Who REALLY won the Hatton vs Collazo fight?

He Would have looked a lot better if he would have not gotten knocked around in the 12th.

It was a close fight. If you were to judge based on who threw the more effective, cleaner, dramatic looking punches then the fight would without a doubt go to Collazo.

But....
If you were to go with volume of punches landed and aggressiveness, then it was Hatton. Some of the rounds were tough to call.

Because of the Knockdown in the first by Hatton, and the flurry that Collazo dished out in the 12th I felt that this fight was a Draw.

I think that Hatton learned a lot from this fight. You could see him going through a range of emotion throughout the fight. In the fifth or sixth he looked puzzled and a bit uniinterested. By the 7th I think that he realized that only his smothering conisistent aggressive style could save him.

Credit to him for having a giant heart and excellent conditioning but dont know if Hatton should stay up at this weight.

Yep, Everytime Hatton came close, Callazo wanted to hold.

I was there and I thought Hatton lost. From where I was sitting it was hard to see which punches were clean shots. There was also a lot of wrestling and holding that made it difficult to score. I'm going to watch the fight later today and score it with the sound off and then see if my opinion changes. It was a fun night. The UK fans really make an event.

Was it really collazo who wanted to hold or Ricky. Come on Collazo is the boxer hatton was the holder. Hatton started all the holding because that is the only way he can get anything done but collazo figured that out and said to himself when you try to hold me i'm a hold you. It was only fair. Ricky tries to hold in all his fights

Collazo won, to be the man you have to beat the man you can just hold all night and trow rabbit punches and win a fight. yes he did come forward all night but its not like Collazo was scared he fought him and outboxed him IMO. So Collazo victory or a draw at best for Hatton but NO he did not win.

I scored it round by round and didn't look at the card till the final bell.....I thought Callazo did enough to take it, but when I looked at the scorecard Hatton had it by 1! Hatton won the battle but lost the war.

If Hatton is a real champ he'll give Collazo a rematch :) But he didn't give Magee one so I wouldn't bet on it.

Collazo is in loser land, the kid needs to get a belt so he has something to bring to the table, that won't be happening fast enough to get in touch with the fast rising star that is ricky Hatton.

He brought alot more to the table then Hatton did.

The ref was s***, he was walking in to break them up before they even reached each other, there's nothing wrong with some inside fighting, just let them get on with it.....I didn't see either fighter trying to tie the other up without looking for a punch to land, the ref was a f****** joke and ruined the entire second half of the fight.

yea i mean this the nicest way possible, try and see the fight clearly, Hatton was the one that would storm in with lunging punches and then hold, i thought that at the end of the 12th, that each fighter won 6 rounds, had Hatton winning only due to the knockdown in the first. Not such a huge impressive win, and made me think now even more, that both Mayweather and Cotto (especially if it takes place at welter, cause Cotto looks like if he can only get stronger at 147) would beat Hatton, PBF by UD, and Cotto by TKO

Look at it again, and see how many times hatton tried or pushed Collazo's head down when they were tied up. You know that is not boxing and it wears ur opponents down. I still think Collazo won the (BOXING MATCH) which is what this was or am I wrong?

from what iv'e seen over the years judges in america usually score on aggresion. and hatton was the aggressor. he won the fight for me as well by volume and intensity. he looked the boss and i gave it to him by 2. but it was close.
