Yeah, not the greatest source. I'm sorry I couldn't find the one I read on Boxing scene, it was a couple of lines at the end of a report . if I find it , I'll forward it .
I did look on Hearn's Twitter page though and it was as they said. The reason I think Hearn has been quiet is because he KNOWS Froch is retired, and I reckon Hearn reckons Froch is just being a tease. Hearn can't be fucked wasting energy and time on a match up only for Froch to say no.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Froch is bottling it or anything like that. And if he hadn't have been so inactive at his age, with the size difference , he might even win the fight.
What I'm saying is that Froch knows that you're a long time retired and he probably hasn't had as many out of ring options thrown at him as he thought he would, and he is just craving and milking every last drop of spotlight.
Re: Carl Froch has just posted this picture on Twitter...
It's pretty shameful how he has no interest in fighting Ward, the guy who beat him and is the best guy in his weight division.

I thought he does want to, but says he probably won't win.

In Boxing weekly he said he will probably retire, I think Froch is running out of options.
Re: Carl Froch has just posted this picture on Twitter...
He's going to fight De Gale. The only thing holding the fight up is De Gale agreeing to take the ver y short end of the purse.

If that is true, I don't blame Degale. He's the champion, why should he take the short end?
With every day that goes by, Froch is less marketable and less relevant. It'll end up that Degale v Groves will make more money than Degale v Froch.
FROCH IS RETIRED!

Froch gave the title away. :)

This is one of the better fights in boxing if it happens. Unfortunately, I doubt it does. It seems like a lot of posturing by Froch.
Re: Carl Froch has just posted this picture on Twitter...
Yeah I generally like Froch's dickheadedness but I'm not impressed by this at all. It's embarrassing.

Yes he did. So he deserves the bigger end of the wedge? He gave up that advantage with the title.
He started making the big money with the Groves fights , and let's be fair that was down to Groves as much as was him. He was the Champ and took 80-85% . He can't have it both ways.

Shame for Carl, he's left it too late to find another big money fight. Boxing wise Degale GGG and Groves again offer interesting 50/50 fights, Ward always beats him. Happy retirement talking Jim Watt type bollox.
Re: Carl Froch has just posted this picture on Twitter...
I think Froch's loud mouth girlfriend (if they are still together) could distract GGG and let him land a big punch. It would be a good fight if Froch shakes off the ring rust. I'm interested and Calzaghe def was the one dodging if any of them were. Froch was a low reward high risk but it doesn't mean Calzaghe gets a pass for not fighting him. Calzaghe was fighting guys like Manfredo instead.
Re: Carl Froch has just posted this picture on Twitter...
Froch maybe secretly holding out for Chavez Jr. If Jr wins his next fight I think for Froch it's the perfect fight to retire on.

Froch was offered the Calzaghe fight twice and bottled the opportunity both times.
