If Calzaghe was still about none of us would be picking who wins , would be a total landslide.
Kinda puts Froch into perspective ;-)

whoooooaaaaa, a can of worms (hopkins slapping record old jones)
Calzaghe would have wiped the floor with Froch every day of the week.
Froch deserves big respect for his run of opponents. But in one breath he's naming Glen Johnson as one of his wins then in the next is giving Groves no credit at all for beating the same man (yeah I know Johnson was even more ancient than the ancient version Froch had a tough fight with).
He's not a Chameleon like Calzaghe which is why he's had 2 loses.
Tip top fighter and is there or there abouts one of the UKs finest ever imo.
Wonder if Groves will infact do what he said and engage him from the off?
I personally think thats suicidle.
Groves must surely be trying to wind Froch upm to encourage him to rush in for a fight. On the counter is the only way Groves has a chance of winning. If he stand and fights with Froch I would genuinely say he gets "flattened" as Froch puts it.
I do remember Groves getting a little stunned by Paul Smith when they fought, just at the of round 3 if i'm right. Froch must surely punch a fair bit harder than Smith at Super Middle.
Groves has been down more times than a hooker - Anderson, Froch and wobbled and cut numerous times.
I like Froch. Very exciting fighter. But he almost lost to Direll. He was lucky Direll decided to run for 9 rounds and not fight like he did the last 3 rounds. To little too late for Direll.
Froch is the same fighter now that was getting criticised by myself and others a few years ago when Tam was his only fan and before he had faced Reid.
Im looking at the comments in here that are pro Froch and yes hes tough and can keep the same low tempo all night but he still struggles with movement and still loads up on shots that miss by a mile because his opponent had moved already.
I liked the interview on youtube by IFLTV ringside with Georges new trainer Paddy at the open workout. Paddy does point out somethings that make you think. Taylor not a big puncher at middle, moves up a weight and hurts Carl a couple of times in a round then drops him and was winning (until his suspect stamina reared its ugly head again). His point being, Carl may have a good chin but if its there on offer, he will get hurt and lets be honest, Carl hasnt got any quicker. Hes still getting hit, which is what made the Kessler fight exciting. He also asked Kugan who he thought won the Dirrell fight and Kugan had a job to answer.
Groves certainly punches harder or at least as hard as Taylor, he also has decent footwork.
Im not a fan of Haye but if he can drag his chin on all fours through 12 rounds with the biggest puncher in boxing then im sure Groves chin could go 12 with a slowing Froch who doesnt have the size advantage that Wlad did over Haye.
Froch praising Groves.

I'd like groves to win this as it could set up a couple of interesting fights but I think froch will stop him
