A) Wakeboarding is "an extreme sport" which would be odd for a boxing champion to be doing while preparing for a big fight especially after having just recovered from an injury which postponed the fight. Paddleboarding is exercise. Just making note that there is a difference and it is substantial.

Wlad has dealt with this kind of shit before and he has NEVER "played the game"...he seems genuinely pissed off and rightfully so. Ali hounded Sonny Liston like that well before the days of the internet and people never said "That's staged!" even when Liston drew a gun on Ali and fired blanks in the air in a crowded casino.
Shannon Briggs is out for money, he's out for 1 last big shot at the titles and he's pulling out all the stops.

Wlad gets a fight that people are talking about... There's barely enough opponents to capture hardcore boxing fan's interest outside of Germany, let alone casual fans... Hence the need for pantomime.
Has Wlad done better numbers than when he fought Haye? Would you blame him for trying to recreate a grudge match?

A Wilder fight would get some interest, I also think that it would be a much riskier fight. It's well known that Briggs is passed his peak and has poor stamina, nobody really knows how good Wilder is yet.

wilder? the guy aint fought ANYONE yet. im not so convinced he is the real deal. however, id still rather watch wilder & briggs fighting chumps than wlad boring us boxing fans to death fight after fight. theres nothing like a wlad klit fight to get u in the proper laidback mood for a good nights sleep!! lol.

Briggs should do less stalking and more fighting to earn his shot. Briggs has a decent chin and good power to make a fight still interesting. Briggs vs Arreola could still be fun.

Regardless this is a ridiculous situation...perhaps more ridiculous than Larry Holmes drop kicking Trevor Berbeick because at least at that point in time both fighters were very relevant. Shannon Briggs is a non-entity in this heavyweight division.

Briggs is now whining about receiving death threats because of his constant pestering of Wladimir Klitschko. Shannon is using the death threats to attempt to shame Wlad into fighting him. Shannon really is pulling out all the stops, he's talking about how he had no big brother to do his fighting for him :rolleyes: , about how difficult he had it growing up in Brownsville :eek:, and about how he doesn't need his internet fans to fight his battles for him which begs the question "Does Shannon Briggs HAVE internet fans???"
Briggs has done a lot of talking and a lot of irritating of Wlad, but he's not proven he deserves a shot where it counts and that's IN THE RING.
Since getting beaten to a pulp by Vitali Shannon Briggs has fought 5 fighters with a combined record of 95-41-5...none of those fighters has much (if any) experience vs the top tier of the heavyweight division, they are all just professional opponents, record padders. Shannon Briggs is shouting at and following around THE MAN of the division...what makes him think he has earned a shot?
