If Godric was such a swell guy he would know that Eric is going to run wild.
Also, Sookie actually drank Bill's blood and lots of it. Much more of it than the few drops she got from Eric's wounds.
I don't get it.
Well Eric is a lot older, and more powerful than Bill, so she doesn't need as much of his blood.

This is wear we part ways a bit. I like Lafayette. After Sam he is my favorite person on the show. He seems less gay this season that's for sure. I think they just toned it down a bit now that they've established him as a homosexual.
I really dislike Eric. If anyone gives of a queer vibe it's him. Not why I hate him, but it doesn't help.

Yeah I'm warming to Lafeytte now too. This season has been awesome though, I've loved the last three episodes.
Apparently the series is based on 10 books so I'm hoping we get 10 series, that would be sweet!
It's easily my favourite program on telly right now, I just hope when it finishes that they hurry up and pu Dexter and Lost back on so I don't suffer withdrawals.
@ Diane, yeah Jay got in touch with me yesterday, I'll sort them for him when I come back from the V Festival after the weekend..

Well I don't know about Dexter, but LOST doesn't come back until January.
I'm still amazed at how much of a small world it can be, in that we both know Jason.

Dexter is right around the corner.. September 12th or somewhere around there.. the previews (the one 30 second trailer i saw) so far look incredible.

Re: True Blood Season Two **SPOILERS**
Bilbo,
You should d/l the episodes of Hung. They are only 30 minutes long, but it is a very good show. It airs on HBO the same night as TrueBlood.

Not even close.
Hung is okay, but I guess that I expected it to be better. The thing I like the most about the show, is the theme song. It's a song from a local two man band here (Akron), called The Black Keys. They've put out some great music.
I love Boogie Nights btw. ;D

Re: True Blood Season Two **SPOILERS**
I got the episodes made so far, and have watched the first four. I like it, funny, and kind of heartwarming too, I like shows that feature a regular guy trying to overcome the odds.
If anyone's interested the first episode of Dexter S4 has been leaked all over the net, even though it doesn't premier for until Sep 29th :)
Going to watch it after Hung

I'm going to watch it in bed now, go on be a devil, between now and the start of the season they may even change it a bit so worth watching twice.
Plus there's no way I could go a whole month without watching it if its on the net.
I just have to put it on to hear the music at the start, I think its the best soundtrack ever, just so seductively evil and chilling, fucking love Dexter to me the first two seasons were the most awesome show ever to be on tv.
Just finished all 7 episodes of Hung tonight, loved that too, you Yanks make so much better tv than we do. I can't watch any British drama's, they just suck so much.

I just watched it.. i liked it a lot.. lemme know what you think.
and hung is a real fun show.. nothing overly amazing or in depth, but a fun concept for some light comedy.. and i think it's funny that The Punisher is the main character as a "happiness consultant".

Re: True Blood Season Two **SPOILERS**
Yeah just finished it myself looks like its going to be a great series.
So damn annoying that it ends on a massive cliffhanger and we have to wait another month though!
That new serial killer looks to be the best yet, that scene at the beginning was just evil.
Can't wait for the next episode.

That was a super creepy scene at the beginning..
Answer my question below.
HMM.. I tried to use the Spoiler feature but it didn't work..
anyway, if you watch Dexter and didn't watch this episode then stop reading..
Did Dexter have the body in the back of the car at the end when he crashed??
-
Re: True Blood Season Two **SPOILERS**
To answer your question, I'm going to say probably no, I mean he's clearly not going to get caught at the beginning of this series so I'll say he's either already desposed of it or else he's able to to get rid of it before anyone sees.
Anyway back to True Blood, this weekends episode kind of annoyed me. It had some good plot revelations and some funny moments but the whole thing suddenly became really camp as if they were playing for laughs.
It reminded me of a Simpsons Halloween special with all the local townsfolk going nuts in a cheesy, silly way.
That annoyed me a lot as it was out of character with the rest of the show, previously when characters have come under the control of Maryanne the scenes have been really creepy and chilling, not a fun and frolic played for jokes parody like this episode did, it was as if another director filled in for this episode.
That aside there were some good moments and I'm looking forward to next week's episode where I hope all the campness has been replaced by some grusome, sickness instead.

