Not necessarily bro, should I discard EVERYTHING MAB has been doing over the last 15 years for this sport, all the great fights and all the skill he has brought into the ring just for his last fight(which was a masterful performance nonetheless)? NO!! HELL NO!
And to say Juarez is a lowly fighter is not true at all bro. Juarez is not as good as he could be but that left hook ahs KO'ed NUMEROUS opponents and when you hear Emmanuel Steward say that Rocky is P4P one of the hardest punchers around,it's a miracle MAB took the punch. I could say the same about Pac, a fewmonths ago,he was shaken to his boots by Larios,a guy who just moved up 2 divisions to fight him!
I just MAB v Jesus Salud(one of THE great boxing performances I have ever seen) and I also saw a fewother MAB fights and I think iof anyone can beat PAC it's MAB. He'll be training for this fight like no other,he knows the task at hand and with veterans like B Hop/Oscar etc around him, after seeing his Mexican rival Morales destroyed and after remembring the beating he took from Pac the last time out, we may very well see one last GREAT MAB perfomance. Even I admit that I am guilty of not giving this guy enough credit at times,he is a TRUE legend in every definition of the word! I just honestly hope he ahs enough left to go to war. He hasn't really has to since 04? I hope he has some Mexican fire left in the tank because if he ahsnt',that mosnter Pacman(who I have ALOT of respect for and I think is P4P number1) will destry MAB again!
A beautiful posting. I would click you but you've been clicked already, young Mr Gamo..
Thanks bro,I nailed that one didn't I? LOL,I'm a bit shocked at my spelling mistakes though, laziness!! Already clikced you today too but I totally agree with your other post,I think MAB won the first Juarez fight by 2 and I've seen it three times. The big deal was made because Rocky gave MAB a much tougher fight than most expected and because of the controversy with the cards but I don't know anyone that actually thought Rocky won and MAB did not have to give him a rematch,Rocky didn't earn a shot in the first place!

You got it spot on, a most adroit posting. Succinct and to the point. I likes that jazz! Rocky did better than expected. The busted up nose hardly helped things, but Barrera worked it and got the result. The rematch was a shut out clear and simple. No, it wasnt exciting...but it was a job well done.
MAB is now at the stage when a Pac rematch is possibly at its most opportune moment. Pac is coming off of thrashing Morales and now the MAB doubters are out in force, along with the Pac fanatics!!! ;D
MAB is no fool. He's aware of what the situation is. He has worked since the last Pac fight to work on those underestimated boxing skills and build his confidence back up. Morales as great as he was, was perhaps very wrong to jump into an immediate rematch with Pac. He paid the price. Barrera has been very wise. He has taken his time, and for Barrera to be underestimated, which he currently undoubtably is, is to be very churlish indeed...
Barrera has it in him to really break against the current popular tide...

Excellent post bro and I totally agree. Like I said earlier, I myself have been guilty of underestimating Marco's capabilities and Pac will be a favourite but man,I just watched more of MAB's fights and his ability to come back from a loss with an excellent performance is under rated and unparalelled. I thought he beat Junior Jones the second time, won the third with Morales and like you said, he has been working on his boxing skills and may be conserving that fury for Pac? That final war?
The thing with Morales is Pac beat him badly the second time and Erik did take off alot of time after that fight but he just did not have enough left in the tank..I'm hoping Marco does have more left and also, with his boxing skills, who knows?
I tell you now though,if MAB beats Pac,that would be SUCH an amazing achievement! And if Pac wins, you won't be hearing any excuses from me. His willingness to fight the best is refreshing and he has a great, exciting style. If Manny wins,he'll cement his place as P4P number 1 without a shadow of a doubt!

Agreed on a number of points there. If Pac beats MAB there will be no complaints from me. Pac will be the best no questions asked. Ive been getting flack recently for saying Pac needs to beat Barerra again to convince me, but thats the way it is. He did the job on Morales but there were many doubts about Erik anyway. As a Morales fan I tried to hold on to what was once there. With Barrera its not about losses and once being, he is still here a vital boxer and a champion. If Manny beats Barrera then PBF can just piss off as P4P number 1. Baldomir is no MAB and Judah doesnt come near either!
With Morales it seems hindsight says it all. I wanted him to win because im a long time fan but he was coming off of a run of defeats and his skills and stamina were beginning to look dubious. This much is apparent. Barerra is still at the top and seems to be getting critisism because he isnt brawling like Morales was still so inclined to do. That is the difference. Barrera will be evasive and working shots to steal rounds.
People are downplaying MAB and saying Pac wins beacause of Pac: Morales 3 and Pac: MAB 1.....understandable but just a little bit ignorant methinks!! ;D

Exactly, there are alot more intangibles involved than just saying MAB will lose because Morales did. To be honest,I still think beating Morales twice is a better achievement than anything Floyd has done in a while and certainly better than anything PBF has accomplished at 147. You are totally correct, Morales tried to blow Pac away but it did not work! He tried to do to him what he did to Junior Jones! Alas,it was in vain and anyway,MAB is too smart for that. I don't care how he does it,I want him to win but kudos to Manny if he wins too! 2 awesome fighters,I just hope the fights comes off asap!

