Maybe Pacquiao does have the advantage, he certainly brings a lot to the ring, but to rule out Hatton in any fight, hell, to rule out any fighter completely in any fight is totally disrespectful and bone headed.
Everyone has their day, no matter who fights you cannot rule out a result different to what you expect, cos' all that matters happens on the night and boxing is just as unpredictable, perhaps even more so than any other sport.
Pacquiao is a damn good fighter and I admire him, but never ever rule out Ricky Hatton.
Great post man, can pretty much shush any fanboys. Do realize hes only posting all these biased & one sided articles im sure theres plenty going in favor of Ricky who I wold put down as favorite. He looks much improved and comfortable in his natural weight class...come May he WILL be ready
Re: Do you think PAC will inflict the worst beating ever on Hatton?
Betting Odds Update (with 5 weeks to go):
After 6 weeks of training by Hatton and 3 weeks that of Pacquiao, the betting odds did not change much...
Manny Pacquiao is at minus -240 to beat Ricky Hatton in their May 2 junior welterweight fight at the MGM Grand Garden. Hatton is plus +200.

RICKY HATTON has been warned he could be killed...
Yeah by Freddie Roach - not exactly an unbiased opinion is it, still, why let facts spoil a good Pacman rant.
Lets review this shall we:
1. A month ago Freddie Roach said that Pacquiao would win the fight.
2. Last week Freddie Roach said that he would be disappointed if Pacquiao did not win within 3 rounds.
3. This week Freddie Roach says that Hatton could be killed.
What next?
4. Next week Freddie Roach says that Hatton may not turn up at the fight as he has been too terrifed to train.
5. Then Freddie Roach says he is worried that if Hatton does turn up he may not be able to move through terror.
6. The week after Freddie Roach says that Hatton cannot turn up for the fight as Pacquiao as he has died from fright.
My guess is that Freddie Roach will be wrong about everything. He ususally is.

This is getting pretty fucking stupid! What the fucks going on? Manny the fucking terminator model 101?
Garbage
Re: Do you think PAC will inflict the worst beating ever on Hatton?
I remember reading a post a while ago about how hard it would be for the crowd to pick sides in the upcoming fight, seeing as Hatton and Pacquiao are both such likeable guys.
Yet the longer I stay on this forum, reading the views of the Pacquiao fans/writers and the predictions of Roach, the more I really want Hatton to obliterate Pacquiao, no matter how 50/50 the fight is, or it is to me anyway.
Re: Do you think PAC will inflict the worst beating ever on Hatton?
PAC is fast and keeps up the pressure, he's hard to hit......but when he is hit he clams up and when Hatton catches him he won't let go and Manny quite frankly looks pretty crap if forced to counter he just waits for a break and then goes back to being in charge. Hatton will be quite happy for manny to come on, he wont be in there to do a Sugar Ray.
Whatever the result they will both need their shields coz someone is getting carried out on it.
Still think Pacman took this one for pure money and him or his camp don't realisewhat a danger Ricky poses.

Welcome to Saddo Mr. PaulG...
Roach was on the dot when he predicted PAC will stop David Diaz inside 9 rounds and again correctly predicted that PAC will KO/TKO Hoya... It was Roach who also said that Hoya can't pull the trigger...
Maybe you can read this article:

Re: Do you think PAC will inflict the worst beating ever on Hatton?
More bad news from Hatton camp...
Excerpt from a boxing news article:
"I’m hearing rumblings of discord and dissatisfaction within the Ricky Hatton camp. Some say it could become a tension convention for Team Hatton. Mancunian whisperers tell that Hatton’s second trainer, Lee Beard, is chafing at his second class treatment from His Arrogance, head trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr.
While his training skills are superb, Pretty Daddy has never been a smooth operator in his relationships with other members of a fighter’s camp. Mayweather does not believe in checking his ego at anybody’s door. (Prime example, constant tensions in the Joan Guzman crew back when Papa M. was handling the Dominican Dandy. It was more of the same when Pretty Daddy fell out with reliable moneymaker Bad Chad Dawson only to be replaced by former champ Eddie Mustafa Muhammad)..."

Re: Do you think PAC will inflict the worst beating ever on Hatton?
so people could have a clearer opinion on pacman and hitman chances in destroying each other here's video links of them training for each other doing heavybag sessions...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qm6G5diNXpo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZ5jkCJeVR8
judging from the videos i think the hitman is slower than before. i reckon before he could even land one punch he'll be eating 3-4 punches from pacman and he'll be out of the way. thats just my opinion u guys can see for yourselves.

At this very day (with one month to go before the fight), PAC and Hatton just looked at same size more or less...;)

Saddo - Roach is backtrackign!..
oh my god. Yesterday Roach said that Pacquiao was going to kill Hatton, now he's only going to knock him out in 3 rounds. You'd better watch out mate cos if he keeps going in this direction then he'll have Manny to lose by the end of the week LOL.
I don't know why you keep posting these links to Freddi's predictions - Freddie said that Vazquez should not fight Rafael Marquez, then Israel took another trainer, and he won twice against Rafael Marquez. He also said, after the fight with (Joe) Calzaghe, that Bernard Hopkins is too old, he should not fight anymore. Then Bernard Hopkins took another trainer and he had one of the best fights of his life, against Kelly Pavlik...
Let's face it, you can post as many Freddie Roach predicitions and comments about worst ever beatings as you like - it makes no difference (apart from to make yourself look a little lacking in perspective) as this will be settled in the ring by the only two people that matter.
You are clearly a Pacquiao fan not a boxing fan.
For what its worth the only prediction I will make is that Manny will not win inside 3 rounds. I actually quite like the guy and think that he is a great boxer but I hope that he loses just to see what you say then.
Roll on May 2nd - it should be a great fight (no matter what Freddie Roach says)!
