Re: I'm not bashing Ricky Hatton but......
Starr, you say bullshat about my sentence of styles make fights but all you always spout that "bullshat" and yes,you got a prediction right, woopdi fwookin doo. ;D Must I really go through the list of what you have got wrong. ;) You know,it's funny, before thisfight, you masqueraded as a Hatton fan but now all of a sudden you are glad that he did not perform well.
Re: I'm not bashing Ricky Hatton but......
PBF, ZAB, ODLH, AND NOW HATTON WOULD GET KTFO BY MARGARITO.....
Re: I'm not bashing Ricky Hatton but......
DLH wouldn't he would disect Tony, look at the problems Santos gave Margarito (had Tony winning, but Santos was giving him plenty of probs, mainly cause of size and weight, its about even so his advantage is gone) and DLH would murder, yes murder Santos, I think Tony would either lose by a lopsided decision or a TKO loss by cuts

If you were a chica,I'd say a I love you but as you're not(i'M GUESSING),then you are the man! Slightly disagree,I think Oscar would beat Tony but it would by no means be easy and when you hear De La Hoya mention Margarito, you know he's no bum. Zab and Hatton definitely and add Gatti,Floyd....unsure but dam sure as hell want to see and more so than Hatton PBF as of now.

Good points Teriible but Santos is bigger than Oscar imo. I'd still pick Oscar though.

Cool click :coolclick: for you sir, you have said it all succintly.
I must say all this Ricky bashing is monotonous and tiresome.
Yes he had a bad night, but like all great fighters he still did enough to win it.
He deserves to be a two weight world champion, he is special.
Re: I'm not bashing Ricky Hatton but......
I just think that the Collazo fight means VERY LITTLE in regards to a fight with Floyd.
Is Floyd a southpaw?
Is Floyd a slick outside style fighter?
Is Floyd a true Welterweight?
Did Collazo use Floyd's blocking style?
Did Collazo throw punches like Floyd?
All of those, are NO. Floyd fights his best on the inside with quick punches. Floyd is a true lightweight. Collazo fought MORE like Zab than Floyd. Collazo threw punches differently than Floyd, and being a southpaw Luis' punches came from very different angles which Ricky may or may not be more comfortable with.
I mean it would mean more if Collazo had Floyd's style...but he didn't and Ricky still won so it's a moot point

Have you ever seen floyd fight below welter???So now collazo has better defense and throws better punches than floyd? Are you serious. Hatton was getting hit with straight punches. He was walking right into them.Floyds best punches are straight punches and at the end of the day you know that floyd is like 5 times better than collazo.Stop trying to make him look better so hatton won't look worse.

CC. I'm sick of everyone now trying to make Collazo out to be Pernell Whitaker. The fact is the guy is nothing more than a journeyman. And ok, for argument's sake, let's just say it was his southpaw style that gave Ricky trouble, that doesn't change the fact that he has NO power whatsoever and had Ricky rocked on numerous occasions. Fact is, Floyd is more comfortable at 147 than Ricky will ever be. Floyd doesn't get tossed around the ring like a rag doll and that would be the only reason to state a fighter is fighting at a weight too high, so people need to stop with this 'he's just a blown up lightweight stuff.' No one refers to Oscar as just 'a blown up superfeatherweight' because he's able to not only fight at his new weight, but do so comfortably.

I agree :coolclick:I just bothers me that all the people who swore hatton was gonna blow this guy away are now trying to act like he was some kind of world beater and ricky was brave for taking him on. Whatever. I saw most of these guys picks and 90% thought this guy was a bum and now hes the best ww in the world cause he gave defensive master ricky hatton problems. Please!
Re: I'm not bashing Ricky Hatton but......
smashcrush have you been on the end of any of collazo's punches mate? i don't think so. so the no power statement is a bit bollocks. collazo looked a lot better than most thought he would and was hardle the average fighter your making him out to be. and we all know that he's not a better boxer than mayweather and i don't think that that was even said or implied. he's a different fighter to mayweather.
Re: I'm not bashing Ricky Hatton but......
When a guy stops less than half of his opponents, he has no power.
Re: I'm not bashing Ricky Hatton but......
it's not the aim of the game to knock the other fella out chief. sometimes a knockout doesn't happen. lewis never went for a knockout. but he said sometimes they just came and he had to take them. and before you start i'm not comparing collazo to lennox lewis, i'm just making a point. collazo's punches did not look powder puff to me mate, and they probably would have knocked out a hell of a lot of the fighters at welterwieght. hatton has a hell of a chin.
Re: I'm not bashing Ricky Hatton but......
i doubt mayweather hits any harder than collazo. Judah probably does mind. The hatton that turned up against collazo would lose against mayweather. I think any hatton beats judah...........not including matthew hatton :P
Re: I'm not bashing Ricky Hatton but......
Anyone who thinks that Collazo is a great just becuz he gave Hatton an azzwoopin' of his life must be insane! PBF & Margarito would woop Collazo everyday of the week! Stop using excuses, Hatton don't want none of Floyd cuz it will be a terrible matchup, very one-sided!
Re: I'm not bashing Ricky Hatton but......
'asswhopping of his life' - that is a bit exaggerated to be honest, its the worst iv ever seen hatton perform and i thought the fight could have gone either way, but at the end of the day, hatton is by far a better fighter, thats why hes 41-0-0.
i dont see why people keep giving ricky hatton stick just because hes had 1 bad fight, like hes a wifebeater or something, hes a good guy and good fighter, more than i can say for that cocky shit PBF.