do u think mabs boxing style in 2nd rocky fight would work against pac ??
Re: sources say the Latest on MAB vs PACMAN II............
Lil bro Ice,personally speaking, I don't that style alone will work for MAB,no way. Manny is far far far more aggressive than Juarez and would go after MAB like a madman. However,MAB would need to use the jabs and hooks like he did against Jurez but I mean I believe somewhere in the fight,Manny will get to Marco and then MAB will have to dig deep and that would be the point which I keep referring too,he would need to have some fire, some deterrent to back Pac off. I would also like MAB to use those deadly hooks to the body alot,to try to slow Manny down.
And although Pacman has improved immensly since their first fight, he is still way off balance when punching,so MAB should use his footwark and be in positions to punich him for his sloppiness like JMM did. Another poster here,YOITSDAN made a great point,MAB is lethal with his hooks up close so may be at times,MAB should get closer and work on the inside too? I'm not sure, that would be going into the lion's den! And Pac looked good whenever he and Morales were on the inside. There lot's of things MAB has to do which is why the odds are stacked against him.
I've probably missed out alot of points but that's what I see thus far,1 night watch MAB v Juarez 1 and 2 again just to see if I can pick anything else up and I'll watch EM v Pac 1(can't watch the other 2!!!) and see what Morales did right. MAB should watch that fight too and see what he can use

Nah, you've got it all wrong...
I feel barrera won both of those fights fair and square ;)
and pac didnt won convincingly against larios? bwaah
and you'll say larios shook pac thats why his chin is a suspect
he wobbled him early but pac came right back and cruised the rest of the fight
while juarez rocked MAB late then barrera struggled the rest of the fight...
its just unfair dude. i wont be in tranquility till you critics continues to bring up
how he got KOed by bums. how he was hurt by larios. how bad is his chin
i'll take it if you say jmm and EM took him to school before... but not this shat
and i tell you, once barrera gets hit by a solid punch - hes goin down
pac did it before. and i dont care if yall say its not the real MAB in there
as far as i know his chin would alway be his chin and he didnt left it at home that time
the only question here is can he hide from the storm?
P.S.
and im holdin my ground. MAB's chance is to go for the kill
body shots. body shots. body shots. i knew it sounds crazy.
he can outbox pac but not for all 12 rounds
eventually hes gonna get hit and will be forced to trade
and hes gonna get hit. and if he manages to stay in his toes
can he reassert himself to continue on his gameplan? he failed to do so against juarez
but i recognize that your a MAB fan. same way as me with pac. so im cool and youre cool
nobodys wrong. its just we dont know whos right. not yet. but we'll know. ;)

Re: sources say the Latest on MAB vs PACMAN II............
About Barrera not being able to re establish his boxing in the 1st Jaurez fight . . . . . This is a good point but there were alot of circumstances surrounding that fight that suggests it wont happen again . As Barrera proved in the return , he stuck to his boxing from start to finish so this indicates that he is still able to put things right . He was preparing to fight Chavez at lightweight but when that fight fell through he had already built his body up to lightweight but had to bring it back down again . The bloody nose didnt help Barreras case and he felt he was in a position where he had to fight it out rather than get back to his boxing .
The difference between that fight and the Pac rematch is that Barrera wil be expecting a war from the offset . He wont strt so casually as he did against Juarez and Pac the 1st time . If he put all his eggs in one basket and went for body shots all out , then he'd have nothing to fall back on if that failed . He's alredy seen s**t or bust tactics fail with Morales . Plus Barrera is a sensible man and wont burn himself out early in this one .
It will be a 12 round strategy executed by 1 of the greats . I'd love to see him get back to his year 2000 days when he was coming forward with combos but that Barrera has gone . He can call upon his grit and determination still but as a fight plan it will be for teh most part , sensible classy boxing , giving Pac angles , keeping him on the end of a ramrod left hand and mixing his shots well . There may be times where he gets hit and hurt and has to stand his ground in the trenches but he's right at home in that kind of battle too . He'l just come out for the next round boxing again . When he fought Nas he resisted the urge to finish it cuz he was instructed to stick to his boxing and he was able to do so with discipline. It will be a masterclass if it ever comes off .

LMAO,I must be you're only asian/martian homie so the best by default!!! CC back brother, and you're near 500,remember the deal? 500cc's=pics!! By the way,who do you think will win between Pac and MAB?? Will you go to the fight?
Re: sources say the Latest on MAB vs PACMAN II............
Excellent excellent point GAME bro,I completely forget but MAB was about to make history fighting Jesus for another world title in a different weight class, bulked up,ut the fight was cancelled so he had to lose all that weight again. Totally forgot about that and let's not forget the psychological ramifications of that:record breaking world title fight or a normal match woth Juarez who didn't deserve a shot in the first place, must have been difficult for MAB to get as motivated and yet, like I said earlier,he still won that Juarez fight(by 2 on my card)

Yeah coming down in weight effects fighters badly . Look at Morales and Roy Jones . It effected Barrera too but he's recaptured his form .
I remember b4 the rematch with Juarez everyone was saying Barreras finished but me and you werent impressed with Juarez . I think Miles agreed aswel . People thought that was the best Barrera could do against a young hungry challenger but the rematch proved us right . It was all about Barrera not being as focused as he should be . Its the same set up with Pac . He wasnt focused in that 1 but he will be in teh return and we'll see the difference it makes
