Re: NFL player Damar Hamlin collapses during game; suffers cardiac arrest
The reason why I was asking about heart attacks is because I had one in December. It was very scary and was thinking about the kids I would be leaving behind.
I have no history of heart trouble so was surprised when it happened to me.
I am OK now and recovering.
The NHS staff were excellent, and I had a stent fitted as the artery was blocked. I am getting my fitness back.
I was also diagnosed as having Covid at the same time. I thought I had a flu as I could not shake it off and it was far worse than a cold.
I am now suddenly on 6 tablets a day when I did not take any. I will probably be on pills for the rest of my life. These are Aspirin and Statins. I had a small cut shaving and it would not stop bleeding for hours because the tablets thin the blood.

Wow! :o
I'm sorry to hear you went through all that... but thankful that you came out ok. :)
It's funny how we never think something like that is going to happen to us... and yet it does. That's why I'm a firm believer in regular medical checkups in all aspects, even from what would seem to be an early age.
The pills, yeah... you're likely on them for life. I imagine you're also going to see a cardiologist regularly for the rest of your life as well.
A blocked artery is something that creeps up on you. Diet issues... hereditary factors... so many things that can have an effect on that. But the important thing is the problem was resolved, and stents nowadays also have a type of medication that inhibits further formation of the plaque that clogs up your arteries.
But diet and exercise, my friend. Those are your key resolutions for the New Year. :)
Take care of yourself.

I have introduced more vegetables and salad into my diet. Drinking water regularly and exercise has always been part of my lifestyle.

i don't agree with this personally, not trying to argue just my opinion. i haven't had a medical check up in near a decade. for me one's health is the responsibility of that individual. this last three years has shown me that many in the medical industry are not actually interested in people's health, rather than deal with the causes of an illness they will rather use medication to suppress symptoms rather than cure the cause of the illness, not fixing the problem & often leading to more issues. this is just my own personal opinion & i'm not saying i believe all in the medical industry are this way

Bloody hell mate. So glad they managed to get you sorted out. I know you have continued to play sport, ride your bike and work out and yet still you had what must have been such a scary experience. My Dad has had 3 heart attacks now and has a couple of stents and I have a leaky heart valve but thankfully have not had a heart attack myself.
I have a few clot episodes which sent me to hospital and they have put me on wayfarin last time and then forgot and the next day gave me a routine blood test before discharging me and it was like something out of Hammer house of horror spurting blood everywhere....until they remembered and bandaged me up. How we laughed... Lol.
It is scary thinking about the kids. Hope the medication will help ensure you never have to go through that again.
Stay safe mate... Be shit here without you... (:

Master take care of yourself. Yes more veggies and water is good. Olive oil only, no seed oils like cottonseed/canola/soybean oils --- forget those. Eat your crucifers like brussel sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, etc. Eat fish.

Except in Masters case without 'the medical establishment' he wouldn't be here. Without medication suppressing symptoms, my wife would risk dying from epileptic convulsions every day instead of a few times a year. If you are able bodied it is fine to think you have it all sorted, but you are deluding yourself.
You really do sound incredibly idiotic much of the time.

Had no idea bud hate hearing that for you and family. Glad you've wrangled it and have kept clear vision all along with exercise and dietary changes to watch those kids of yours grow old themselves. It can sneak up on you with accumulating factors we've all been guilty of taking for granted, bit of out of sight out of mind until. It's been in the back of my mind last couple of years after being sick and slipping back into some bad habits diet wise and stress around career and how time/ wear and tear catches up. Aging is a humbling shitshow of a process ;D. As mentioned mentality is massive, core of focus and basically doing best to rise about the BS and laugh. Find a spot as I've always said. Humor is literally good and needed medicine. Eyes on the prize bud and take care of you and yours bud!

who's to say that the chemicals that have been put into masters & your wife's body throughout their lives hasn't lead in some way to where their health is today? i'm not deluding myself, i just listen to what my body tells & shows me & make changes as necessary. not even a week into the new year & your already throwing the insults larry? can't you ever just be civil & just disagree & have a rational discussion you spergy spastic little parasite? did you miss the part where i said it was my opinion you retard? & from what you are saying my health sounds like it's lights years better than yours & your wife's & masters, so i think i good larry

Calling some a 'spergy spastic little parasite' is an insult, pointing out that much of what you say (including the insults) makes you sound... Incredibly idiotic, is not an insult or even an opinion, it is a fact.

Thank you all for the kind words and good advice. Especially laughing more.
I did not get the booster but was due to have it and could have blamed it for the attack if I was a sceptic. So it was a long time after my civic jab.
The doctors were giving me pills to stop blood clots and had none at the time.
I do not have high blood pressure, chloresteral or family history. I do eat a lot of meat so will eat more green.
The only reason I can think that may have contributed to the heart attack is poor sleep and stress in general life.
Please do not argue Tic and Beans you are causing me anxiety. :)

those are definitely possible causes but didn't you say you also had the covid vaccine, i guessing two shots, prior to your health issues? if that is the case then would it not also go on the list as a possible cause?

It was way back in early 2022. So doubt it but I do not think I will take the booster now anyway as I had covid and should have the antibodies.
I am eligible for the flu jab and never take that as my immune system is good.
Age is a more probable factor.
