Re: Is the Prince of Puerto Rico ready to step in and become the king
Your name and last fight alone doesnt warrant a "shot" at Floyd.Hatton has a stellar record and is a legend over in England and Floyd has been itching to fight him after Hatton bashed him ringside at the Gatti(It could have been the Judah fight...not sure). Those three components are the reason why the fight will happen.1.It'll sell out 2.One will drop that egg off from their record 3.Floyd really wants to fight him..so its not like a mandatory fight.Floyd doesnt need an opponent for late 07...after DLH he wont have to chase anyone...and he is only 31 so he has plenty of time.

So you're saying that Hatton is a more legitimate opponent for a title fight at 147 pounds?
Hatton's welterweight resume consists of barely beating Collazo and then running back to 140.
Mosley is a champ at both 147 and 154.
I'm not saying Floyd shouldn't fight Hatton. I'd be fine with watching that fight and it would be a huge event. I just completely fail to see how Hatton deserves a fight, yet Mosley doesn't. That seems to be what you're saying.

After getting dominated by Wright twice.Mosley lost some leverage. The ONLY reason why Floyds name is being brought up is b/c of Mosleys good last fight.I wouldnt say that Hatton deserves a shot over Mosley..but Hatton is bringing way more to the table.
Winky countered Mosley to death.
Winky beat him to the punch 80% of the time.
Winky frustrated Mosley.
Floyd excellent counter puncher argueablly the best.
Floyd will beat anyone to the punch due to his excellent timing gained from his uncles mitt work.
Floyd would def. frustrate Mosley
