Re: Khan can beat Mayweather (maybe)
For Khan to win he has to repeat what happened in the Mayweather-Judah fight. Some how he needs to find a way to get Mayweathers corner to jump into the ring and hope it gets Floyd DQ'ed. That's his only chance. There is no other way he can win. Cuz he's not good enough. Khan is a fighter on the decline. While he still does possess good hand speed he's clearly not as fast as he once was. Julio Diaz had no problem connecting on him. His speed won't even be a factor. Mayweather is gonna time him and hurt him. Khan is either gonna go down. Or he's gonna get that panic look in his face and start back peddling as fast as he can. He'll try and clinch and throw some weak punches to try and survive. But it won't work. Floyd will pick his spot and end it
Re: Khan can beat Mayweather (maybe)
I think Khan with hurt Floyd before Floyd knows what's hit him ;)

Exactly. All those people thinking Khan's speed is going to make the fight close are thinking of the best version of Khan they've ever seen, Khan fighting the perfect fight for the first time in his life and Mayweather unable to deal with it. That's just not going to happen. Khan might win one or two of the first couple of rounds at absolute best but once Mayweather times him it's just going to be a one-sided battering.
Re: Khan can beat Mayweather (maybe)
Khan can do it but he will not because 36 minutes is a long time not to get hit, hurt and be knocked out.
Re: Khan can beat Mayweather (maybe)
On of the things no one is talking about is temperament and for this alone Khan will lose. when Floyd fought Ortiz he showed that he is vengeful and does not take shit from anyone. A fighter does whatever it takes to win and Floyd will be Floyd and that is that. Floyd gets angry in there when someone does something he does not like and pride keeps him from telling anyone about it affecting him. He usually wins the fight at the press conferences. Floyd has feelings and he projects them on his opponent. Floyd by decision or late round TKO but remember it is psychological. Floyd is not a knockout artist but the intensity of his training proves one thing, he did not show up to lose and once again I am not a fan of his but betting against him so far can be really be hazardous to your wallet.

I don't even think he'll make it out the first round. If Floyd takes the fight, it's cuz he's looking to send a message. Floyd ain't stupid. He knows Khan is a poor choice. He knows a points win over Khan is meaningless. It hurts him more than it helps him. But if he destroys Khan in a round or 2, that meaningless win actually becomes meaningful
Re: Khan can beat Mayweather (maybe)
Agree with Violent Demise. Although it is mismatch in sense of competitive fight, a sudden violent destruction of Khan will send a powerful message and bring him some real respect.
Maybe Floyd is smarter than even his fans give him credit for!!! ;)
Re: Khan can beat Mayweather (maybe)
If Floyd is going to fight anyone below 154 not named Manny, it may as well be Khan from a sales perspective. Like Kirkland said though, go watch Khans last fight before you get excited about it. He looked good and had his way for the first few rounds until his off button got touched, then it was tit for tat the whole way through with Amir getting buzzed repeatedly. For all the talk of his handspeed, what of Julio Diaz's lack thereof, not to mention lack of everything else? It doesn't take anything to hit and hurt Khan anymore. The idea that Floyd wouldn't is comedy, and on what other basis could you even call this a fight.
