first with the ring like that.
Hey..At least Marquez is the one who has already proven he has no problem pissing in a cup. We really need to stop tearing down achievments and casting accusation based in agenda and sour grapes. Prove it or jog on. Marquez literally walked him, spun him into right hands. Fight a guy once...you learn him. Fight him four times, you predict him.
Wach is the size of a Cruise ship and benches God knows what..too bad he has the boxing ability, technique, and skill of a gloved circus Bear! Maybe if he was PED free we'd find he was actually a welter.

True but Marquez did offer to do whatever tests they wanted and of course that would have obligated Manny to do the same. At worst they were both juicing which would make it an even playing field;D

at this point it's not accusations. 2 small fly weight fighters have been trading leather for over 7 years. Not only do those size fighters almost never score KTFO's, but this pair never has come close. There is nothing natural about a knockout that brutal coming from either 1 of them last night after all this time. I don't care what angle it came from. Trust me, if it was at all likely without drugs, we would never have reached a 4th fight. See, that's the whole thing, boxing and Marquez's camp is counting on the air-headedness of the general public. And with good reason I see.

Quite bit for his size but I've seen lots of smaller guys squatting more and having no problems walking the next day! Conte is talking shit.

Sorry cant agree. That punch would have ko'd just about anyone. Perfectly timed and placed. And ftr Jimmy Wilde was a fly and he had 100 ko's to his credit. And its still accusations until somebody actually proves it.

I'm tired of hearing "prove it." If it were easy to catch users, they wouldn't still use. Angel is not a repentant drug pusher at all. He changed his name, switched location, took on Marquez as his pupil waaaaay before this fight was even announced, and smiles wickedly when interviewed about PED's and what he's up to, saying that he has , "secrets, he wants to keep." Come the heck on!!!! Any boxing fan with a brain should be pissed. But people are so stupid, this whole thing will most likely slide right under the rug.

He did offer to take any test anybody wanted him to take. A week before the fight. If I was Manny or Marquez or any other elite boxer and there were any questions being asked about me or who I was employing to train me I'd volunteer for year-round random testing like Donaire has. It'd be nice to see other elite boxers do the same thing.

So what? That is not proof of dick and your whole gig has logic shaped like a pretzel.
Everybody's juicing so what difference does it make.
