Fuck me, how awesome was Figueroa-Arakawa?

Was there ever a second when they weren't throwing punches? And they did it all with that Gatti-Ward type of respect, where it almost doesn't matter who won, they know and everyone knows they beat the shit out of each other. Pure class.

I liked it too, you just don't expect to see that much commitment anymore. I must have said, "wow" about a hundred times. Figueroa was great and impressed me but Arakawa was unbelievable. I hope Arakawa gets out of boxing before his brain gets scrambled, he takes too many hard shots.

It was a super night and who says you have to to dangle an alphabet soup title in front of these fighters? It was just great boxing.

Great card. Finally caught up and watched the recording. Arakawa grinning from ear to ear after that tear up and then coming back at Figeora for the last couple rounds easily made it fight of the night but Thurman-Chavez was hardly cautious, great finishing by someone who earlier had looked worried that his opponent hadn't folded and was giving him more than he had bargained for. Berto has to be done now, Soto Karass is a big hearted decent fighter but however you dress it up he is just not quite top level and he he did a job on Andre. Very Entertaining night.

I have to say as entertaining as it was, Andre fought one of the stupidest gameplans I've seen. Standing in the pocket with no head movement was pretty much asking for trouble against a warrior like Soto-Karrass.

Great card, Golden Boy are really kicking the crap out of Top Rank right now.

Have you seen Berto before?;D He never has a game plan, I think its just a case of him physically getting worn out now. He's taken a crapload of damage over the last couple years and has been injured a lot to boot.
