Restrepo. Very good Documentary.
The Pianist. One of those I never got around to watching till now. It was also really good.
I have Inception and the Dark Knight but I can't convince myself to watch either. I'll eventually get around to watching Inception but I don't think I can convince myself to listen to Christian Bale and his stupid batman voice for 2 hours.
Find the Christian Bale voice annoying also, but that is a good film mate
i have got winters bone & will try to watch asap, u gotta watch the dark knight one of my fav films of alltime, voice is annoying but u forget abt it quaickly plus he does need to use it to disguise himself i suppose

There is disguising your voice and not understanding a word you are saying. Dark night is a good film, but too many words are lost on me and not only Bale. It's a little too jerky. Heath Ledger is the most digestible of all the actors IMO. Still, as far as recent big budget films go it is good.

It is very good, as a complete film it is one of my favourites of recent years. Just that voice that really makes me strain my ears. What's Batman saying?!
My favourite is Superman 2. Superman is good, but the ending sucks and it kind of makes a mockery of every film after. But I love Zod and I love Christopher Reeves interpretation of Superman. Superman 2 mixes it all together well. Gene Hackman is great as Lex Luther
too. Much better than that crappy remake.

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
You may not like Winter's Bone. I suspect some will like and some hate it. You could say nothing really happens ;D But I still liked it a lot.
On a movie kick and watched another one, Kick Ass. I remember watching the ads and thinking it looked awful. If I had seen it then I would have really been surprised cause I would have had no expectations. But seeing it after being told it was really good, it just didn't quite live up to it for me. It was entertaining enough but definitely not great. The first Hit Girl scene was kind of great.

I finally saw Inception. Great movie.
Kick Ass sucked.
-
re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Atonement. Dear God that was a sad movie. Good movie though.
I don't think Kick Ass sucked, it was somewhat entertaining at times, but I don't get what all the fuss was about.

The Fighter. Thought it was really good to be honest. Wasn't as accurate as i expected and they portray the WBU title as a genuine world title, but it's still very good. Bale is brilliant.
-
re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
Did not recognise Bale, he is a real good actor.

I'm watching 'The Odessa File', I think Bilbo would love that movie. Its about the Nazi hunters and how the secret organization Odessa helped the SS escape Germany (the Catholic Church actually helped them too so miles may like the film as well).....its based on a true story and the book by the same name.

Is that the last one? Cuz the last one kicked ass. The most bloody Rambo movie ever. It's so violent, that it's almost comedic in a good way. I actually laughed out loud during the last shootout scene.
-
I'm watching the German film 'Northface' about the Germans who attempted to be the first to climb Eiger in 1936....good film.

stone De Niro plays a parole officer assigned to Norton, a convicted arsonist who is up for parole. norton arranges for his wife Lucetta (Milla Jovovich) to seduce de niro.
what a load of shite it was (someone else on here said it wasnt very good)
-
I've got 'Barry Lyndon' in my Netflix queue, I'm very anxious to see that film.

Yep. It's a crap one.

I tried to watch the movie "Bronson" about "England's most violent criminal" but it sucked....how could he claim to be the most violent criminal if he never killed anyone? Not your best work England.

CFH sent me a text saying he hasn't had time to log on here. But that he wanted to share this with you guys.
Hey Mick,
How are you? Haven't had time to go on Saddos but do me a favor and go to the "Last movie you watched" thread and post this. Thanks much appreciated.
"I saw Never Say Never with Justin Beiber. I was a bit skeptic at 1st because I went dressed as him and I thought I was going to be the only one but to my surprise there was other men dressed like Justin also. The movie was great and gives you a more in depth look at how hard he has worked and much he truly loves music. It makes you respect him more as the true artist that he his. I also recommend picking up his album. I give it 5 out of 5 Biebs... Get it? Beibs. And remember no matter how hard the task. NEVER SAY NEVER."

Every word of this is true.

I finally saw 'Barry Lyndon'.....great film, long as hell (3 hrs to be exact), but well worth it.
The next film I have in my queue is 'Downfall' the movie about Hitler.
-
'Downfall' although a foreign film (which I have no problems with honestly) is a fucking great movie.....maybe I'm just into WWII but that movie rocks, its a different perspective than I have seen as an American. I mean I never thought of the Axis side as anything other than "the enemy" but this movie is really good story telling, its a great film and you can kind of (I stress "KIND OF") understand the "group think" mentality of the Germans of that era.
The next "movie" I have in my queue is "The Expendables", I can't see how that could be bad.
-
re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
I saw The Social Network and I really enjoyed it. I fear Facebook and all of that because I fear the human race in general, but I thought it was a very good film. Justin Timberlake played himself very well.
-
I imagine u to be like the guy that invented Facebook miles :)
I rewatched four lions today which was good I love it
And freight Which I thought was prob more true to life than we would like :/
I watched burlesque was alright
And buried not long ago which was hard viewing at the end !! Was horrible
Watched the fighter very good but fight was a bit different from the real fight and 127 hours but that bored me sorry to say .....

re: last movie you watched (Flag Up SPOILERS)
I watched 'Caligula' recently an was extremely disappointed. Of course miles would have loved it what with Gore Vidal writing the screenplay and all. Perhaps it's just a sign of the times or my studies of the history of the Roman Empire but it wasn't at all shocking or gory or anything...Malcom McDowell seemed to be playing Alex DeLarge instead of Caligula and the ONLY actors that did anything remotely well were Peter O'Toole (as Tiberius...very solid performance and good makeup/effects on him as well) and the lady that played Drusila (Caligula's sister/lover/advisor). Gore Vidal's image of Claudius was 100% wrong...maybe the fat queen did it for "artistic purposes" but Claudius was very astute albeit while he was handicapped with some physical issues he was not just some retard.
I would love for the people that did HBO's Rome series to perhaps do a film version or even another series of Caligula or Nero or another one of Rome's more interesting Emperors...of which Julius Caesar and Caesar Augustus are of course the gold standards.
The next film I have in my queue is 'Mystery Science Theater 3000: Giant Spider Invasion'...then 'The Expendables'
