Tyson might have had faster hands and a more technical approach to boxing but he wouldn't beat Marciano. Why? Heart, Chin, Stamina, the ability to carry power for 15 rounds, the ability to get up and win, the ability to KO someone when he NEEDED to.

Tyson wouldn't beat Marciano. Tyson would annihilate Marciano. Marciano would be the equivalent of a tune-up for Mike on account of the fact that he would bring nothing to the table that Mike hadn't seen before. Marciano never saw anything on the same planet as Tyson. As far as Wlad, remember he's the weak link of the brothers, Vitaly would have more success, based on the fact that he had far less weaknesses, and since when do weaknesses not come into play when creating hypothetical matchups? Everyone has strength's and weaknesses, but you'll be hardpressed to find a fighter with more glaring weaknesses than Wlad, and that's why he would be conquered by so many.

IMO Liston was one of the most underrated heavyweight champs ever. He was the first 'giant' heavyweight, and was a very scary customer. Great job, better than Wlad, more power, better skills, good chin. Just don;t see any way Wlad would win that one (IMO only, of course)

the only problem with that statement is that chris byrd sucks and ali was fantastic and always got up for big fights...he woudl've treated this like the foreman fight.....he would have allowed wlad to punch himself out---and the slapped him silly like and kayoed him in 6 or 7--maybe sooner if wlad got gassed out quicker...........plain and simple

1 frazier---would have kayoed wlad flat inside a few rounds.....u have to rememeber the head and body movement that frazier possessed...he was so herky jerky--he able to slip by ali's jab and hurt him what do u think he'd do to wlad's longer slower jab? its ridiculous...frazier would have killed him to the body and whacked him out real easy--its a tune up at best for prime frazier

2 foreman---george would probably knock him dead today at age 57 or whatever he is--seriously---wlad would get knocked out in the first round--period........

3 norton---ken would have kayoed wlad too.............wlad doesnt possess one punch kayo power per se and thats what norton was susceptible to...norton would have outhustled him until wlad gassed

Aside from this being the dumbest statement I may have ever read, it's also not even thought out. (Ali has a longer reach than Wlad, Byrd had a WAY shorter reach, that's why he lost).

I think that everyone should look at george Foreman a little closer before you make that comment. Vlad can hit hard and Foreman is not smart. Vlad can move and after the Ali fight he was just average. Foreman was only 6'3" and 224 not really that big by todays standards and training was not as strength oriented as today. I actually think that George was a better boxer when he came back. If george didn't knock Vlad out after about 4 rounds he would have lost. I am from that era.

Wladimer wouldn't possess the strategy to know what to do when Foreman hit him when Wlad gets buzzed on the chin his legs instantly go like Meldrick Taylor after the Chavez lost. Wlad has shot legs, he will look great but once his chin is tapped his legs go, much like the Roy Jones of today. I think Foreman would have beaten Wlad it would resemble the Ron Lyle fight and Wlad isn't as skilled as Jimmy Young and Jimmy Young and Muhammad Ali were the only people George lost to and Wladimer is not on their level. I wouldn't worry about Foreman getting tired, don't forget Foreman fought 8 bouts in one day after he lost to Ali to prove that it wasn't the case of him getting tired that Ali beat him.

Let me address the Tyson-Marciano talk. Rocky had everything to beat Tyson...HEART and DESIRE....Tyson was fast with his hands but ROUTINELY didn't fight on the inside which Rocky did....did I mention the Rock could break someone's neck with that uppercut he had....what did Tyson get hit with all his career?

Yall are still saying the same shit..."Wlad has weak legs, Wlad has no chin, Wlad gets gased" WHAT ABOUT Wlad has power, Wlad is athletic, Wlad is fast, Wlad can BOX with a true boxer.

1) Frazier's head movement didn't save him vs Foreman. I do think Frazier would beat him but it would take some time to corner Wlad and tire him out 5-7. BUT perhaps you could look at the Peter fight to guess the outcome, many knockdowns but lots of boxing between them.
2) Ali STILL HAD TROUBLE WITH TALL BOXERS...address it, Wlad can be related to Norton in the fact that he's tall and can box and has a lackluster chin. Wlad's faster, more powerful, and more athletic than Norton!
