Well, on the previous page of this thread, I started listing reasons why Mayweather would beat Margarito. I stopped at 3, but I easily could have kept going.

Thats pretty outrageous.... Every great fighter has been rocked or buzzed with a good shot one time or another and has recovered... To say Corley could have put Mayweather away if he was a better finisher, is a total blanket statement that could be used IN EVERY SINGLE SCENARIO that I mentioned....

I guess the Great Lou Del Valle could of stopped Roy Jones if he was a better finisher ::**
Just cause he got buzzed against Corley, takes nothing against his body of work and is a totally irrelevant as a yard stick in gauging Mayweathers prowess in the ring
Look what happened to Roy Jones when he got tagged by decent punchers. I'm just saying things would be a lot different if Corley knew how to finish. Hell i could say the same thing for Miguel Cotto. Mayweather was wobbled quite alarmingly a few times by Corley quite early on. All i was doing was making a point that Floyd is far from perfect.....and
if Oscar De La Hoya lands as clean as Chop Chop did then its lights out for Mayweather.
Some times fighters tend to be lax and are willing to open up against a lighter punching opponent.... Believe me against Delahoya, Floyd will have his right hand glued to his ear... Like you used Cotto as an example.. Miguel was rocked bad against Chop Chop, just like he was against Ricardo Torres.. It happens bro, Oscar has been put on his ass against a few as well same with these guys, that have been buzzed or dumped on there asses. Ali, Robinson, Leonard, Hearns, Hagler, Lewis, Holyfield, Pac-Man, B-Hop, Trinidad, Calzaghe, Eubank, Morales etc... ;)
Floyd may not be perfect but he is the closest thing as perfect in that ring that we have seen in the past 20 or so years ;D

Stop talking about him... you're turning into Royal.
Who died and made you the boss of the forum? Are you now the d1ck-tator here?
Why cant I speak on Floyd? Does it bother you? Is he your lover? Your boyfriend? Do you have a g@y crush on him? Are you his protector? His defender? His knight in pink gladiator armor? Do you have posters of him in your room with little pink hearts on them? lol
I can say all I want about Floyd.
I don't think one person on this forum finds your posts about Mayweather anything but pathetic. He's completely right, get over it you victim.
I agree with Dan. I don't think Mayweather needs to talk like he does. P4Pking and Sweetpea are both very knowledgeable members of this forum but they wont ave anything bad said about floyd. IMO opinion Floyd needs a fight with a young hungry fighter in their prime right now. He aint nowhere near the greatest of all time. I like him as a fighter, he's brilliant but actually i'm off work with a sprained ankle ligament so i've been watchin a lot Floyd Mayweather fights today. He lost to Castillo without a shadow of a doubt 1st time out and

It's February 7 and already we got the stupidest comment of the year.
Re: Mayweather runs his mouth wreckless again.
Floyd can really polarize people. I don't think anyone can question his talent. His arrogant personality and disillusioned thoughts that he is an all time great can really turn people off. Sure, a lot of the great fighters have had an attitude and supreme confidence...but in Floyd's case his career resume just doesn't back up his statements. I have said in previous posts...Floyd has never fought a GREAT fighter. He fought some good fighters in the early part of his career...with Castillo being probably the best opponent he has faced...and i personally don't consider him a truly great fighter. Now, whether the quality of opposition Floyd has faced is his fault or not can be debated. But bottom line for me is that his resume doesn't come remotely close to some of the legends he thinks he deserves to be in company with. This is especially true in recent years...Floyd has particularly glided in his last several fights. The hype really kicked in when he beat Gatti...but any semi intelligent boxing fan knows that Gatti was a tailor made opponent for Floyd...a punching bag for Floyd to display his speed. That's why i laugh anytime people point to Floyd's defeat of Gatti as an example of his greatness. Then of course there was Shamba Mitchell (well past his prime), Zab Judah (probably one of the mentally weakest/unstable fighters in the biz), and Carlos Baldomir (a great story, but ultimately a slow and limited skill). Now he is fighting Oscar...and while that is a HUGE step up in quality....he is still in a lose/lose situation in my opinion. If he fights smart he will dance his way to victory but many people will get on him for not standing toe to toe. If he does stand toe to toe there is a more than a decent chance he could get hurt by the bigger and stronger fighter. And then of course there is the fact that Oscar really isn't in his prime anymore...something that will linger in many peoples minds if Floyd is to win easily. Is that fair to Floyd...maybe not...to him this fight is as much about money and fame as it is about a challenge...and you can't hate him for that. Some people mention Hatton and Margarito...and I agree with some that neither of these fighters has truly proven themselves. But at least they are live bodies and somewhat intriguing match ups. Can Floyd beat both...absolutely. But for Floyd to be taken truly seriously as an "all time great"...he has to consistently fight and beat better opposition. Will this happen? Not really sure. But as it stands right now, Floyd is just a very talented fighter...but he certainly is no where close to being a legend.

Remember, this isnt Pee-wee were talking about. Floyd aint a brave type a fighter lately... He's great but im sure he, more than anyone else, knows his own limitations.
I think Margaritos size, power and activity would intimidate Floyd AND hamper he's ability to pot-shot.
An embarassment this fight would't be.

Haven't you learned that you can't say anything bad about Floyd around these parts. ;)

Well Floyd beat Baldomir 12 round to 0, and I still haven't seen anyone be able to list the reasons why Margarito should be considered a significantly better fighter than Baldomir.

And im not about to.
You think Baldomir was embarassed after his loss?
If anything, in a fight with Margarito, floyd would throw less and be hit a bit more.
He'd also have a higher chance of being KO'd.
But like i say, even if it was still 12-0 to Floyd, i doubt it would serve as an embarassment.

He lost every single minute of every single round and didn't land a meaningful punch the whole night. Do you think that was what he expected of himself going into the fight? If losing 12-0 isn't getting embarassed, then what is?

Why??
This is what I mean. Everyone says Margarito is more dangerous to Mayweather than Baldomir, but why??
What does he do significantly better than Baldomir??

I agree that it would be a very uncomfortable experience for Mayweather
Maragrito is very tall thus Floyd would have to get in the danger zone to land his shots. Floyd always fights when the stats are in his favor, Floyd is a natural 135lbs. fighter doing what he must do in order to continue his winning way at the higher weight , not exciting by any stretch , but very effective. . Mayweather is very intelligent fighter and so naturally gifted with his feet, and can move upin weight and succeed , where other can‘t ! O0

Your missing the point mate, its not what he does, its what he is:
Bigger
Fitter
Harder
He's basically Corrales plus 21lbs of muscle, an Inch of hight plus a few extra inches of reach.
Thats not good.
BTW embarassing is when youve run for 12 rounds of boxing then in the dying moments of the fight, jesture to your knackerd opponent to fight you.
