I think there is something wrong with me, because I'm not a huge fan of most Belgium-style beers.
Depends what you get. All of the craft/Trappist ones are seriously strong and it puts people off. I drink them all literally ice cold and they're less soup-like like that. Then you've got the mass produced stuff like Stella which twenty years ago used to be a great beer but now with modern brewing methods is brewed in eight days instead of eight weeks (like all big branded beers, some now brewed in three days) and is piss.
It's really hard to find a session 4-5% lager beer that's good quality. Belgium no different from anywhere else unfortunately. After my Duvel I'm drinking Urquell and that's not the same anymore either.
I don't drink mass-produced beer if I can avoid it; Stella is ass. I've become something of a beer snob in my old age.
I've tried a ton of different Belgian and Belgian-style beers, Trappist and otherwise, and I just didn't really like most of them. There are some I enjoy, but on the whole I'm just not a huge fan (unlike almost everyone else it seems).
I much prefer North American ales.
They're tricky to get over here. Brooklyn lager and Sam Adams is about it, although to be fair I've never looked on the net. The US seems to like superstrong IPAs/porters which I think are the worst styles to make as a strong beer. Plenty of good English ales over here but I'm in a lager mood tonight.

I've had about 5 brews tonight, which is unusual for me, i'm celebrating a bit.
cheers
I've been out since seven. Pub and a meal. It's now two thirty. Hic. :)
Ha! the HBO replay will be on in the morning if you pass out. ;)
I've got stamina. I'll last. :)

Canada makes some great specialty brews, and of course some of the best whiskey in the world. :-X

IPA's are huge over here right now. I went to a bar that specializes in craft beers from the west coast and 5 of the 16 beers on tap were IPA's. I don't mind IPA's, but that is overkill imo.
Right now, I really like red and pale ales.

I prefer American microbrews to Canadian ones, but maybe that's because there are so many more of them.
Re: Orlando Salido vs. "Mikey" Garcia - Saturday night fight/chat thread
Kellerman, Papa and ... SOG Ward? calling the action for HBO, Martinez vs. Burgos up first, fighters in the ring.

I was prescribed some Oxy when I got my wisdom teeth out 5 years ago. I've never taken one, but I haven't been able to throw them out either :p

My fake dead girlfriend not impressed with my ring card girls comment.
