Think about he A josh / Tyson comparison?
I'm happy Joshua is a bit reckless with a vindictive streak. He could have easily kept the fight long, easily won safety-safety stylee, but he went on the inside and obviously enjoyed a bit of a punch-up. Great.
I don't want to see the next Wlad, I want to see the next Tyson/Lewis.
Price could chin anyone out early, but I would be surprised if he wasn't the one kipping - quick - whenever they fought.
Nice thanks @Andre. Just enjoying my java fix on this Thanksgiving holiday Monday and now I have a scrap to watch.
Who does Joshua boxing style remind you of?
Lennox, Bruno or Holyfield?
That was impressive. I love the way this kid fights. Uses the entire ring. Great feet. I dont think he lacks power but he trades it in for smarts and never gets caught flat footed or grinding up for a shot. Its pretty evident that he has the power by that impressive close but he's smart and he unleashes at the right time. He's not going out there trying to take the guys head off. He humiliates them first and then brings it later.
Very nice.
Things have gone as good as you could reasonably expect up to now but let's see what happens when he gets put in with a live body and gets hit on the chin.
I'd be surprised if Sprott makes it past the first round.
Seems to be coming along nicely. Matchmaking needs to be on point. Maybe one or two ''common opponents'' within the next 12 months? Personally, I think he could do with a southpaw sooner rather than later. (Audley Harrison, Tony Thompson, Luis Ortiz etc... maybe not Ruslan Chagaev yet)
I saw a couple of counter right hooks sail past his head that had me thinking, he probably needs to prioritise that punch as 'imminent' on his radar.
AJ is gonna get nailed sooner or later when he's in close and fighting on the inside and that's what he needs so he can learn from his mistakes, he was def wide open at times but again these are the times/fights that you wanna be making them.
Really impressed with his speed and power... he busted up his face in a matter of punches and he varies his attacks well using good combos and doesn't waste too many punches and get over excited.
We saw it in his last fight and more so on Saturday that he's got that nasty streak in him and enjoys hurting his opponent which I personally love about him.
Sprott for me is a waste of time and is banged out in the first round.
I'd love to see AJ hook up with Tyson and learn the art of in fighting by a former master at it and become more of a complete fighter ;)
Joshua v Danny Williams, Sprott, Audley, Price, Chisora, Fury in that order in the next 3 years.
3 years!
That's 4 fights in 3 years for a guy who will have his 10th in a year soon ;)
No chance he's gonna stay that inactive and have a fight every 9 months plus he is now officially World ranked.
He could Breeze through Audley and Price with first round wins as they both have no punch resistance.
Chisora and Fury are at least tests but tests I'd fully expect him to win.
If AJ can take care of Chisora in 1 or 2 rounds then we really do have a top top Heavyweight knocking on the door.
Would be nice to see Price land a few bombs on him as long as that one lasts too ;)
I think AJ might well go all the way. Make no mistake though if Price lands "one or two bombs on him" he will be sparked flat out, however good his chin is.
Danny Williams? What a sicko.
Joshua's already too good for the old Britsh guys. Realistically how long is Sprott gonna last? His last fight he was seriously ironed out by 50-year-old Kali Meehan.
