If you show her an understanding and a comfurt to her that you understand or that you want to understand what she's going through so you can be there for her through it, it shows an unselfishness on your part. Show her that you're thinking about her and not thinking about yourself, chances are, if she's thinking about herself before, she's thinking about you then.

But don't let YOU be the reason she leaves you if she decides to, otherwise you will be miserable regretting things you did and looking back on what you should have done.

i'm trying to give SOBO advice so that he can keep his relationship.

If he shows her an understanding and willingness to be there for her through this, and shows that he's thinking of her and not himself, she will think of him and not herself.

That way they stay together or she leaves, and if she leaves he knows that he wasn't the reason, she just made a choice, and he won't blame himself.

But if he acts like a jealous guy who thinks that she is going to leave him, she is going to think he doesn't trust her... if he is not there for her, she won't think he cares... that will mean that she will leave, and he would be the reason.

Now what would you rather be SOBO?

Would you rather comfurt her and show that understanding.. so that way you show her how much you care by not thinking of yourself?

Or

Do you distance yourself from her and show that no compassion which makes the decision easier and YOU being the reason she leaves and then you will be looking back on things you should have done better and start blaming yourself?

You're forgetting the fact that she's already admitted having feelings for another guy... The fact that shes capable of that while with him, says ALOT about her. Call me crazy but when in a relationship I draw a line that is never to be crossed. Not for any reason can it be crossed, even an old flame. And the only time that line is crossed is well....never...aside the fact it's wrong and changes the way people think for the rest of their life

I know for a fact if someone two-timed me I'd be out to ruin them and who they did it with, maybe not physically (to her) but in some way I will change the course of their life - sorry but getting even is completely neccessary, helps you sleep at night

YOU DON'T GET IT!!! You're missing the huge point, she actually called him and told him. That doesn't mean she's double crossing him. It means that she wants someone to be there for her through this tough time when things are on her mind. It's a sign for him to go comfurt her you nimbwit!!!

bottom line, shes weighing her options

and needs to be told how troubling it is that while with you, she's thinking of someone else

X is right - bang her one last time and be done with it - and when you're doing it, think of Mad_Dog
