Here we go. Khan was ahead against Canelo, Khan was ahead against Garcia, but guess what? He got fucking sparkoed! And guess again? He was always going to get sparkoed!
That's the thing , everybody knew Khan would get KO'd in some fashion.
I'm not saying Brook wins, but there will be less weight difference on the night, and Brook hasn't got a rep as having a glass jaw.
It's not a fight I believe should've happened, but it intrigues me more than Canelo/Khan. That was destined to be a 6 round KO.
I think Khan could have fought smarter and not got KOd (in saying that he probably wouldnt have won on points if he fought that way). There is absolutely silch Brook can do or could ever do to win this fight. Either he gets sparked or loses every round. GGG is also half the price Canelo was against Khan.

How could Khan have fought smarter and avoided getting KO'd? He couldn't dance for 12 rounds because he basically wasn't that fit.
He was fleshy round the midriff meaning the weight he put on to try to match Canelo's strength wasn't muscle (impossible to put on that much muscle in such a short space of time btw.) this means he wasn't as mobile as he needed to be. It's common knowledge that he only goes in a gym when he starts camp, and that's nowhere near enough for the step up he was taking. It is also common Knowledge that in the sparring leading to the fight, Liam Smith was bullying Khan around quite a bit.
All this whirling dervish fast hand bollocks is a joke really.
Tell me one good (and I mean good, please don't say Devon Alexander) fighter that he has fought and not tasted their punches? Hence it was unrealistic to think that Canelo wouldn't catch up with him.
And thinking about it, I reckon I would quite like to see Brook v Canelo, I reckon Brook would stand a pretty good chance, much better than Khan did.
Re: GGG v Kell Brook 10th September - confirmed
I agree that Brook would have a better chance against Canelo than Khan did.
Khan wasnt caught against Collazo.

Kell has a few advantages in his favour. He is the quicker man with his hands. He has quicker feet. He has home advantage and he is abit younger.
It would be nice to see how he would perform at 160 vs a fringe top 10 guy like a Curtis Stevens to see how he adjusts to the weight but he’s going straight in with a monster so if he loses it will be difficulty to tell if weight was to blame or if he was just out his league. I expect it will be a mix of the two.
I reckon Eubank may have done better/survived longer but only because he is natural middleweight. Kell is the better fighter P4P but When I think back to his jelly legs vs sentence/gassing vs Jones and mauling with Porter it’s a big ask to jump up two weights and perform well vs Golovkin. Plus he is injury prone too so everything would have to fall in place like it didn’t for Calzaghe who had a similarly disappointing couple of years before the hype machine that was Jeff Lacy came across the Atlantic to challenge him. That made Joe and if Brook won this he’d be the hottest commodity in boxing.

I meant to say the jelly legs vs senchenko ( not sentence, damn you auto correct)
That's the only time I've seen brook wobbled and he came back to stop senchenko shortly after. If You've not seen it it's worth a watch just to see how kell reacts to getting hit.

Yep that light puncher sparked Ortiz in his previous fight and had Thurman in big trouble in his fight since

Ortiz? Fucking Ortiz? Was that before or after his acting and strictly come dancing USA career? Come on , for fucks sake!
Re: GGG v Kell Brook 10th September - confirmed
I forgot, only absolute elite fights can be considered a threat. That is of course until they lose. Once they lose they were clearly shot. Gotta love boxing!
Re: GGG v Kell Brook 10th September - confirmed
Wow that sold out fast :o
