It's not easy having this god damn name.
I have literally been hung up on by companies I've phoned that asked my name.

And well played Murray. He was fantastic today.
I would like some respect for starting threads year in year out saying that Murray would be champ. People laughed at me, they denounced him being Scottish, and I always stayed loyal and right now he is Wimbledon champion. miles was never really wrong, the timing was just slightly off. Personally, I hate nationality. I am happy that Murray won and being Scottish is a silly distraction. He won and now I am telling you that Murray will be in a duel with Djokovic for the number one slot. Nadal will sometimes come up but him and Federer are pretty shot at this point in time.
Absolutely, that is how it will unfold now. Murray has it on grass, but now the mental edge is turning Djokovic could be the one in trouble in the future. Murray has confidence and these top guys are seeing him with less and less fear and subsequent mental self degradement. He knows he belongs now.
Straight sets victory over Djokovic is just unheard of. In the past in that situation Murray would have been broken there at the end, Djokovic would have won the set, then who knows from there. But now Murray knows he can do it, and just as importantly Djokovic knew that Murray would not crumble. I agree that this could represent a shift in power when it comes to those crucial points in matches.
Murray's talent deserves multiple Grand Slams and I believe he will now get them.
* Note *
Alex Salmond waving his Saltire at the end = Opportunistic cunt.
And Miles you called it right about Djokovic feeling the effects of his semi. I really didn't tink he would, but he did.
will never like the guy but I admit he deserved it. He couldve smiled a bit more when he won mind.....
he just wanted it more than Djokovic - surprisingly losing his cool on more than one occasion.
that had to be one of the hardest straight set victories I have ever seen
Ha, you're very welcome to call them all English! :)
Come on, you can't try to claim him after all the stick you guys gave him.
Quite literally, Britain's hero when he wins, Scotland's prick when he loses.
It still pisses me off that you claim Burns and Cleverly as British :p lol.
Joe galzaghe great British fighter.
Sam Warburton, Alan Wyn Jones, Adam Jones, Justin Tipuric, Ian Evans, Toby Faletau, Dan Lydiate, Mike Phillips, Jonathan Davies, Jamie Roberts, Alex Cuthbert, George North, Leigh halfpenny ....... British Lions (now that they've won)
'Too many Welsh' on Friday
tee hee
Nationality is boring. You like the person or you don't.
I love Joe Calzaghe, Andy Murray, James Toney, and Ryanman.
What do they all have in common? They are lovely people and have my support.
Agreed I do not care what nationality they are as long as Tim Henman never won it I was happy. :)
Ironic really. 4 English blokes propping up this thread from start to finish getting behind players for all manner of reasons other than nationality (I was pulling, quite literally for a German for fucks sake). Then the jocks and taffs wade in at the death to have a moan.
;D
Not quite sure how that's relevant but I'd take Sloan Stephens or Sabine Lisicki any day over the Williams sisters.;D
I shall say it again I REALLY LOVE KATHERINE JENKINS, I do I do :yay2: ;D
Lisicki is lovely. When she started crying in the final I just wanted to hold her, stroke her hair and tell her everything was going to be ok.
Interesting tennis related stat about her. The last 4 times she's entered Wimbledon she's knocked out the reigning French Open champion.
So I have invented a new game - Quiet tennis
It's pretty much the same as normal tennis, but without the racquet.
Agreed , though the type of people you like differ to mine Miles as you are a bona fide Grade A cunt.
Wil never forget how in 1985 the whole nation took to Boris Becker - I mean he was german ffs ! But it was everything he brought with him too. If Andy Murray was German how would the fans take to him ??
What about Serena "I got booty" Williams? I guess Wimbledon is not her turf.
;D
Boris was fine.
I wanted Lendle to win Wimbledon.
The German football captain in Escape to Victory was a dead ringer for Lendl. The Allies had a player who looked exactly like Pele.
Werner Roth playing the great Baumann ;)
And I use to love Steffi Graff's legs.
