I think what he was trying to say was without Oscar fighting him, That amount of the revenue would not of came in. Which is probably true.

PBF got THEE biggest pay day when he fought ODLH. I bet you could add up all the earnings PBF had pre-ODLH and they would all possibly match up to what he got when he fought ODLH. Who the hell is he trying fool? ???
Right you are.

Exactly. Floyd thinks he can talk his way into being boxings biggest draw. He of course can't...just like he cannot talk himself into being the all time greatest.

Plus he mentioned Zab along with Oscar and Hatton.
Although boringly pointless I'd like to point out Zab got $1m for the Floyd fight same as he got for Kostya.

Floyd is hyperbolic.
But there is an element of truth in what he said
What was Gatti's biggest payday and ONLY PPV?.... FMJ
What was Judah's biggest payday and biggest PPV?.... FMJ
What was baldo's biggest payday and only PPV?......FMJ
What was Oscar's biggest payday and biggest PPV?...FMJ
What is Ricky's biggest payday and FIRST US PPV?...FMJ
So, you have to say that this is all a big coincidence, or Mayweather has something to do with it.
Is that fair?

Just think how good Floyd would be if he slept at night. :)

Actually that is not entirely true. At least college aged people in studies of sleep rythems seem to function much better from late afternoon until it is late at night......I do not know about middle aged guys like PBF.

that was funny as h#ll...
at the end when hatton was talking in the car, did you all get the feeling that hatton is going to take Floyd's Fuc#ing Head off... that was the most real it gets in reality t.v..................... Floyd is as fake as all the other toy gangsters.... hatton would eat him alive in an ally/bar fight...
Floyd just pays a bunch of kiss a$$es to follow him around and laugh at his gay a$$ jokes.... he acts like a f#cking 14 yr old.... maybe because he lacks social skills from training in seclusion all these years but floyd acts (jokes, serious, in general) like a teenager... i think floyd hasnt been around people that he doesnt pay in so long his perception of reality is very skewd...

21 yrs... do you study medicine?? did you hear that or did you study that?? just curious
everyone's body is different... pro-goalies peak at 30... its according to natrual abilities... alot of pro basketball players, especially over 6-10 arnt completely coordinated until they are atleast 25 yrs..
as far as power i was in american football and weightlifting and you can train all you want most people's power peak in the olympics are 24 to 30... your bones, and tendons need years to broaden and mature...
the biggest advantage of being 21 is your body repairs better and faster but in different sports there is different times when your body would peak for that sport....
womans gym 15, womens tennis 17, nba 26, nfl qb 28, goalie 30
boxing 140 lbs.23-30yrs....175 lbs 26-31yrs... 200+lbs 28-33yrs...

Links are removed due to copyright laws....All programs are copyrighted....once the fight is over and the show is availible on DVD...more then likely they would not be so quick to make sure the links are removed......I know it sounds crazy but in all reality it can cost big money in the long run..

Fair point, I just reckon the more exposure the fight gets the better for everyone in the long run.

Your point makes sense and I agree with it....I look at it as free advertising and promo's especially if the episode has been aired...but like I said there is money involved and everyone gets paid for something.....so who ever is getting paid to do the promos is gonna be damned if the internet cost them a dime,,,,,you know the old expression mate...noting in life is free :-\

I believe that was Roger "Cracky" Mayweather ;)
Seems all the Mayweathers love to talk...but if it's not about boxing then there isn't much worth listening too. And Bill Gates gives away billions of dollars for good causes. I doubt Floyd would ever be so charitable. He has got to pay his entourage :-X

Re: The Official Mayweather-Hatton 24/7 Thread
I just came here to say that even though I'm a Hardcore Boxing fan. More than many, and for years going on now. I'm watching the Mayweather Hatton fight coming up.
I have to say...
... I'm not wasting my time with Mayweather/Hatton 24/7. That's about six full days total, including the de la Hoya/Mayweather... full days of watching Mayweather. That guys' arrogance and avoidance of many 147-ers. It's a total waste of my time.
I think it's poor of HBO to only showcase Mayweather's phonie attitude in this interesting set of series of getting to know a Boxer's personality towards a big fight night.
It almost should be called.
"A life in the day of Mayweather and Opponent." haha ;D I kid Mayweather and Co. ;)

