Re: The Thread To End All Thread's About Floyd Mayweather
So it's settled.
Tito never fought 3 HOFers and he's a scratch above being a one dimensional fighter.
@Master - Carr who? Vargas PED user. Reid was more committed to being a pirate than a fighter.
Oh! ...and Floyd Mayweather Jr. TBE ATG P4P#1 PPV#1&2!

Thank you for responding, even if it is all garbage.
Vargas is HOF.
The PPV numbers will be beat. ;)

That in itself is a moronic statement. First of all, Trindad fought much more than 3 HOF'ers. He defeated 3 who are already in the HOF (Camacho, Whitaker, De La Hoya). So based on your moronic statement, nothing else you say matters worth a damn. Next...
@
Master - Carr who? Vargas PED user. Reid was more committed to being a pirate than a fighter.
Carr who? LMAO! I've never been one to say that Floyd cherry picked opponents, but if we're going to go that route, I'm sure I can pick apart most of Floyd's opponents. What a moron you are... LOL. Vargas PED user? And Trinidad STILL kicked his ass? Thanks for making my argument even stronger. Reid? Is your comment another "sensitive" comment about Reid's lazy eye condition? Just like your deriding Tyson on his 4-year old daughter? You're not only a moron... you're an insensitive moron. BTW... Reid was another in the long line of previously undefeated fighters Trinidad faced.
Oh! ...and Floyd Mayweather Jr. TBE ATG P4P#1 PPV#1&2!
You graduated from Floyd nuthugging to downright deepthroating a long time ago, my infantile little friend.
Ok..... NOW it's settled.
One thing I've concluded, though. As with Batman, when Trinidad took Oscar's "0".........
he must've psychologically reamed your own "0".
How else to explain the hate.....

Who did Vargas beat before fighting Trinidad?
How about Raul Marquez, Winky Wright, Ike Quartey, Campas.
Oh..... but those aren't worth shit either, right kid?
Who did Vargas beat after fighting Trinidad?
Answer: Nobody of note. Probably 'cause he got ruined by Trinidad.
Following me so far?
Following.......... me.............. so.............. far?
Who did Campas beat before fighting Trinidad?
Probably nobody you ever heard of.
He was "only" 56-0 at the time..... but he was probably just a bum anyway, right?
He did knockout Raul Marquez a couple of years later and went on to have a pretty decent career, but who cares, right?
He's still a bum.
Carr?
Another bum.
He was "only" 32-0 when he fought Trinidad, but who cares?
Everybody knew he was no good.

We can play these games all night, except you're probably in bed by now, I guess.
Tomorrow after recess, you can respond with some nifty comebacker and we'll all laugh at your wit.
On the other hand, if you've got nothing constructive or factual to say, then just STFU.
In other words, you can't name any HOFers Trinidad beat.
Thanks for finally admitting that.
Two pages ago, I mentioned he beat Camacho and De La Hoya.
Admittedly, I didn't write it in
crayon, so I doubt you could've read it.
I specifically said DON'T say Oscar. He didn't beat Oscar.
Looks like you can't even follow simple instructions.
What PRIME HOFers did Trinidad beat? That leaves out Camacho and Whitaker.

That is true, they were past it. Whitaker was WELL past it and in a real bad way with the cocaine use.
Tito was what he was: a GREAT puncher and a good boxer who brought a lot of excitement to the masses and was in some massive fights.
He came up against some really slick guys - DLH, Winky, B-Hop - and he didn't have the ring IQ to crack those puzzles. But I don't think there is any shame in losing to those guys.

I agree.
Titofan -- don't bury your head in the sand just because your hero has been proven to be a little less than you believed. He lost to truly great fighters. No shame in that.

These are "yes" or "no" questions:
Are De La Hoya, Camacho, and Whitaker in the Boxing HOF?
Answer: Yes
Did Felix Trinidad beat each one of them?
Answer: Yes
Given "a" and "b"... is it true that Trinidad beat Boxing HOF'ers?
Answer: Yes
Tomorrow we'll review basic arithmetic and social studies.

I'll own up to that one. The lone exception in the career of Trinidad and DLH. Otherwise, the pattern is clear and established. So Whitaker was shot when both DLH and Trinidad fought him. It happens. He got into the ring, so obviously he thought he was competitive. There's roughly half dozen other cases where it was the other way around (Trinidad finishes them off..... DLH gets the scraps).

By the time of his first world championship he won all his 14 bouts by knockout. He won his first world title in 1998, knocking out Yori Boy Campas in seven rounds for the IBF light middleweight championship. Vargas successfully defended the title throughout 1999, with victories over Howard Clarke (TKO 4), Raúl Márquez (TKO 11), Winky Wright (MD 12), and Ike Quartey (UD 12).
Vargas lost the title to Félix Trinidad in 2000. Vargas was knocked down twice in the first round, he was able to fight his way back by knocking down Trinidad in the fourth round until finally being knocked out in the 12th and final round.

I liked Vargas very much. He was very exciting!
He said Tito's punches felt like rocks hitting him(hand wraps anyone?).
But then he got busted for PEDs and he lost a bit of lustre for me.
I'm of the opinion that it's not often that the time you get caught cheating is likely to be the first time you cheated... So I don't really know what to make of Vargas and Trinidad for this reason.

That is the real Rocco I know! Vargas was a brilliant fighter, I think he got caught against Oscar. Vargas did have alcohol and drug issues which shortened his career but I think it was recreational drug use, like Tyson, not PED. Except for the Oscar fight.

Vargas would beat Canelo.
There I said it.

This is why you know nothing about boxing.
Vargas that won the title at his peak which was for a short amount of time beats Floyd and he would not dare take on the man like he did Canelo.

VARGAS IS NOT MAYWEATHER CLASS
Class is one thing, weight is another. If they fought at light middle, Vargas wins.
Lopez had more class than Tyson but no way would he beat him. :)

Of course I believe it, I have the documented proof.
One simply needs to look at the unofficial weights to realize how much weight Floyd gives up each fight.
Canelo had about 25lbs or more on him when they fought, and Floyd spanked him like a red headed Mexican stepchild. And that's REAL talk.

The fight was closer than you think and if an old Oscar nearly beat Floyd at light middle what do you think a peak Vargas would do? Also a peak Oscar, that beat Vargas would smash pretty boys features as well.
