Do you have a link where Golovkin's team offered Ward anything? I've seen many interviews where Golovkin's team said they were focused on middleweight, not ready for the Ward fight yet, Ward has to concede, etc. And I'm sure you're aware that everybody would concede to making a weight for Floyd.
I cant find the quote I came across where he mentions a fair catch and faie split so I have to come clean on that. But why would Ward melt to 160 for Floyd when he has hinted at 175? According to Ward he does not get what he is entitled to so he would do the same thing Dawson did? Ruin his career by ripping muscle from his bones for one major with Floyd?

[Editor's note: Golovkin and his representatives have informed HBO executives that he's willing to fight the contenders and titleholders of the 168- and 175-pound division, and he hasn't turned down any super middleweight or light heavyweight opponents cleared by the U.S. cable network.]
Having said that Golovkin and Kovalev are being touted as "the Boogey Men in their divisions," Ward invites an eventual match with Golovkin, a 2004 Olympic silver medalist from Kazakhstan.
"Hey, when that fight happens, it's going to be a great fight for boxing. A lot of people say that he's gotten a lot of unnecessary hype, but I've got a lot of respect for Gennady Golovkin," said Ward. "The thing is that against the guys that he's fighting, he's doing the things that he's supposed to do against those guys, I mean, he's getting them out of there."

Now if he would be willing to kill himself and most likely his career to be half a man for Floyd much like Oscar did for Manny then why would he not be willing to shed a few pounds to meet GGG for legacy?
