Compare who Judah has fought in his career to who Hatton has fought.
If not his whole career then just look at his last 3 fights.
I knew someone would say this. But all I'm saying is that despite his opponents, he still won, which is something Judah didn't do. I can't understand why Judah has so many supporters who believe he can pull this off against a strong, young, hungry fighter in his prime when he has failed to perform recently and has been exposed on a number of occasions.

Im going for Judah to win by stoppage i think Cotto has a few chinks in his armour i don't think he's qite as good as people think

I don't get it really. Tszyu disposed of Zab with a powerful punch. Cotto can bang and bully, I don't think Zab can handle it and I see him coming out of this with no win in 4, where surely people will question if he is unable to hang with the big boys anymore.
I'm not sure it's a matter of "believing in him." I don't. But he has some serious skills, and if he puts it all together on fight-night against Cotto, then Cotto has a tough night.
I picked Judah UD which is an odd choice in some ways ... there are good reasons to argue against that. Judah early TKO, or Cotto later TKO or even KO ... either of those are very persuasive. Judah doesn't often "put it all together" but he does tease us with his obvious possibilities.
The fight will tell the tale.

Bringing up variables about a fighter does not equate to support.
Once again...for the record...I despise Judah, but, that doesn't mean that he's not a great boxer that has a shot at pulling off an upset.

Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Cotto vs Judah.
We all have to remember and see that Judah was Super Judah when he was at 140 lbs (30-1). Since He moved up to welterweight (147) his record has been 4-3.
Don't buy what Judah keeps on saying at these press conferences and these fight promos. He's making people think that Judah is going to be "Super Judah" on June 9th. Don't believe it. His only good performance against a caliber fighter @ 147 came against Spinks. Spink's style of fight favors Judah. Spink's is a boxer. He throws 1 punch and moves. I'll put my money on Judah against a boxer anytime. But only a boxer.
I honestly think this fight is going to be alot easier for Cotto than many people predict. Cotto puts constant pressure on every fighter he fights. We all know how Judah responds to pressure!!! I'm telling ya', don't go believing Judah's words "It's gonna be a massacre come June 9th". "It's gonna be an early Christmas for Miguel Cotto come June 9th." It ain't gonna be s***!! One thing I hate is fighters who talk so much smack saying they gonna do this and they gonna do that and then the fight comes and they end up running for 12 rounds and not giving the people what they said they were. Judah is all talk with no walk. And over rated at the welterweight division.
Cotto not only wins but gives him a beating like he did to Magg who also promised this and that!
Put your money on Cotto!!!!! Cotto ko's 5-7.
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Cotto vs Judah.
If you think that Judah and Malanaggi are in the same class you are terribly mistaken. I suspect a large Cotto victory. But don't rule the Judah out.
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Cotto vs Judah.
I'm not putting them both in the same class, I'm saying that they talk too much and don't live up to what they said they were gonna do. And the reason this happens to many of Cotto's opponents is because they watch Cotto's fights on tape and don't give him the respect he deserves and when they finally get in the ring.....they find out that the man is alot tougher than what they assumed! I'm sorry, but I'm counting Judah out already. This fight is a set-up fight for a Mega fight further down the road with the best for M.Cotto!!

You also have to remember that Judah has proven that when the chips are down & the deck is stacked against him...he has risen to the task at hand. I don't believe that Judah will ever be "Super" again...but if he can dial in on Cotto's inadaquacies...he has a shot as stopping Cotto with his power.

I'm not buying in to what Judah says...I never listen to him when he starts bumping his gums...I never really listen to any fighter that talks outside of Bernard Hopkins...& that's just outta fun.
Anywho, Judah is the better boxer of the two combatants. While Cotto does have devastating body work tucked into his mits...Judah is a slick & speedy boxer...in the past, any fighter that has faced Cotto with some bit of speed & accuaracey has given "we Cotto fans" some pretty valid scares.

Totally disagree...but I hope that your'e right. I'd love to see Cotto just spark him outta the gate.

That was one time. And it was against a relatively featherfisted Spinks who is renown for his lack of stamina. Judah was far from spectacular that night.

I disagree here. Yeah Judah is fairly slick but I wouldn't call him the better boxer. I'd say Cotto is the better more complete boxer. He's a lot more fundamentally solid which imo, is what the term "boxer" applies to imo. He boxes well from both the inside and outside and has the more diverse punch selection. I would say Cotto is a much more rounded fighter then Judah. I think Judah hurts Cotto from the outside and that's pretty much his chance.

What do you disagree with there? I think that is pretty much the truth. Pressure breaks down Judah, so does power. Judah has a chance early is what everyone believes, but when was the last time Judah got KO'd anyone of any merit in the opening rounds. Never.
I think you're being a little to scepticle of Cotto Wack to be honest. I think Cotto is the better fighter and I think the style favors Miguel Cotto.
Cotto has been hurt walking fighters down before, but that was when he was still more or less a prospect. I think he came into his own versus Quintana. He really showed out in that performance, punched in transition and made Quintana a little gunshy. Replaced the earmuffs with jabs and straight rights. I'd lend myself to the view that Judah is going to hurt Cotto coming forward a year or so ago, but Cotto is a different fighter now. He's an improved fighter, really shows what gymwork he has been doing to recognize that flaw even after a victory. Judah has improved not a single one of his flaws since Tszyu exposed him. He's more or less the same fighter.
I was DOWN on Cotto after Torres. Great fight but I thought he was so incredibly flawed that any fighter who could stand in the pocket and fire straight shots would destroy him. Well, Cotto has changed. He had to up his game to beat Quintana and he did. I thought Quintana was going to surprise everyone again, but Cotto stepped his game up and he really rose to the occasion and put on what I thought was a breakthrough performance.
I'm thinking Cotto by decision, because Judah goes into a shell when he's broken down and while he won't attempt to win, he won't be KO'd either. But now I'm thinking that his is going to be a HUGE breakout performance for Cotto. I truly believe he is going to beat Judah down. This might be the last time Judah ever fights in a big fight imo. I think Cotto will wreck him.
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Cotto vs Judah.
dang i was hoping this was on june 2nd :(

Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Cotto vs Judah.
zab may ruin cotto this could be a mistake for cotto to take....
zab is dangerous if he comes in fully focus and prepared his one of the best p4p fighters around.
but more likely zab will under achieve again and lose a fight he could win ;D

Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Cotto vs Judah.
again if zab cant close it in the first 3-4rounds i see COTTO by stoppage!
Re: Just another one of Wacko's Drunken Round by Rounds...Cotto vs Judah.
I still say Zab has the tools to make Cotto look amateurish on the way to an impressive upset win! 8)
Win, lose or draw its gonna be a corker....
Boxing is having a pretty good time of late...we musnt grumble or groan about some of the fights we have on the cards!! :D
