The best research on how the grievance studies journals will take anything as long as it fits a narrative. ;D

Note: I edited as I was being mean by saying humanities. I like some humanities journals actually. I have free access to a lot of journals so do read articles that interest me.

Its a painting, not a photograph, as in painted years after what could well have been fictional events. The Flemish Primitives are defined in part by the mystical power they invest in such a realistic rendering of objects. In this tryptych you can see icons in the other panels too. This is at a time when people were starting to question the idea of a flat earth, end of late middle ages and the renaissance is just around the corner. His aim is to move you emotionally in a deeply religious and devotional narrative that not only depicts the magi, Gabriel but also the temple linking both old and new testament. Primitive as in early, not naive, and certainly not third rate Dan Brown conspiracy fodder. Fucking hell man (:
Thanks for sharing. Can we talk about Van Eyck next? The leading light in that group of painters?
Netherlandish altarpieces were made not just as storytelling devices, but also as a conduit for Christian's devotion. They are interesting (and you can see it in the Rogier van der Weyden above) that in order to facilitate this the characters are often dressed in contemporary dress, not that which the people depicted would have worn (have a look) and the architecture is not always ancient or middle eastern but familiar to the local worshipers. It then becomes not so much of a surprise that the crucifixion is their in the nativity scene. He wants you connect to the stories when the altar pieces are opened out on holy days. He is reminding you of the purpose of Jesus life.
I have a theory that The Annunciation is such a recurring theme in these altar pieces because they are a reminder that the wealthy patrons (it is often their patron saints on the outside of the panels) are trying to justify their own role as Lords or Kings, as though that feudal role was also bestowed upon them by Gd.
What the absolute fuck.
Only thing I can think is he was held down as a young teen and molested whilst trying to fight off his Brooklyn street attackers, and the combo of fighting for his life in terror and getting molested at the same time reinforced that sick, twisted reaction in him. I mean he must have been repeatedly abused as a 9, 10, 11 year old when he was hanging out in the street breaking and entering and getting high with 15, 16, 17 year olds. I know the area very well where he grew up, it is beyond nasty and twisted, walked through his very neighborhood many, many times and at about 6 p.m. or so you if you're passing thru on a bus/subway connection, you yeah, probably wanna get the living fuck out of there quick. Poor guy. Still haunted. Just shows what childhood trauma can do for so, so long.
https://youtu.be/9ktRhBcHza4 Anyone see this :o. Kitty just want's that belly rubbed. Had to be one pissed off mama.
what the living FUCK stopped him from picking up rocks and throwing them like 4 minutes before the end? He was passing over prime rock territory, nice big baseball sized rocks, thousands of them. I'd have been fucking off the camera and picking up rocks and throwing them like fucking Bob Gibson.
I dunno, any knowledge I have pretty much ends at domestics ;D. She may have fully committed if he chucked rocks close to her cubs (?!) What do you call young cougars anyway :-X. I'd almost want to face an equal size bear. That cat was moving like Roy Jones with razor blade gloves.
Well I for one would like to congratulate and WELCOME @NoSavingByTheBell and Beanz (won't @ you because I know you don't appreciate it) to being White....

Its crazy how Armenians weren't white from 1880 to 1926 until Zohrab Artaxian paid a Boston judge $25,000 for him to rule otherwise. No court order can make me white. My DNA is what I am, neither is my passport what I am, only my mitochondrial DNA and y-chromosome haplotype, and that has come out to be 48.8% Mesopotamian/Iranian, 28.2% Elazig/Anatolian, 18% Sicilian, 5.1% Coptic Egyptian/North African and get this.... 0.9% Northern/Eastern/Central European.
So I dont care what any US circuit or other court judge rules about me. (and BTW that 18.8% Sicilian DNA of mine is atleast 60% Arabic/Levantine DNA as 60% of Sicilians have Arab DNA)
So yeah, not white.
On an interesting addendum to that, 23 and Me is an excellent DNA testing service, we got 50% off a 2nd analysis and my wife submitted it back in January 2020. They dont ask where the individual is from/what their heritage is, and it came back PRECISELY what her family has always known: 66.5% Bengal/West Bengal State, 23.5% Uttar Pradesh/Rampur and about 10% Patna/Bihar district all in India. They are extremely accurate with both mitochondrial DNA and y-chromosome from the paternal side.
What makes it even more amazing is that her family left India in 1903 for Guyana. So there is no way for 23 and Me to have known that.
haha you know, the truth is we couldnt buy property or land of rent back in 1890-to about 1926, and this rich French Armenian guy paid off some judges in Boston and another rich Armenian from Lebanon paid off a Fresno, CA judge and they then magically ruled we could buy and sell land and property and rent. With the stroke of a pen. What the fuck! Looks like money can make anything happen. Hell if we all pay enough money to a judge maybe we can make Biden into Chinese man (even tho his son is already 50%) lol
