Jermain Taylor (26 fights with 25, 1 draw, & 17 ko's) vs Kassim Ouma (29 fights with 25 wins, 2 losses, 1 draw, & 15 ko's) Round 8: Ouma first on the exchange this time. Backs Taylor up again. Right hand from Ouma. Left hand from Taylor. Taylor seems to be a bit...gassed or something. Left hand & then a right from Ouma. Nice set of jabs from Taylor. Ouma still backing him up. Upper cut inside for Ouma on the ropes. Left hand & then a right from Taylor. Right from Ouma & then a left hook from Taylor. Nice echange & Taylor's back into the corner again. Body shots Byt Taylor. Left hook by Taylor & Ouma is still throwing. Clench. 1-2 from Taylor. Ouma felt that & how. Taylor still backing out. Clench. Right han& then a elft on the ropes.

Ouma is still walking him down. Ouma throws three in a row & Taylor's in the corner again. Big right & left hook from Taylor. Ouma eats them again. Taylor fires after the bell. They touch gloves & go the corner...

These are rounds aren't super close. Ouma is losing, but if Ouma can stop JT from holding and get his punch output up, JT WILL gas out.

I didn't think Ouma would last this long

how is the ref not warning him, he has to ask taylor to break a minimum of 3 times before he even lets go with 1 hand

OMG, what is Lennox talking about? This JT would get eaten alive by JoeCal IMO. JT is masking his stamina problems by holding and then backing up and landing some combos here and there. He won't be able to physically manhandle Joe that easily and Joe's workrate is exceptional. JT's boxing talent overshadows his stamina problems but when you fight the truly elite all of your weaknesses come out. It would be a great fight though.

well for me Ouma walks away from this fight with his head held high... funny to see the loser walking away like a winner... great heart 8)

Now...as far as what you said...Ouma is a tuff nut to crack...but it wasn't that Taylor didn't TKO him...it's the way that Taylor fights. He backs out with his hands down & he get's bullied across the ring from about the middle of the fight on.

I hate that. Pretty soon...I have a feeling that we'll be seeing another "Supposedly Undisputed Champ" of 160lbs soon.
