Well, it went as expected. Not gonna lie, a few times I was worried today...and only because I was such an insistent asshole about the stuff that seems to elude the other side, ya know, math, logic, reason...facts.
But all in all, a good night. Calling it. Night folks.

Re: Romney vs. BO - Tuesday night Election chat thread
Would that have been the largest family ever to live in the Whitehouse, 5 sons and full family ffs!
I do wonder if they banned all politicians from the air for a month if they would actually do our work. Half of these dancing idiots who "win" actually think they have won the lottery or something

The deluded will follow a dream. Romney would create jobs because he was a businessman! Haha! ;D
Hurry the fuck up Obama I want to finish Lawrence of Arabia. Don't they know it is over 3 hours long?
Romney was better for the Republicans, but still a loose cannon considering the team behind the scenes. Abortion, gay marriage, foreign policy.....you can't let people like that into power.

Re: Romney vs. BO - Tuesday night Election chat thread
I cannot stomach anymore of this speech, Obama is the hollow man personified. Look at these people hanging on to each of these words and Obama waffling on about the best military on earth. Yeah right. Illegal wars, support of dictators, war crimes, a young whistleblower held without trial. It makes America great! Fuck you Obama. You waffle on about freedoms and kick out occupy, lock up more and more whistleblowers, spy on emails, have a sycophantic media and you talk about freedoms. Like that of innocent people in Bahrain or only in places where you believe the noose is okay to be loosened?
A load of nationalistic tosh.

haha I enjoy your rants miles.
Enjoying this speech though. Had to come back, couldn't sleep just yet. And while I'm here, may as well, right? one more...

Re: Romney vs. BO - Tuesday night Election chat thread
You have to have a good old rant really. It's so frustrating to know that nothing is going to change and it is unlikely to ever do so. The foreign policy issue is the one that most gets my goat because the abuses are just overwhelming and it is simply that because America does have such military might that it is able to exercise as it with with no short term ramifications. The home populace is largely indoctrinated. The media is appalling, I know it as I read it. The university education in America is largely lead by acedemics who are purposely ignorant. If they were otherwise then they wouldn't be employed. When you have a culture such as this, the subversives who will speak truth are largely weeded out and so what you have is a subtle and very clever form propaganda and indoctrination. The rest of the world sees it very differently because they have vastly different experiences and their sources are different. There are a lot of very clued in Americans, but half of the country are still red, ignorant sheep. The ones on Obamas side are little better really. All those people swaying glassy eyed in the streets with vacuous smiles. It just made me sink really.
And so no real change in the world, but at least gay people can hold hands. That is great and I am all for it, but the drones will continue to kill harmless people. Couldn't they just do that within their own borders, maybe just wipe out a few drug dealers, who are actually a danger in selling crack cocaine to prostitutes who whore their bodies to pay for it.

Re: Romney vs. BO - Tuesday night Election chat thread
A testament to your statement miles, can be found in the number of lawyers in american politics. The sought after quality is not the pursuit of truth as say a scientist, but the ability to frame a narrative. And so truth begins to matter less and less, and the art of manipulation rears it's head and becomes king on the grand political stage. I really don't know what it would take to change, but an honest man doesn't stand a chance in this game.

That's true, it's a corrupt game and lest we not forget Obama prattling on about the fine US University system. Sure, and pay 50,000 bucks and you might even get one of those pieces of paper that will open up very few real opportunities. To get a good grade though, you will have to watch your views and so of course you are weeded out otherwise. It happens in the UK too, I realised the game when I was a bit older. It is largely just a game, you follow the rules. Quite the con.
Well, enough of all this bollocks. Time for tea and a film. See you chaps tomorrow. Get some rest!

This isn't even photoshopped. This is the Kenyan, in Kenya, in a turban. Probably preparing for a suicide bombing mission or something. And Romney managed to lose to this guy! How is that possible?

Obama crushes, Fox News melts down, both rape candidates lose, Democrats gain in the senate, marijuana legalized in Colorado and Washington, gay marriage passes in Maryland, Maine and probably Washington while a ban fails in Minnesota

Re: Romney vs. BO - Tuesday night Election chat thread
No, the man went AWOL long before. Mars too. I imagine they were both probably rather disappointed with the result. Lots of funny images in this thread too.
Yeah, it's good that gay marriage is gaining credence. I fail to understand how one could be against that. The weed thing I couldn't care less about and think there are far bigger things to be concerned with.
Like I have said before, it is foreign policy that most bugs me about America and obviously Obama is in many ways worse than Bush was.
I recall after the last election being pleased about it being the end of Bush. I quickly learned my mistake and during the last term have really grown up politically. I have read a lot more and varied my source material and it has lead to huge political disenchantment and me becoming largely a political atheist. Obama talks of the public being the big difference, but it is largely delusional people adhering to a particular faith. If you actually look at the evidence it is a lot of smoke, mirrors and falsities. In terms of foreign policy it is just a lot of picking and choosing and there is NO consistency.
The sad thing is that Obama is smart and I think that is the biggest let down. He supports illegality and supposedly the man is versed in law. That is the distressing thing. He knows law, yet is beyond law and knows no bounds.
-
Re: Romney vs. BO - Tuesday night Election chat thread
So I'm supposed to be here 24/7? So Obama won and people are wanting to gloat, ok go ahead. We'll see if 8 years is enough to "fix what Bush did"....who oh who will they blame when that runs out of steam?
-
Re: Romney vs. BO - Tuesday night Election chat thread
Yay, you are alive. Jolly good to see.
Personally, I am not gloating. Obama will achieve little in his term. However, I struggle to imagine Romney doing anything either. His plans were just a jumble to make people foolish people believe he had something. It made no sense.
-
Re: Romney vs. BO - Tuesday night Election chat thread
What bugs me is the lack of reason and critical thinking in the media. Just take the following article and dismantle it. This is what we have on the front page of Yahoo. This is the kind of news that most news readers will digest. When you read thousands of stories like this, you are indoctrinated to think that it is the right of America to do something to a sovereign state like Iran. It is just so blatant and obvious. This is the kind of nonsense that is being spoonfed now. Does anyone not recall what happened to Iraq and how the ball started rolling? Lessons have not been learned and I predict this will be the next stage in a long planned attack on Iran. Security for Israel is the goal and the imperial grand strategy must be maintained. Obama is just the voicepiece. I hope I'm wrong, but we will have America continuing to have a massive disparity of wealth distribution and long term unemployment and thus Obama needing to distract attention from all of that with a good fashioned conquest of the bad guy. It has all been set up. I hope I'm wrong, but the warning signs have been there a while. The fact that stories like this are being wheeled out so soon is not a good sign. The agenda setting has started.

