And I'm glad you included the motivation aspect as well, not because I believe it's true of modern fighters, I don't, but because you identified that the bad aspects of a modern fighter would be bestowed on him as well as the good which most OTNB focus o solely.
I'm only concerned about the Joe Louis who actually WAS vs the Riddick Bowe who actually WAS.
Throw that Bowe in 1930's and 40's Bowe would have deserted the army and got shot.

Think of it this way bruh. Throw Bowe in the 30s and slavery would still be fresh on his mind which would make him a very hungry fighter. We are talking about the 30s bruh. Bowe wouldn't have the luxury of fast foods , he would have to walk for miles just to get to the nearest butcher shop.
Imagine a hungry 6"5 giant VS a tiny Louis. Bowe would do a demolition job on him.

This is just wrong on so many levels. ;D

Why is it wrong? I think u misunderstood me because I wasn't trying to be funny. I was being objective about the 1930s.
The 30s wasn't too long after the blacks got freed but they still dealt with discrimination.
This is one of the reasons why there were so many great, hungry black fighters during that time and bowe would be no different.
Bowe with his ftreakish size, would be a straight up monster.
One thing is for sure bruh and its that bowe would have a totally different mindset.

A hungry man does not have the luxury of being a 6 foot 5 giant.
Im not going to act like nutrition has no part in it but size is mainly determined by genetics..
Re: Can you imagine what Riddick Bowe would do to Joe Louis?
Yeah I think Riddick Bowe would have still grown to be an abnormally large man anyhow.
In fact there is some evidence that caloric restrictions can lead to a taller+leaner body type than the shorter+thicker type that high calorie diets lead to.
The ancient Spartans were first to employ such a diet to their soldiers in the hopes of producing taller more athletic soldiers.
Of course I think diet has mcuh to do with the overall size but I have a feeling Riddick was gonna be around 6'5" tall anyway!! Just maybe not so hefty!! Or chubby.

So maybe it would have been better if Bowe had been born in 30's where he would have the hunger and desire to realise his potential.

He'd run a risk of not having the pedigree and Olympic background. Also given the time he'd probably be drafted after WWII. If he didn't flunk out of boot again, off course. If he just climbed into the time machine thread though he could just walk into 1930 his fat jolly disinterested self maybe ??? Who knows.

I take little too serious ;D Especially when it comes to Conn being dismissed and called a bum while a obese shot Dokes is not for Bowe. It's better than f'kn Disney world while on blotter!
Re: Can you imagine what Riddick Bowe would do to Joe Louis?
Any takers on the Dokes that Bowe fought vs the Conn that Louis did??
;) ;) lol
The same goes for Louis vs Bowes career list of opponents as does Ali vs Wlads career list of opponents imo. Double digit losses and losing to every major opponent.
And should Wlad or Bowe have faced Louis or Ali's opponents they would have knocked almost every single one of them out (with an obvious exception in the case of Foreman of course). And not only that...
It would be EASY work!!
Re: Can you imagine what Riddick Bowe would do to Joe Louis?
I've got a good one for ya...
Billy Conn vs Gennady Golovkin??
Golovkin KO
Joe Louis vs Jesse Fergusson?
Fergusson KO
In more competitive fights though.
Re: Can you imagine what Riddick Bowe would do to Joe Louis?
Riddick Bowe would fall on Joe Louis. His lard ass would smash Mr Louis.
