Disagree. IMO Mike Tyson in his prime showed alot more skills then Lewis ever did. Great head movement and defence to dodge punches, and when the time came to give them uses his peekaboo style and explosively quick hands to give his opponent hell.Quote:

Tyson was more explosive because of his speed, but he isn't as heavy handed as Lewis was.
Cmon Ice Cold,
you just spent the time to look up who they both had in common, just to put it here?
Are ya tellin me you werent trying to Suggest anything by those comparisons ???
to be honest no mate i was just looking at similar opponents they fought i already said i think tyson in his prime hit harder that list i done u cant really tell from because they were at different ages and some were past there prime and ect ect i just wanted to show people i wernt trying to say lewis hit harder because like i said i already thought tyson hit harderQuote:

tony tucker vs tyson= ud for tyson (tyson fought him in 87 when tucker was 29”)
tony tucker vs lewis= ud for lewis but lewis floored him twice (he was 35 yrs old, lennox fought him in 93’)
HOWEVER!!, Bruce seldon, herbie hide, and John Ruiz all Ko’d tony tucker, something that tyson and lewis did not do. Does this mean they are harder punchers than lewis and tyson?
ruddock vs tyson= win 7th round tko wins 12 round ud (tyson fought him in 91)
ruddock vs lewis= lewis destroys him in 2 (lewis fought him in 92)
frank bruno vs tyson= tyson wins both fights 5th and 3rd round ( tyson fought him in 89 when bruno was 28, and them when bruno was 35. But wait?!?!, tyson knocked him out in earlier rounds the second time around,)
bruno vs lewis= lewis wins tko but being behind on my scorecard at the time of the stoppage (what does being behind on the scorecards at the time of the knockout have anything to do with power)
golota vs tyson= golota doesnt come out for the 3rd if i remember right so nc
golota vs lewis = lewis destroys him in 1
Lewis finaly fights someone before tyson did, HOWEVER lamon brewster ko’d golota in the first round of their fight. Does Lamon brewster have more or the same power as lewis? Even WORSE, does brewster have MORE power than tyson? Tsk tsk tsk,
botha vs tyson= tyson kos him in the 5th but being behind at the time(tyson fights botha in 99’ when botha was 31)
botha vs lewis= lewis destroys him in 2( lewis fights botha in 00’)
holyfield vs tyson= tyson loses in 11th and again by dq
holyfield vs lewis = 1st fight a draw but it was biggest robbery in boxing lewis deserved it 2nd fight being close with lewis winning 7 rounds to 5
This doesn’t explain power at all, neither one ko’d holyfield
tyrell biggs vs tyson= tyson wins 7th round tko (tyson fights biggs in 87 when biggs was 27)
tyrell biggs vs lewis = lewis wins 3rd round tko (lewis fights biggs in 91’ when bigs was 31)
Also, Tyrell biggs was ko’d by larry donald in the 2 round, does that mean he is more powerfull than tyson AND lennox lewis? Don’t forget Ray Anis, who knocked out tyrell biggs in the 3rd, I guess that means he has the SAME power as lennox lewis, and is stronger than mike tyson right?.
You just can’t compare the opponents of the two, and look at knock out rounds. A lot of things can come into play, training, age, previous beat downs…..
If anything, all but 1 guy that was knocked out by the two was beatin by tyson FIRST. Who knows what happens to a guy after getting KO’d by a guy like mike tyson.

You actually have the nerve to compare Wladimir's win over Mercer to when Lewis fought him?! He was over 40 when Wlad fought him and in his prime when Lennox faced him. The night he fought Lewis, or Morrison, he woulda murdered Wladimir. And Barret, I like him, but good chin, uh ...no. Castillo, the fukin little Cruiserweight Castillo? Who just got knocked out by Emmanuel Stewarts charge? ;D When were Brock and McCline known for having such great chins either, better than Castillo and Barret, but not "great". How did you even get into this thread? Did someone leave the back door open or something, and you snuck in. Go, get. Get outta here. ;D
not mad at all :)Quote:

Tyson does have some devastating ko's, but so does Lewis I mean look at Rahman II or Ruddock or a whole slew of guys and you'll have a pretty large less... Anyways Lewis hits way harder than Wlady onl dreams he could hit... Being bigger, stronger, and a better fighter does that for you. By bigger I mean in muscle mass.