How are the markets responding to the idea of 4 more years of Obama? From the looks of things, not....too.....good.

It shows whether or not the job creators have any faith in a 2nd term of Obama....I guess that doesn't matter because the people who voted for Barry aren't working anyway. They only care that they don't have to riot which would be the most work they've done in years.

Lyle, you are absurd. Wall Street does not keep jobs at home nor expand home based industries. The markets mean nothing, they invested in Romney. That is all.
Your entire election gambit was based on comedy and unfortunately, you are now a laughing stock.

Ok miles, whatever you say. I mean you're a stable rational person when it comes to American politics right? No bitterness or hostility from you at all...I mean it's not as if something as simple as a video game could rile you up into some hate filled rage right?

Well, a game based upon the truth somewhat. Well, yes.
Genocide is genocide! You fuckers killed many of the different cultured and skinned ones. That is a documented fact. So on the basis of history I must be so unstable.
And thus we must say that miles is not stable. I am honest. I tell the truth on how I interpret history. It is also a fact that America was created on genocide. You don't need to interpret that.
Do you have a point, Lyle? I don't see one.

You poor little bleeding heart, if it makes you feel any better we also kill off millions of zombies in video games too or is that genocide as well?

Re: Romney vs. BO - Tuesday night Election chat thread
Lyle just told me to eat a dick in another thread. Clearly not a happy camper.
I actually agree with him on the awfulness of Obama, but US politics is doomed and that is where we differ. I think a tipping point is where we are at. I will be happy just to reach a moderate age before the horror is done.

Re: Romney vs. BO - Tuesday night Election chat thread
I get tired of you attempting to tell me about the past of my country. "Your country is built on genocide"....too right and YOUR country is built on gum drops and unicorn smiles and happy rainbows or don't you have a country? England was built on what? and if you don't claim England then South Korea......please miles, please tell me about how the evil Americans DIDN'T carve out your homeland from the grasp of the Communists....yeah South Korea could have handled the millions of invading Chinese easily right miles?

Why don't you whine about the Nazis we killed while you're bitching about video games. I mean if it weren't for America you could have finally been rid of the Jews and had no Israel and everything would have been awesome for you right miles?

Can you give me your thoughts on the other elections last night, the house or w/e? I didn't really pay attention to it too closely so not sure how things went, or what it means. Only one I was clued to was Bachmann, because of all the interest in her and the crazy eyes and xenophobia. I know she won.

Oh my God!
Lyle, this is madness.
Britain and America invented Israel. Do you not know this? And no Israel should never have been invented. But now it is there, I don't see destroying Iran as a solution.
You talk about Nazi's, but today you are the Nazi's and that is how we all view you. Nobody likes you. We hate your accents, we hate you dictatorship, we hate your torture, we want you out, we think you are freaks with big shiney teeth. We know you brutatilise your own people, we know that you are done for.
All you have is force and threat, and none of that commands respect. We hate you, in time it will return and get you.

No, I'd just move on like a reasonable person, Mars may have gloated a little, but whatever I'm not in control of other posters. But hey, I hope Kirkland gets 100% of what he wants and miles gets 100% of what he wants because their guy....oh I'm sorry that might come across as racist their candidate.....meh...the human they supported in this election.....still kind of racist, but I'll continue. The person they supported won and what happens??? Kirkland gloats like he's some great lover of Obama (whom he said on multiple occasions will be no different than Romney in terms of where he will take America) and miles whines about America being built on genocide....so what's changed exactly? It's like we never had an election at all but Kirkland and miles are on their periods and want me to suffer their jabs and I won't because unlike them I'm an American citizen and their views of my country mean fuck all.....and you're Canadian so we act like we care but whatever you give us another Nickleback or Justin Beiber and we'll nuke the shit out of you.

I didn't start referring to computer games here. Lyle did and that as because there was a serious situation and he was absurd. When I talk computer games it is seldom during election time. Only now did it happen and that was because it was all that he could refer to.
Lyle lost and big time. Computer games was how he lost to me. He lost to others too. He didn't accept defeat. He should say sorry and end graciously.

Re: Romney vs. BO - Saddo's kids race mongering thread
the butthurt is strong in this one. lol
So what you are saying is the house remains the same then? I'm really not trolling now, I don't know. I am hoping the clog in the machine which keeps seeing election first, people second of that last 4 years starts to move a bit. As in, much as we all know NJ and the storm and Christie was in part show...it still was bipartisan and good for the situation.
Once the butthurt settles down across the land, and no one feels like nuking anything any more or starting any more angry wars. who knows, maybe these guys can pretend to get along for a bit, get some shit done.
