Im glad my boy JMM won, i'll have to check the fight out later. As i didn't watch it live too late for me.

I was hoping for a KO, but the fight was excellent, and Marquez won... so I'm happy.

I second that Mick, I also hope that JMM retires with the 140 pound belt. I want him to be the 1st Mexican to have 4 division championships.

In fairness to Juan Diaz he improved though and will continue to be a threat to anybody less than the level of legends like Marquez.

He def. deserves it.
I'm certain Erik and MAB also did/do but I just don't see those 2 being able to do it anymore.
In reality Erik would have been the 1st but it wasn't meant to be.

i agree that marquez didn't perform great last night. it's probably a combination of juan diaz fighting a more intelligent fight, marquez having to come down from welter or just age. maybe his age is starting to catch up with him. before the fight, i noticed he looked rather gaunt looking and pale. he didn't look very healthy to me. but on the other hand, you've got to give diaz alot of credit for fighting an intelligent fight but it's just that marquez was more intelligent and better last night.

Where should JMM go from here?

Fight Katsidis at lightweight or fight Khan at light welter? Both fights are mouth watering prospects tbh.

no blood and guts in this fight and everyone is in shock. I ask you. When has Diaz come from behind to win a fight? He just rolls over.

I think JMM should avoid khan like the plague. Very bad style matchup and JMM. He's a little guy and I think he'd have trouble getting inside khans range.
