Oh and Fuck you David Haye, didn't give him a chance before the fight.
David Haye is a cunt...that is all
I thought he was starting to fall behind, pulled it out at the perfect moment. Back in the mix once again.
Both knockdowns here: https://twitter.com/boxingcorner247/...16475581554688
Maybe Chisora will now receive a title shot against Joshua.
Chisora earned a rematch against Whyte.
Haven’t been watching this because I’m away. But Chisora actually beat a live body!!!
That’ll give him at least 3 more losing paydays!
Parker has already done more than he did in 12 rounds against AJ
That was a close round just give it to Parker who was marginally quicker with his punches.
That was not a true knock down just a clash of heads in the 2nd round.
Whyte round
Intriguing round 3. Whyte caused Parker more stress with his attacks.
2-1 Whyte.
Didn't see that coming. Didn't see it at all but bit of a surprise.
Parker is visibly hurt by these punches by Whyte
3-1 Whyte
Whyte is fighting dirty, good tactics, Parker isn't enjoying it.
Think Parker did better in the 5th landed more.
3-2
Parker looks tired arms are down.
Whyte bigger and stronger.
4-2 Whyte
Whyte getting stronger and Parker not enjoying it.
5-2
Whyte landed some hard punches now, Parker falling behind and will get desperate.
6-2
Whyte lands a big brutal left hook and knocks down Parker who did well to get up in the 9th.
Slow 10th round from both, may give it to Parker.
7-3
Whyte looks shattered in there give 11th to Parker.
7-4
What an incredible last round. Both shattered and Parker drops Whyte who holds on to win.
7-5 Whyte with 2 knock-downs to Parker's 1.
113-112
115-110
114-111
To Whyte!!!
Crazy ending... whyte was done. Parker too exhausted to do anything about it though. Very smart holding on by whyte, he's great at roughing people up too, i think he'll give joshua a better fight than last time.
Ian John-Lewis was the difference.
He let Whyte get away with lots of dirty tactics, including the nasty headbutt that turned the fight around. And he called the false knockdown.
I knew Parker would be fighting two men in the ring when I first heard John-Lewis would be working the fight. He's the worst ref in the business, except perhaps for Lawrence Cole.
@Alpha I told you Parker is not a top level fighter, he just had a title and matched well.
Chisora was at the ringside trying to goad Whyte to fight him.
Was Miller calling this on Sky? No crashing the ring or talking up Whyte after win?
What a great night of fights that was!!
Del Boy put in a massive performance tonight 😎
Top to bottom a great card that
The ref was very lenient on whyte :S.... whyte used a lot of smart tricks though and if the ref isn't calling them then you whyte might as well :S
I think he headbutt knockdown really rattled parker. Not sure if the ref could have seen it though
I'd have loved to have seen that back in the 15 round days
Yeah the fight was swaying this way and that. another 3 rounds could have told a different story. For either fighter.
Great night of boxing.
Question on my mind is what happens to Parker now. I would like to think he is able to work his way back for a shot at a title. I hope he is not another Zab Judah. He has already proved he can hang with the best.
Dillian seems to get better every fight i see. Ok he struggled in the latter rounds with stamina but he had Parker in more trouble than AJ did. But i suppose AJ cruised the fight rather than throw what he could have done. The Parker in the AJ fight seemed more comfortable than the Parker in the Whyte fight. Taking into consideration that styles makes fights Dillian made it more of a war and Parker couldn't take the heat. But what a warrior in the last 2 rounds. 15 rds would be nice for us fans but not for the boxers so im not calling for that.
Bah i dunno what the fuck im talkin about. Just enjoying the HW division more than i have for years.
I gotta say as far as PPV's go that was the best one in ages.
Just watching Parkers post fight presser
He hasn't got any complaints, he seems pretty nonplussed by the result to be honest.
He might be a likeable fella and all that but he just comes across as a right drip, I'm not sure where the fire is.
My word two great HW in one night l was entertained well worth the money.
Also Dave Allen his win yes a good night.
I enjoyed all the bill , i will be honest i turned it off when Katie Taylor was on as i dont like watching women fight.
Connor Benn is going nowhere he struggled again against a club fighter.
Delboy fought like a real warrior , as did Whyte , would love to see them get it on again.
Was the best card I've seen in ages.
Take a bow Del Boy... that was some finish 😎
BACKUP PLAN Anthony Joshua v Dillian Whyte rematch will happen in April if Deontay Wilder doesn’t sign, declares Eddie Hearn
Promoter Eddie Hearn has confirmed that Anthony Joshua will rematch Dillian Whyte next April, if the Deontay Wilder fight cannot be made.
Following his dramatic win over Joseph Parker last night, live on talkSPORT, Whyte has catapulted himself into contention for a world title shot.
And now Eddie Hearn, who promotes both Whyte and Joshua, has stated that the Brixton man could get what he’s looking for next April.
“Everybody seems to want the Joshua-Wilder fight, including us,” declared Hearn.
“Joshua has I think the toughest fight of his career on September 22 against Povetkin at Wembley Stadium, but after that we have April planned back at Wembley and the guy we want is Deontay Wilder.
“But he’s very reluctant to agree a deal or sign a contract and, if he doesn’t, Dillian Whyte will be straight in there.”
Whyte beat Parker in a back-and-forth battle which saw both men knocked down, and the 30-year-old clinging on for life at the final bell.
In the past two years, he has also beaten fellow heavyweight contenders Lucas Browne, Robert Helenius and Dereck Chisora and so is now on the verge of the world stage.
Hearn continued: “He has earned the right to fight Anthony Joshua, he’s just beaten Joseph Parker who Joshua beat. He had him down, Joshua didn’t have him down.
“They also have a brilliant rivalry that stems back many years.
“Dillian Whyte beat Joshua in the amateurs, Joshua beat Whyte in the pros at the O2 in an epic fight.
“Of course, our aim with Anthony is to become undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, but if Wilder won’t fight him, then Dillian Whyte has absolutely earned the shot to jump in in April.”
