Andre Ward is more trouble than he's worth. His style is as dry as his commentary and watching his fights is like watching an anaconda eating a deer. The first minute is interesting till you realize the deer has given up its will to fight. After that its just an eternity of slow tedious digestion.

Now if he would be willing to kill himself and most likely his career to be half a man for Floyd much like Oscar did for Manny then why would he not be willing to shed a few pounds to meet GGG for legacy?

Why did Golovkin say he would go down to 154 to fight Floyd but turned down Lara at 154? Does it really need to be explained why "everybody" would risk going to a weight for Floyd that they wouldn't for anyone else? If Golovkin offered Ward $10 million for a fight at 160 or a catchweight. then you bet he'd be all over trying to melt down. And once again, Team Golovkin said they would fight anybody from 154 to 175. And yet again an article is up today with his team saying they would fight any "compelling" fight from 154 to 168. I guess they have a different meaning of the word compelling. They definitely changed their tune to now make it more discretionary. It would not even be an issue if they didn't go around claiming Golovkin to be the boogeyman and stating they'd fight anybody from 154 to 175. Give me your take on Golovkin flat out turning down Ward and the smaller Lara?

GGG is an HBO fighter. Lara calling him out was Lara grandstanding. There was no substance behind it. For example, if Lara wanted to realistically challenge for a middleweight title he could call out Peter Quillin, who he shares promoter with. Instead he calls out a guy on a network that doesn't show GB fighters? Smells like :horseshit:

If you can call deciding not to move up in weight to face Ward a duck, which I'm not sure you can (I don't call it a duck that Floyd hasn't fought Martinez, but his legacy suffers from it), then GGG has ducked Ward. He is moving up to fight Junior and won't fight Ward. That's a duck. Now, I'm assuming he is only moving up because of the money involved and he intends on moving back down, but still, he would make decent money fighting Ward too. Basically, I can't fault him for making a decision based on risk/reward, but I also can't say that he is helping his legacy out by not doing it either.

With all that said, I'm on board for a Junior-GGG fight at the forum in LA at 68. It'll be a fun fight to watch and Junior's size advantage evens out the fight at little bit.
