well obviously the reports must've have been correct that in the first fight evander's shoulder was screwed up...because 5 knockdowns in the rematch is very good evidence....not to mention he kicked tyson's & foreman's ass...and was the first man to win the HW crown 4 times....so no matter what you say there's nothing you can say to take that fact away from him....the first ever to win it four times.....if he's overrated then every HW is overrated....Quote:

Evander unfortunetly didn't have the greatest health, but he showed he had true balls and came back.
evander's rep at heavy was goinb toe to toe with a bigger more skilled foe in riddick bowe........he only won one but got alot of well earned respect for his heart and guts....much like micky ward did even though he lost 2 of 3 to gatti---he suffered no disgrace as a result but rather gained popularity and respect even in defeat
what really cemented his legacy was standing up to the seemingly re-invincible mike tyson (most people forgot the douglas fight by then and going to prison actually enhanced mike's rep as a bad ass) and kayoing him and then of course mike futhered that even more by biting his ear off in the rematch
what most people forget when evaluating vander as an overall fighter is that he was probably the greatest cruiserweight of all time...which is not like being the best middleweight ever but it does have some merit...

Hey it is what it is you cant fairly hold losses to people when he was out of his prime....No one holds against Ali and others when there best days were behind them but they still wanted to battle....you are unfairly judging Holyfield when he was clearly one of the best Heavweights of all time..
There is no way Ray Leonard is overated he is one the best P4P fighters that ever lived, period.
