Why does Hearn suddenly become gospel?

He was desperate for a money making fight for Brook. This wasnt just getting a journeyman to step in. He was me tioning about Brook fighting Golovkin months ago. Hearn throws the dice with his fighters and sometimes it pays off like when Froch fought Pascal. Most people thought Pascal could be the best in the division and would best Froch who was coming off the Ward loss. The difference here is this will be a repeat of Canelo v Khan, in fact I doubt Brook has the success that Khan breifly did.

The reasoning is, oh well he still has his title to go back down to. Giving Eubank the fight doesnt earn Hearn the same amount as giving Brook the fight.

Hearn is talking crap when he says Brooks is the best welterweight.

Also, Hearn pointing out he wasnt allowed to talk to Jr and had to speak to Sr. Well for all those idiots who are jumping on that, that is standard practice to talk to the fighters promoter/manager is it not?

If Golovkins team were negotiating a fight with BJS they wouldnt talk to BJS theyd talk to Warren. I bet they never spoke to Brook either:rolleyes:

A welterweight that had the balls to take the exact same terms the Eubank's refused.

I said on the first page of this thread the Eubank's are all mouth and no trousers. They never intended to face Golovkin.

A fighter who Hearn would benefit more financially to face Golovkin and who Hearn doesnt mind throwing his fighters to the wolves.

Hearn was the block from this fight happening.

How dopey does he think his followers are that they would swallow "I had to talk to Jr's manager" and they would think there was anything unusual with that?;D

Easy tiger, I never said it was "Shocking" it was one of many points that came from the interview. However, put yourself in Jr. Shoes. Forget about them being Father and Son for a minute, if he was waiting to sign for the fight of his life , do you think he would not be a bit fucked off with his "Manager" for not getting it over the line? Do you think he would not be frustrated enough to consider sacking him?

We dont know the politics behind the scenes and most of the time its not solely one parties fault but I dont see what reasons Hearn has to lie about what happened here?

When I heard the GGG Eubank fight was on the cards I was pretty shocked and was fairly certain it was just Eubank trying to get his name in with GGG. He had already turned down world title shots to stay at british level (which is fine for a young prospect to do) so why would he suddenly go for a much harder shot. If he beat Saunders (or Jacobs) hed be in a lot better position to negotiate with GGG so surely those routes would make more sense?

Money.

Hearn makes more with this fight, they can trick the audience saying nobody else would fight GGG so Brook stepped up. Excuses GGG. Then they will say Kell had outgrown WW to build the fight. Meanwhile Eubanks go off about no contract, sets up the 2nd fight for Hearn and GGG will be bigger in the UK making more money than it would make now. Hearn more than doubles his take, he probably gets 4 times as much.

And after the Kell demolition they just say 160 was to big and move back down. All the way back to 147 because the guys at 154 are huge. Many well over 6' with long reaches.

So now its going to be Brooks vs this guy o well i am sure the next fight will be something. I must say the MW Division is as barren as it has ever been which is funny because think the weight class would have more talent then it does. Brooks vs GGG is not very interesting but o well should be fun while it lasts which should be at least a few rounds i hope this is a build up to a greater fight which i am sure it is but just going to have to wait longer for it will make it better when it finally happens.
