Very funny, I have to say! ;D
Re: Is Floyd Mayweather an ATG?
With all the Pactard crying, you'd hardly think there were any grown ups here.
Thanks for setting me straight gramps.

The problem was Floyd injured his hand against Judah and told Arum to make the fight happen in the fall of 2006. Arum said no, the fight is happening on August 12th, 2006 because I already have the venue booked. Floyd said no, that's not enough time to heal up and get a proper camp in, so Arum booked the Rahman/Maskaev rematch for that date and the fight fell through.
Who are the two guys people say Floyd ducked? Margarito is one, and I guess Paul Williams is the other? Both tough guys, but would any of you honestly pick either guy against Floyd? Paul was a beast but had his flaws. Quintana outboxed him at WW.
There's video of Floyd calling out a ton of guys, including DLH and Mosley while they were in their primes. I actually have an article from 2002 or so where Floyd calls out De La Hoya, even though Floyd was fighting at 130 and DLH was at 154 (Floyd Sr thought his son was crazy and was going to get killed).
Floyd talks a good fight lol shame he couldn't back it uo. Floyd NEVER wanted Margarito he was scared shitless of hm
That's a ridiculous post I highly doubt there's any elite fighters that are scared of anyone, they fight for a living none of them are scared. People need to remember boxing is a business and making the most money should be your number 1 priority. I know if I was a boxer I wouldn't give a shit about the fans I would want the most money for putting my life on the line
Floyd lost $$$$$$$$$ by fighting Baldomir & not Margarito. Floyd saw what he did to Cotto & punked out. Avoided an Oscar rematch too . Don't forget his tearful "retirement" for good performance too ROFL The scene with Ellerbee consoling & caressing Floyd in tears was heart wrenching lol
Re: Is Floyd Mayweather an ATG?
One of the most annoying things about Flo Mos is they keep referring to Floyd as a FIGHTER!! Floyd couldn't fight his way out of a wet paper sack He could run away backwards & get out though
Re: Is Floyd Mayweather an ATG?
Floyd Mayweather TBE!!!!
Thanks for coming out CJ Ross! Oh... What were the judges scores of the Mayweather vs Pacquioa fight again? HAHAHA!

Youre points are like fighters exist in a vacuum where they arent benefactors of the economy, the mass media, or technology or innovation. The world makes floyd, not the other way around.
I don't understand what your point is.
Floyd makes more money than any boxer in the history of the sport. FACT.
Floyd takes home a bigger percentage of the gross than any boxer in the history of the sport. FACT.
Disposable income, the internet... who gives a shit? Floyd out earned every boxer that came before him, that's all I know and that's all that matters.

How?
He would have made 8 million vs Margarito reportedly.
He made $8,000,001 to fight Baldomir.
It's amazing how people just say what they want without any care as to whether or not the statement is true.
One of you guys should have at least told me that we didn't have to tell the truth in this discussion.
In that case, Floyd IMO proved he is TBE when he knocked out Sugar Ray Robinson at the Garden.
Of course, we all remember that he earned his shot at SRR by first moving up to MW and beating Marvin Hagler over 15 rounds.
Re: Is Floyd Mayweather an ATG?
Ray Robinson was weight drained bro. Come on now.

Ahhh people have been making excuses for why Floyd knocked out Robinson for decades. I say Floyd KO'd him fair and square!
Re: Is Floyd Mayweather an ATG?
Sorry... but I don't subscribe to this "Floyd ducked Margarito" crap.
First of all... Margarito was/is physically a much bigger man than Floyd. Since when is it called "ducking" for a much smaller fighter not facing a much bigger fighter?
Second... why on Earth should Floyd have graced Margacheato with the millions of dollars that would've come from a Floyd fight? Cheato should've just thanked his lucky stars he wasn't banned from boxing outright, after being unmasked as the scumbag cheater he is, never mind being rewarded with a huge, undeserved payday.
Thirdly... had Floyd fought Margarito, he would've pot-shotted him even worse than Pac did. Probably wouldn't have inflicted the damage that Pac did... but he also wouldn't have been touched by the glacier-slow Margarito. A dull fight that Floyd would've sleepwalked through.
Personally, I don't think Floyd's been a ducker... but if anyone's going to accuse him of ducking someone, pleeeeease use a different example than Margarito.

Youre an idiot in my book lol Floyd- Margarito was the fight everyone wanted to see after Margarito destroyed Cotto. The PPV numbers would have dwarfed the Baldomir numbers. Fight woulf have grossed double what the Baldomir stinker did.
Floyd ducked Tony because he knew he couldn't beat him & would end up demolished like Cotto did. Go ahead buy this farce against Berto but remember one thing?? No one is laughing more or ridiculing you more than FLOYD himself

Firstly the guy whose name you use was PROVEN to have used doctored wraps in fights.
NOTHING was ever proven that Margarito EVER cheated. To accuse Tony of cheating is just you guys excuse for your idol ducking fighting him.
You all say it would have been so easy for Floyd against Tony so why didn't he fight him ?? Cause he knew Tony would kick his cowardly ass that's why
Youre quick to call Tony a cheater but what about Floyd's 3 supposed failed drug tests
which were apparently swept under the carpet by the NSAC ?? Then his supposed big $$$$ payment to USADA to keep his test records secret??? He doesn't look like a person trying to clean up the sport does he??
