I think most of us are expecting something like this to happen so it wouldn't have surprised me much.

Oh yeah. I'll know the fight's on when the referee is done giving the instructions. Otherwise, it's pretty much even odds on Wlad pulling or twisting something.

If he does it'll have to be the end for him.

What if Anthony Joshua is the one injured eh? The hate for Wlad is too much...." it's pretty much even odds on Wlad pulling or twisting something"....because he always does that??? Last fight he missed was because a Gypsy had a mental breakdown and went on a Scarface-esque coke binge.....but YEAH Wlad is totes like always injured. Just a minimum of respect please.....he ain't David "All talkin' No walkin'" Haye

You're absolutely right, Lyle.
Decades of Wlad chloroforming us boxing fans has eroded my objectivity regarding the guy. ;D
Of course it's possible that either fighter could pull out with an injury/ illness.
And for the record.... NO... he ain't David Haye. I wouldn't stoop that low. ;D

All I ask for is just the slightest bit of respect....but no, carry on, you hate the guy we all know you do, you complain about him whenever he fights whoever he fights.
If Wlad wins you won't say "gee that was impressive" you'll be on suicide watch because you hate the guy that much.....OK WE GET IT, you're not a fan....point made.

You were right before.... you're wrong now.
If Wlad goes out... engages Joshua (without fouling or other scared tactics)... and knocks him out, in an action-filled fight that brings boxing fans flocking back to the heavyweight division..........
.... I'll give him his due props, and he can ride off into the sunset, 'cause I'm pretty sure he's not waste an opportunity to end his career on a high note.

I'm not gonna give wlad any respect
he has single handedly (with a bit of help from his brother) killed any real top quality enjoyment and entertainment in the HW division for the last 10 years
even if his reign was legitimate (ha ha aha haa ha funny) it was fuckin shit boring

"even if his reign was legitimate (ha ha aha haa ha funny)"

Re: Anthony Joshua v Wladimir Klitschko - 29/4/17 Wembley Stadium
all I would say on the post by eric, I don't think it's fair to bring his brother into it, as he was quite a different type of fighter in my book.

Re: Anthony Joshua v Wladimir Klitschko - 29/4/17 Wembley Stadium
The April fool's thing was about Wlad. But yeah either guy could pull out. Recent trends of fights falling through seem to be the norm.

better champions? = maybe maybe not
more entertaining? = no argument
and I know each to his own and all that but how anyone could have been entertained by Wlads fights is beyond me

yeah I know Vitali was different, the only reason why I bring him into it is because they could choose their challengers between them
it wasn't like Wlad took all comers, he took on the challengers his brother didn't have/didn't want/didn't suit/visa versa

One of my oldest mates put this up on his facebook page a few days ago
He's got the 2 best ringside tickets money can buy (£22,000) for both, full hospitality, free booze and food all day/night = THE BOLLOCKS.
He's asked all his friends to put their names on the post by a comment and is then writing them all down on paper, sticking them in a bucket and drawing one out live on facebook live next week.
Winner goes with him to the fight

Wlad was interviewed today by sky and he looks in terrific shape. Johnathan Banks is training him.

Re: Anthony Joshua v Wladimir Klitschko - 29/4/17 Wembley Stadium
If AJ wins then he is the real deal and will dominate the division.
If Wlad wins then he will be on the ATG heavyweight list.

He breaks into my legendary Top 10 list which is very difficult.

Ah yes Master's LEGEN-wait for it-DARY Top 10 list ;D
it's cool Master, I just wondered because he had 10 years of being THE man in the division under his belt before this fight and AJ though a very exciting fighter is still young and inexperienced as a pro. Now of course this fight could go either way but I don't see ATG status on the line for Wladimir based on this 1 fight, I think he's either already achieved that or simply will never achieve that if you listen to/buy into the erics44's account of things.

It enhances Wlads legacy to come back from a loss at such an advanced stage of his career against a young hungry undefeated champion.

If it'll make everyone feel better, he won't be an ATG in my book even if he does manage to beat AJ. ;D

Re: Anthony Joshua v Wladimir Klitschko - 29/4/17 Wembley Stadium
A win over Joshua will enhance Klitschko's legacy although it has already been well established.
To those picking AJ to win; do you give any credence to the rumors about AJ being knocked out/ down in sparring? Does it make you question his ability to takes Wlad's power?

AJ was apparently decapitated in sparring by David Price, I heard they had to stitch his head back on afterwards.
On that basis, No what goes on in sparring stays in sparring and doesn't mean much at all.

Re: Anthony Joshua v Wladimir Klitschko - 29/4/17 Wembley Stadium
AJ is too aggressive from wladimir
-
Re: Anthony Joshua v Wladimir Klitschko - 29/4/17 Wembley Stadium
I can't believe Wlad hasn't faked a injury to pull out of the fight. Do we know what kind of chin Joshua has?

There has been many rumors about his chin. Price knocked him out in sparring. Okolie apparently knocked him down. Dubois supposedly rocked him. White dropped him in the Ams and wobbled him in their pro fight. Nistor stopped him standing in the Ams. I don't really put much stock in it but it makes me think it's not granite.

Re: Anthony Joshua v Wladimir Klitschko - 29/4/17 Wembley Stadium
I've watched film of Joshua. I don't like what I see. He seems to reach with his punches. That could be a mistake vs Wlad. Razor Ruddock reach against Lennox Lewis. Lennox made him pay for that. No doubt Joshua has the power but does he have the chin? Why would Wlad even make this fight? He must know something we don't.

he has sparred him before, a few years ago, i forget who wladimir was going to fight that time, maybe it was wach. I have read internet rumours that it was very close sparring to wladimir had control over joshua, so who knows :S So maybe he knows something we dont or maybe he just wants to get paid a lot .

Re: Anthony Joshua v Wladimir Klitschko - 29/4/17 Wembley Stadium
I'm inclined to go with the latter although I'm not sure that would be Wlads style.

Fury is still the man to beat.
Fury is massive but can dance a lot better than Joshua in the ring..better boxer and not robotic.

That could be true, But Fury is his own worse enemy. Wouldn't it be nice if Wlad loss to two Brits in a row.