Dexter obviously doesn't get caught this early, i was just curious if the body was in the car, i wasn't sure if i missed anything.. will be quite the predicament to get out of..
anyway, i liked this weeks episode.. some GREAT lines in it.. As far as maryann's influence over others, i don't know what yo'ure saying about it being different than before.. They would have orgies, not care if they got hurt, laugh when someone was being serious, etc.. It was all the same in this episode, except we experienced it in more in a one on one personal level, with eggs at one point, tara at another point, then Hoyts mom, as opposed to just seeing a group orgy.
i was just pissed it was only 45 minutes long!
-
Re: True Blood Season Two **SPOILERS**
I'm with you on being pissed for it only being 45 minutes. For fuks sake, there is only 12 episodes, the least they could do is give us a full hour.
I also liked this weeks episode. Not enough sex for you Bilbo? ;)
Jason was cracking me up this week, especially when he was playing the God.
Hoyt's mom playing Wii was funny stuff.
Okay, I wonder what Sookie did do to Maryann, and how will that play a role in Maryann's demise?
Is the Queen Lorena? I think so.
I loved how Sam came out in just an apron to put out the fires. He has a nice butt. :lickish:

The queen is Evan Rachel Wood.. i knew this when they announced she'd be on the show and i'm pumped cause she's super hot.. there is a pic of her if you look for it, as the queen, and she looks yummy.

I guess you have the same taste as Marilyn Manson, and Mickey Rourke. ;)

Re: True Blood Season Two **SPOILERS**
Have any of you guys watched Moonlight? I've had a friend tell me it's the best program on tv, about a vampire detective or something, it's a bit overwhelming how much vampire stuff there is out nowadays!
I'm going to download it in a bit but was wondering if anyone had seen it and thought it was any good?

Re: True Blood Season Two **SPOILERS**
I didn't read the books, but I looked up some of the rules of the "Southern Vampire Mystery" universe. It explains some details about Sookie and gives some insight as to why Vampires are so interested in her, and it's not just because she's a telepath and can't be glamoured. I think I have pretty good idea of why Sookie was able to repel Maryann. If you are interested, you can probably find the same stuff and see what I mean.
Too bad she's such a bitch because I don't think I could resist letting Lorraine feed on my. Too bad I don't think we'll be seeing her for a while.

I know what you mean, when I came across the wiki page and found out Sookie was from another planet although she thinks she's human it bummed me out a bit.
And knowing that Jason dies at the end of this series too

Ha, you're laughing now but you'll be cursing me in a couple weeks time ;D
Seriously, Jason dies when he runs off in anger after discovering Sookie is an alien and Maryanne's groupies kill and mutilate him.
It's ok though because by Series 3 Sookie has learned to make use of her alien healing powers and puts him back together again.
It's true I made it up myself

Re: True Blood Season Two **SPOILERS**
Well I thought last nights episode was good. I think they did a great job of building up the suspense for the big showdown for the season finale.
I know you like her RP33, but I thought Evan Rachel Wood's acting skills were a big turn off to her character. It's like she was trying too hard or something. I just didn't care about her character, who is obviously someone we should care about.
Sookie's cousin, huh? I wonder if she'll play a big role next season, because I can't see why they would have just teased us with that little bit of her.
Man, I knew it was going to happen, but I hate that Lafayette got turned.
And Tara's mother, what a dumb ass.
Bye Carl. :tombstone:
I can't believe that Bilbo went and had himself banned for a month, with the final two espisodes to go.

While i don't disagree with you that from a perspective of just knowing what the TV series tells us, that she didn't perform very well, i DID read that in the books the queen was somewhere around 15 yrs old or something like that and that she is absolutely crazy.. So, with that said, i really liked her performance.. she portrayed a careless, possibly psychotic, vampire.
I actually DID watch the previews this week believe it or not, and i saw that the queen wants Eric to take out Bill.. could be interesting..
props to ANYONE who remembered that little girl with the black-saucer eyes from the first season.. i would have never thought back to that and related it to maryann.
-
Re: True Blood Season Two **SPOILERS**
Rob I know you don't like previews, but this is just a video of a commercial HBO just started playing, it doesn't give anything away, it's just pretty hot.

Well of course they have to have a cliffhanger, they want us to tune in next season, and make us suffer at the same time. ;D
Hmmm bittersweet, well maybe someone dies. Maybe Eggs sacrifices himself to destroy Maryann?
