David Haye v Jean Marc-Mormeck RBR - World Crusierweight Titles

Round 1:

And they're off, with Haye immediately claiming the centre of teh ring. Pinging off a few jabs, but Mormeck keeping a high guard. Haye's jabs and straight right glance off the guard. Haye with a nice body shot. Mormeck looks to walk forward, but takes a body shot before being able to try and throw anthing. Haye jab and body shot. Mormeck throws his first landing punch after 90 seconds, a body shot. Mormeck with a short looping hook, that lands but with very little venom in it. Clinch, then Haye with two jabs, and a left right hook combo to the body. Mormeck misses and uppercut, but lands a jab, then two body shots of his own. Haye with a scoring shot to the body, then an uppercut of the gloves.

Haye clearly ahead early on.

EASY ROUND HAYE MORMECK TOOK 1:45 TO LAND HAHA

Round 2:

Hate opens up a jab. And another. Mormeck comes in, but not throwing. Throws a short left hook coming out of the clinch. Mormeck is walking forward, and this time lands a jab and a right to the body. Haye jabbing, then misses an uppercut. Mormeck with a good right, finds gloves with a left hook, but puts in another right to the body, and tanother good Mormeck flurry. Right hand and a left hook from Haye. Haye with a jab and a hard right as Mormeck covers up. Haye avoiding Mormeck's jabs well. Mormeck's shots are being deflected well. Good right hook from Haye. Mormeck lands some short hooks there, and a big right left that stunned Haye a little. Another Mormeck jab lands. Jab right from Haye.

Mormeck's edging that one.

Let's say I'm Rhun's assistant haha. Totally agree Rhun David's walking round with his hands down the dope.

Haye better get a move on, he's only got three more rounds before he's all gassed out.

Mormeck will be too but we saw last time out he can overcome that by running away until Haye falls over.

Round 3:

Haye jabs well, and avoids a Mormeck jab. Haye's jabs claim the first 30 seconds, just as Mormeck puts a right hook to the body. Those jabs are landing conmsistently from Hatye. Mormeck with a body shot, but Haye skips sideways. Mormeck falls shortt, and Haye fgives him a hard jab fro his trouble. Good right hand from Haye as mormeck lunges in a little. Haye with a nice left hook to the body. Haye moving well and Mormeck looking static. Mormeck is still misjudging the distance with his jabs. Haye with more body shots. Mormeck with a right hook to the body. Jab right hook combo from Haye, but Mormeck's guard is still good. crisp straight right from Haye on the bell.

Haye's round comfortably.

29-28 to the Brit

Yeh Haye's round he's landing some good body shots but still got to watch letting his hands down.

Good start from Haye. I'm beginning to regret my lack of patriotism in choosing Mormeck to win by KO in the prediction contest :-\

Round 4:

These guys getting a bit of an extra breather, as the ref is slow to bring them together after each round. Mormeck with a good body shot, then a jab. Jab straight right from Haye. Hard jab from Mormeck, then a right hook. Haye with a couple of jabs, then mormeck with a straight rgiht. Mormeck with a huge left and a right hook, and Haye is staggering back, takes more shots and is on his knees. Takes the 8 count. Haye with a few shots, and then a clinch. Mormeck has him back in the corner with more big hooks, and Haye is in deep doodoo here. ANother rigbht hook, and Haye buckles again. Haye with a good right hook though, and Haye is warned by the ref. Haye jabs and a hook, and seems to heave recovered. Good right from Mormeck, and another flurry of those short vicious hooks, Haye is in serious trouble.

Mormeck looks to have taken this one by the balls.

Round 5:

Haye jabbing wthen an uppercut and hard right hook. Haye going to the head with some good hooks. Haye with body shots, and Mormeck might be letting Haye gas himself out again. Haye with an uppercut. Mormeck finds the guard with a couple of body shots, but lands a hook upstairs. Big straight right from Mormeck, after a few Haye hooks, and for all Haye's reputation as a puncher, Mormeck is the one packing heat here, with another couple of hooks, and a hard straight right. Haye is keeping him off with some jabs, but has little else at the moment. Mormeck with a fine right to the body, then a good left hook as Haye is back on the ropes. Haye slips a Mormeck right and a body shot. Good jab and straight right from Haye, but this one's going Mormeck's way in my eyes.

48-46 Mormeck

Mormeck goes to the body, but ref warns him for a low blow. Jab and a straight right from Haye lands. Good jab from Mormeck, btu the right misses. Uppercut and a jab from Haye, and he's dodging better now. Haye jabs a couple of times, and a body shot. Nice jab and straight right from Haye, and an uppercut. Another haye jab, and ducks a few shots from Mormeck. Jab from Haye, and his confidence is seeping back. Mormeck misses a straight right, and gets a one-two from Haye. Mormeck misses another jab over Haye's shoulder. Good jab and right hook from Haye, and another couple of jabs. Jab from Mormeck.

Haye's round, he's back, hopefully.

Mormeck got up, but the ref waved it off. AMAZING!!!!! Huge uppercut., left hook and a loooping right.

They share a few words afterwards, and Mormeck smiles at Haye, so there's no quibbling about this one, Haye finished Mormeck and it was the right call. There'll be big pressure on Haye to stay in the cruisers now. That was an impressive finish from HAye, especially when he'd been rattled so badly in the fourth, and managed to stabilise himself. Haye's power came from nowhere in three terrific punches which won him the title. No test for his stamina here...but a big test of his heart, bravery and desire passed with flying colours.

Well done David...now I can get pissed and look forward to seeing Cotto Mosley later on.

I said Haye would be World Champion very soon back in 2006 and people thought i was silly :)

Haye was gone in the 4TH IMO did u see how his legs went :o but great comeback.
