it may not have been the highest profile robbery but it was the worse i saw
DLH has been involved in some decisions, which it could be argued, could of gone for/against him... That is what is known as a disputed decision.Quote:

Ramirez/WhitakerI; Lewis/HolyfieldI are robberies...
IMO
I didnt think that Hatton/Calloza was disputed as it was just to close. You could make a case for either fighter for the win.Quote:

My second pick would have to be Hagler-Leonard , Hagler won that fight hands down....Itr really disappointed me as a young boxer and a fan to hear him quit in the post fight interview....That was a great fighter that did not let the corruption get to where it was going to corrupt him....
Last but not least, I think Hearns-Leonard II(The last fight between them)....Hearns knocks down leonard 4 or 5 times in the fight and the fight still ends up a draw.....Making Leonard the luckiest man in boxing history....I really hated him after that fight...
I will give you a cool click for ODH vs Sturm. Sturm won that fight in solid fashion. Hagler and Leonard only fought once not twice but you have it as a second fight. And Hearns knocked Leonard down twice in the second meeting, Hearns should have won but they were out of their primes by then and fighting only on legacyQuote:

I thought Tommy knocked Leonard down 4 times withing like 3-5 rounds that fight....It has been a long time since that fight though and I am only going off of what I can remember...
Thnx for the props also...
These two popped into my head right off...Quote:

Sweet Pea is one of my fav's also . I honestly can't remember the rounds of those fights except for PW -vs. Chavez , I was at ringside , It was a complete travesty in boxing. Whitaker kicked his country ass from pillar to post ! Peat was a complete boxer, he would circle his opponent and get angles like a mofo !Quote:

Then the 12 rounds of total ass whoopin he recieved was enough to cap it off...
Here is my thought on that fight...
When you are a fighter that is 25-0 going up against a guy that has a 41-0 record, take a closer look at that record and ask yourself if you are really ready to step into the ring with that....
Jeff needed like 10 more fights before he got in there with a madman like Calzaghe...
Good Luck,
Coach
Here's a hometown decision most don't remember:
Francisco Lorenzo vs Juan Diaz. He should have been the first man to beat Diaz, but the judges robbed him. Lorenzo was also robbed against Courtney Burton, fortuneatly last time out judges did the right thing and gave him the win against Nate Campell though. I hope Lorenzo gets a title shot or big fight someday, sucker can throw 100 punches a round every round.
Pernell Whitaker vs Julio Cesar Chavez
Pernell Whitaker vs Ramirez 1
Lennox Lewis vs Holyfield 1
Larry Holmes vs Michael Spinks 2
Anthony Bosante vs Jesse Brinkley
Fenech v Nelson 1...
Altho Nelson destroyed jeff in the second fight. No way the first was a draw fenech should have won by atleast 4 rounds.
Never seen that one heard it was controversial though.Quote:

I would say that Whitaker-Chavez should go down as being the worst of the two, because at least Lewis got the chance to fight a rematch and get his victory. Chavez wanted no part of a rematch.
Dont know but I bet he never left the USA after that did Whitaker and wouldnt blame him.

What would be the worst call in history?
i'm gonna have 2 go with julio cesar chavez vs. meldrick taylor when richard steele stopped the fight with 2 seconds left.
I tend to disagree with this statement (I know I'm in the minority) because it is a decision that could have saved a life. Most agree that Taylor was not the same after that beating, what would've happend if he had taken one more pounch is anybodies guess.Quote:

Taylor/Chavez was not a bad call, doesn't matter how much time is left the refs job is to protect the fighters and that's exactly what he did, it only takes one punch to finish a fighter completely and well, as a fighter i thought Taylor was done after that fight, imagine what one more well placed punch would have done
Yes it was a bad call, because Meldrick Taylor deserved the oppertunity to show that he was alright. Richard Steele should have asked him to come forward. It was a terrible call because Meldrick was given no chance to prove that he was alright.Quote:

I agree that the Chavez/Taylor stoppage was the worst call ever. Meldrick was winning a championship fight and deserved the benefit of the doubt to continue the fight. And, I'm not so sure that I buy the excuse of Richard Steele not realizing that the fight was seconds away from ending.
In hindsight, it might have been a good call since Taylor could have been even more seriously hurt by Chavez. But, on the other hand, the mind is a powerful force and maybe he would've recovered better from his injuries knowing that he was the new light welter champion of the world.

The ref allways blaimed himself for not stopping it earlier,if you saw the fight as it happened,Kim was so badly hurt allmost from the get go,and was weight loss spent.Fight should have been stopped early,it ended up going to the 14th when Mancini stopped him.Quote:
