Maybe they see it as a double defence, if Hughie wins the title then they can hope he fails his hearing and the title becomes vacant.
You could be right. They'll get paid and if they lose they can try to get the decision over turned to a nc and get paid again fighting for the vacant belt.

The clue is in the date.

Meaning? The fight is May 6. I thought the hearing was May 8.

Thin Mike Tyson was denied so any ex-criminal would not be welcome.
Re: Joseph Parker-Hughie Fury - April 1st New Zealand.
What does this mean for Hughie? I remember Peter wasn't in Tyson's corner for the Cunningham fight fit the same reasons. even more stacked against him now.

Hughie should carry on with the fight. The whole thing seems a mess because they should have known he would not be allowed in.
Amateurs.
Re: Joseph Parker-Hughie Fury - April 1st New Zealand.
No chance of Hughie pulling out, why would he? It's not like it's a shock to them, just as they knew Peter couldn't go when Tyson went to New York. Not having Peter was used as an excuse for Tyson being dumped on his arse, that's all.
If Tyson had won easy nobody would have ever noticed or mentioned that Peter wasn't there.

I can imagine Tyson Fury getting in the ring in between rounds holding a tablet with Peter Fury screaming instructions via facetime or skype or some other modern day video communication device

The trainer’s application for a Visa was knocked back by the authorities due to two previous prison terms — for possession and conspiracy to supply amphetamine and a later charge of drug-related money laundering
