What major boxer had the worst chin ever

I figured you guys would jump all over Gerry Cooney so far I've only seen one put him down.I actually am defending him in this one.All I can say is look he was down against.Larry Holmes one of the greatest heavyweight champions,George Foreman again one of the greatest,Michael Spinks one of the best lightheavyweight champions.I would be glad to be knocked down by any of those fighters.LOL. Anyway you guys pretty much named all the Glass Joe's.

We are talking champions here right? Then it's Hearns!

Nice call here.Mayweather Had The highs and lows of both worlds,A searing Right that could stun and hurt the best but His chin at times looked constructed of aluminum foil.His KO loss to Pineda was so explosive and sudden a turn around.

The fights i've seen of Tito's he didn't have an extraordinary chin either.. But he was able to get back up and recover.

taking the chance of being redundant.. as i didn't read pages 1-4.. i think Diego Corrales was a bit chinny.. i mean, it kind of depends on how you look at it.. the man was a warrior and a machine, but he has to be the guy who has the most 1 punch knock downs i've ever seen.. he may not have been KO'd/TKO'd but he still went down A LOT.. vs mayweather at least 4 times, casamayor at least twice in the first two fights, castillo in the first fight 3 times i think? plus i'm sure more that i'm missing, but he went down A LOT..

not to take anyhting away from him.. he was great, he just got knocked down a lot.. thankfully he was courageous enough to get back up and keep going and thats why he was a champ.

Lennox Lewis. It took a single punch from 2 journeymen. No accumulation, nothing, just a punch and down he goes:rolleyes:.

I'm going with Vlad Klitschko, Tommy Hearns, and Lennox Lewis...

I probably agree with that one... Plus everyone can get caught with a good shot that you're body is not prepared for and you'll go down... Some could say Hatton because he got decked by Mayweather in that case..

I think Roy handled punches pretty well, as age and split second lapses in concentration eventually caught up with him, so did the canvas..

But THEN, we hasn't hit much either..

Ugh, Cooney took MASSIVE accumlation punishment from both Spinks and Holmes before going down.

He was coked out and way past his best weight when ATG great hitter Foreman nearly decapitated him.

Tommy Hearns chin wasnt exactly steel , but Terry Norris had dodgy wiskers for sure , cant think of another world champ with such suspect chin as Norris.
His offence was enough to beat many challengers.
Roger Mayweather also had suspect chin.

Majority of all his knockdowns were flash knockdowns, i think all these bad chins rumors would have been erased when he fought a much bigger man in Bernard Hopkins and took a pasting and was still there. It took a monster right hand from Hopkins to stop Tito and even then Tito still got up from it.

He got up from both but was stopped. Down twice in his entire career. Took flush punches off Tyson , Tua , Bruno , Briggs , Grant , Vitali etc without blinking . I think that proves he had a very good chin . Tyson , Evander, Bowe went down more often than him .

I noticed a few people mentioned Roy Jones and I may have to agree. Roy's reflexes were so extraordinary that he almost never even took a clean head shot for the first 40 or so fights of his career. I get the feeling that if in his prime he had the reflexes of a mere mortal, he would have been knocked around the ring like Zab, Wlad, and other glass jawed fighters.
