It’s a good fight purely because wilder could clearly knock him out. I don’t think that’s the most likely outcome, AJ could certainly stop wilder, but has far less chance of doing so with one punch. He is somewhat rigid, and wilder is a violent and explosive guy. How the first round goes would likely be very telling.

That’s a pretty good point, but I do think wilder would have taken the fight given the same circumstances. For me, Ortiz was as dangerous at the time, as far as risk reward....Quote:

Wilder didn't call out Vladimir because Vladimir is all wrong for him. Klitschko could pick off and Parry his amateurish shots and lean back well out of the way of Wilder's range. Klitschko has that very good raised arm defense and that would really block those Wild and wide windmill shots coming in.
