Re: Anthony "HYPE" Joshua won't make it outside UK
It’s a good fight purely because wilder could clearly knock him out. I don’t think that’s the most likely outcome, AJ could certainly stop wilder, but has far less chance of doing so with one punch. He is somewhat rigid, and wilder is a violent and explosive guy. How the first round goes would likely be very telling.
Re: Anthony "HYPE" Joshua won't make it outside UK
Wilder will ~pierce~ Tony Joshua's rigid squared-up robotic stance
Pierce his chin, like a pin ~pops thru~ a big, fat maggot, SPLAT!

I just watched a highlight reel of all twenty one of his knockouts and the first 18 guys in there nobody ever heard of before
Okay Kevin Johnson and Carlos Takam and Joseph Parker
Surely you don't count Charles Martin?
Really poor competition. I mean really poor and had his record padded like the gossamer and fluffy padding under the rear end of an 18th century French princess
He might be something in his own little Arena but the moment he steps out of that and tries to fight abroad you will see who he really is and that is a really overhyped and manufactured and protected fighter.
Steve he beat Wlad mate Olympic Champion and World Champion what more do you want.?

41 year old Wladimir Klitschko.
Not saying too much is it

It's saying a bit more than anything Wilder has done

For a geezer Wlad actually raised his game though. Every bout of one for multiple titles for a decade and ones a capable boxer and two time drug cheat.
Re: Anthony "HYPE" Joshua won't make it outside UK
There isn’t much to actually separate the two. Wlad certainly fought better against Aj then he had for quite some time prior, but Ortiz might have pulled off the performance of his life against Wilder, and he’d always had extremely good hands for a hw, however old he is. I don’t think anyone would be confident in predicting how either Waldo vs Ortiz, or wilder vs aj would have gone on those same nights....

So run it by me again. In his 41 fights, how come we’ve NEVER heard Wilder call out Wlad or be linked with a fight with him, or try to unify against him ?
Strange , because he wasn’t shy about being vocal about calling Joshua out when Joshua was a NOVICE, before Joshua was even British champion.
A WORLD champion calling out a novice! ;D;D
And we’ve heard Wilder call out a 3 year inactive Fury. But we’ve NEVER heard him mention Wlad’s name EVER!
Hmmmmm. Don’t you find that strange?

That’s a pretty good point, but I do think wilder would have taken the fight given the same circumstances. For me, Ortiz was as dangerous at the time, as far as risk reward....

I disagree with this part, he was on 'medication' and who knows how old he really is.
Re: Anthony "HYPE" Joshua won't make it outside UK
Wilder didn't call out Vladimir because Vladimir is all wrong for him. Klitschko could pick off and Parry his amateurish shots and lean back well out of the way of Wilder's range. Klitschko has that very good raised arm defense and that would really block those Wild and wide windmill shots coming in.

So if Wilder beat Wlad it would be a great win?
AJ beat Wlad and he is an over the hill 41 year old and the win means nothing.
Re: Anthony "HYPE" Joshua won't make it outside UK
Well if Wilder beat Wlad it would be a great win, as Wilder has a style Wlad could embarrass badly.

I'm confident in saying Wlad would have beat Ortiz and AJ would have annihilated Wilder (unless he got caught whilst finishing him).
Wilder spent most of the Ortiz fight with his right hand cocked, he was controlled with nothing more than a methodical punch output which dropped to virtual zero after round 6? 7?. Ortiz clearly punched himself out, Wilder didn't do anything to turn the fight around.
AJ was outboxing Wlad before he ran into a brick wall but then resumed outboxing him.
Wlad-Ortiz would be a nice boring slow paced boxing match which ultimately the longer, rangier, fitter, younger man would win 10 out of 10.
