Re: GGG might fight Andy Lee in April.. is he the new Erdei?
@Ron Swanson I 100% understand where you are coming from. I agree with the part that GGG is ready for a step up in class and I want to see it happen sooner than later, whether it's Martinez, Ward, Froch or Mayweather, because, as you stated, he might be special. On the other hand, I don't have a problem with a guy cleaning out the division, but you are correct, it needs to be top ten guys. Out of his last half dozen or so fights, only Proksa, Stevens and Macklin were in the top ten when GGG fought them. We don't need anymore Ishida's/Adama's/Rosado's or even Kirkland's. GGG is passed that stage. I don't have a problem with Lee, Geale, Sturm, Quillin, or Murray in April/August, IF he finishes 2014 with a fight against Martinez. Frankly, if Martinez beats Cotto and doesn't retire, two big "if's," if he doesn't fight GGG, it's a duck, and I'm a big Martinez fan so it bothers me to say it. Back to GGG, if he can't get a fight with Martinez this year, and he's ran through two of Lee/Geale/Sturm/Quillin or Murray, then he needs to move up because he'll have cleaned out the division. So, I guess at the end of the day, we're not too far apart, you're ready for the move up now, I'm willing to give him a two fights and then Martinez.
Re: GGG might fight Andy Lee in April.. is he the new Erdei?
You can tell GGG is a quality fighter. Sergio is on the verge of retiring and wants to make money. Strum has avoided him and will continue to do so. Quillen is not in his league and is trying to avoid him. I do not want GGG going up or down in weight, just clear what is left out there in the middleweight division.