I've heard many people have a problem with Ellerbe, and frankly, I just don't see it. He is BY FAR the most reasonable member of Team Mayweather (like being the tallest dwarf). He is seldom profane, and he is mostly quite measured. He supports his guy...but that's his job. Right?
These guys have problems. In much the same way that Mayweather needs constant positive acclaim for his boxing skills, Hatton seems to need the social acceptance of his peers. I don't think one is superior or inferior to the other. It's just ...different. Oscar blows off steam by dressing up as Tinkerbell. Er, I'll tolerate Floyd's cash fetish.
Donald Trump and Martha Stewart and Oprah need to put their name on everything. Bill Gates built a huge ridonkulous house. Meanwhile, Warren Buffet brownbags his lunch. People are just different.
I sometimes bristle at Hatton's characterization of PBF. Ricky has to understand that some people are different. RH's viewpoint is a form of intolerance.
Also, Ricky said that he has 33,000 fans and Floyd has 33. Ricky perhaps should reflect on why he is making his biggest payday for this fight.
Graham seems like a reasonable guy. He is bothered by the fact that (many) people consider Hatton as one-dimensional. In truth, that would be an indictment of his training abilities. So I understand why he rejects that criticism. But Chavez and Duran are pressure fighters who were ALSO fine boxers. Ricky has yet to display that breadth of skill. And it's doubtful that he will on 12/8.
Mayweather is a cardio machine. But he seems do do the same training techniques for every fight. I understand that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", but he is also nearing 31 and fighting a smaller man than his last two fights. It would seem that some adjustment would be appropriate.
Whew. Those are my observations from the first ep.
I'm late on this thread but have a huge CC on me..you summed it up perfectly. Ricky is a great guy but I find him sometimes just as intolerable as Floyd because some of his comments about Floyd border on ridiculous and is it just me or is he getting cockier and cockier as this fight draws nearer? This episode of 24/7 I think we actually saw more humbleness from Floyd than we did Ricky. To be honest 'intolerable' for me is a harsh word because I find both of them great characters. I enjoy both fighters segments from 24/7 this time around..I can appreciate them both. I guess most people just can't relate to Floyd.

I guess I'm struggling with the "avoidance of many 147ers" statement. There's a bit of revisioninst history here.
Floyd moved up to 147 twelve months ago. He took Sharmba (a speedy southpaw) to prepare for Judah (a speedy southpaw). At the time, Judah was the legitimate and linear undisputed WW champion, right?
Judah unexpectedly lost. Floyd offered the April 8th date to Hatton and Margarito. They both turned it down. So Floyd went ahead and fought a VERY ready Judah. A fight many picked him to lose. Soundly beat Judah.
Floyd then needed an opponent for his November HBO PPV date. He offered the fight to Mosley. Shane declined on national TV saying "er, my tooth...um, I'm going on vacation". So Floyd fought the guy who had just beat Judah and KO'd Gatti. The new linear WW champion for the real title.
Then the Oscar fight surfaced and Floyd had the opportunity to become a household name and make $30 million dollars. I realize that some people criticize this decision. But ask yourself what YOU would do: go fight Margarito or Clottey for $5-8 million...or Oscar for $30 million?
Please remember that Cotto has been a WW for a mere eleven months. And Floyd is now fighting Hatton...who many on this board are picking to beat him.
How is this unacceptable?

Who picked Floyd to lose?! Any serious and intelligent boxing fan knew Floyd was the heavy favorite in that fight and was going to win.
You also say that many on this board are picking Hatton to beat Mayweather. Are you on the right board?! Almost the entire majority of this board is picking Floyd to win. Not trying to get on your case...but you seem to have things mixed up.

Re: The Official Mayweather-Hatton 24/7 Thread
There weren't many people picking Floyd to lose to Judah.
There were plenty of people, including myself, who said it would be an interesting fight because Zab was the one guy on the planet who could come close to matching Floyd's speed. But most people viewed Floyd as a solid favorite because of his more technical boxing skills and his obvious edge in composure.
I know a lot of people bashed Floyd for still fighting Judah even after Judah lost to Baldomir, and I understand that way of thinking, but I didn't have a problem with him going thru with the fight.
Even though Baldomir beat Judah, I gave Judah a better chance of beating Floyd than I gave Baldomir.

Without going hunting too much, here is an example of someone who picked Judah (Doghouse):
Gabriel Montoya: What I wouldn't do for a crystal ball. When you look at this fight, everything points to Mayweather dominating. The general consensus is that Judah is the fastest fighter Floyd has faced with the most power. But if you look at the way both fighters punch (Mayweather straight and accurate, Judah wide seeping power shots) you have to agree that Mayweather's shots will most likely land quicker shooting straight down the pipe. Floyd has been dominant in every weight class he has entered BUT he has yet to face an elite or top-level fighter in his last two weight classes. This makes for a big question mark in my book. How will PBF handle true welterweight power? Will Judah be able to effectively take the fight to him early? Will Zab be able to maintain focus throughout? And most importantly: What will happen if Zab lands his best shot and nothing happens? PBF can use a Plan A, B, and C if he so chooses. It is hard to see Zab doing more than what he did against Spinks in the rematch. I don't think that will be enough. That all said, I still have this feeling that Zab Judah, his back to the wall like few fighters before him performs at a level we all thought possible for him this Saturday. Will outperforms skill this Saturday and Zab comes out on top in the upset of the year. It is win or go home for Zab and he acts accordingly. Zab by late TKO.
