Re: Middleweight, what’s next?
ggg only cares about cash. he'll go with jermal. 3rd canelo fight proved that
-
Re: Middleweight, what’s next?
michael zerafa has been offered shots at the ibf belt against esquiva falcao & the wba belt against erislandy lara. purse bid for the ibf is late tonight

the purse bid was cancelled after some extension nonsense & michael's team deciding to go a different path

i still don't think the ggg v erislandy fight happens next. i think they'll do danny swift garcia v erislandy
ggg has vacanted his wba belt. danny swift v erislandy could become a reality. who should ggg fight? or should he just retire?
GGG v Charlo would be the biggest fight at the weight.
ggg has entered the wbc middleweight ratings at number one

Re: Middleweight, what’s next?
esquiva falcao v vincenzo gualtieri has been ordered for the vacant ibf belt after michael zerafa chose to go in a different direction

No problem with this and glad to see more unifications. Arguably the more known "names" have opted out of service here and Janibek ducked. Meanwhile Charlo uses the belt as a safety blanket and it receives a pass. This division needs a swift kick in the ass.

Re: Middleweight, what’s next?
so zhanibek alimkhanuly unified the ibf & wbo belts. ggg is all but retired. jermall might be coming back after over two years out & still held on to his wbc belt & now we have danny garcia inactive for over seventeen months v erislandy lara inactive for over nineteen months for the wba middleweight title at a catchweight of one fifty five. it's the current state of the middleweight division

Re: Middleweight, what’s next?
Lara vs Danny Garcia at catchweight..for a 160 title..on PPV :bananna7:
If ever pbc/Showtime need a synopsis of how and why they arrived at the end...there it is. Bleeding pennies from fans literally till the last drop.

Re: Middleweight, what’s next?
Remember the time when they said PPV was to be reserved for only the rare top premiere elite fights?

erislandy lara v michael zerafa has been orderd again

Re: Middleweight, what’s next?
carlos adames has been named full wbc champion as jermall charlo continues to implode, charged with driving intoxicated, fleeing the scene of an accident and eluding police

Re: Middleweight, what’s next?
That is a good fight and a unification? I have always liked Lara but Janibek will destroy him.

I don't want to sell Lara out or short. He has pulled off surprising performances in the past plus he is healthy and unabused by the sport. He is not the typical Cuban boxer who gets lazy after a few years in the US.

i don't mind erislandy but he's like forty two & although he's been stopping his opponents at middle they have been average at best. he might still be slick enough to last the distance

In Janibeks case I think Top Rank essentially failed him for the most part. He's called up everyone from Adames to Bud to Canelo to Boots on and on. But give me a unification any day and it's a great step. Historically 160 has been so much bigger and two champs sweeping it all into one pan I cannot argue with. Rather Adames v Janibek but hope this leads there. Wouldn't be shocked to see Janibek rattled early but actually out speed and beat up a stiff legged Lara forced to stand in down the stretch.
