I dont care if Nas's power wasn't really seen against the one elite fighter he fought,
You could just see it was devestating, even to knock out tomato cans in the way that he did, it was still an amazing human feat and apart from Tyson and RJJ I still can't say i've ever witnessed one punch power like that p4p since then.
All those guys were good but Barrera is a different level . This what I think of Hameds reignQuote:

Alicea - Good fight . I like to see young kids go at it instead of guys on the way down .Nas had to concentrate after the knockdown but once he did he proved he was a class above
Medina - One of Naseems hardest fights . Whether or not he had a cold , he was still beating one of the top fighters who went on to win the world title a couple of times . He made him quit too so that was a top win for Nas in hindsight
Molina - Easy nights work against an overmatched opponent . Nas was back in his comfort zone but after afew scares in his last 2 fights he probably needed a confidence restorer and an impressive win before the big 1 . . .
Tom Johnson - Imo This was Nas at his best . May not have been his best display but he was focused throughout and needed to be. Johnson was at the end of a great reign but he floored Nas at the end of the 3rd ( not counted ) and bought more to the table in terms of class than every other Nas victim . Nas youth and power won it for him in a top fight
Billy Hardy- The sunderland fighter was way out of his league and shouldnt have been in there but he earnt his chance and Nas could only beat the guys they put infront of him
Cabrera- - Another 2 round blowout against an overmatched opponent . Nas probably abit annoyed he couldnt drop his man this time
Badillo- Great showmanship from Nas this night and the cracks emerged with Ingle around this time. Again he couldnt drop his man but Nas didnt lose a round and was looking like a top p4p fighter with the clinical ease in which he dispatched his opponent
Kevin Kelley - Great fight . They say Nas was exposed and his rep went down but he rocked Madison square garden that night . It was a case of a younger puncher beating an older puncher .Nas had youth on his side and that extra bit of dexterity . What a fight though . There should have been a rematch . One thing Nas' career lacked
Wilfredo Vasquez - Nas had to work hard for this fight . Any lapse in concentartion he paid for but that break in the ropes benefitted him cuz at a time Wilfredo was starting to get into it abit . Nas though found the shots in the end .
Wayne Mccullough - All the distarctions with Ingle , Jetlag etc resulted in a bad display from Nas . He got caught by silly shots and when he realised his power didnt work with Wayne he settled for an easy win . Crowd werent happy and it was a poor fight
Paul Ingle - Even though Paul hadnt done much , this is the type of fight we needed to see Hamed in . A younger guy for a change with passion . Ingle kept coming all night and in round 10 looked like he could stop Nas . Nas' corner was missing Ingle but had Suarez and Stewart which may have had something to do with it but I doubt it . Nas'power got him out of jail but this game seemed to be getting harder for him
Caesar Soto - Another unimpressive display abroad . Nas could have been dq'd and the action was scrappy but Soto was 1 Mexican who couldnt cut off a ring and allowed Nas to pull away on the cards .
Vuyani Bungu - Everyone got carried away with this cuz Nas re stated his credentials against a name but basically Bungu was an old fighter in a new weight division vs a puncher . it was always on the cards .
Augie Sanchez - - Just like Alicea and Ingle when Nas is in with a young guy with ambition he struggles . Augie did a decent job of protecting his chin and floored Nas ( not counted ) but Hamed found the answers in a great fight that he wasnt given credit for . They said that when Hamed gets hurt he fogets all he's been taught but from what I saw I think he went back to what he does best and it won him the fight
Marco Antonio Barrera - This guy was leagues above everyone else Nas had fought , he had the answer to anything Hamed tried and was just too good plain and simple. Barrera was one guy Nas should have avoided . He should have gone after Erik or someone he'd have a chance of hitting . Barrera gave him no chance . No shame in losing to an all time great though
Manuel Calvo - Nas had lost it by this time. Whether it was his money or whether it was his heart wasnt in it anymore . Whatever reason Calvo fiddled his way through 12 rounds and it was abit sad to see the British crowd turn their back on Hamed after all the great fights h'ed given them . Ever since Calvo Nas has talked of coming back but we all know it aint happening . I think he's been waiting for Barrera to retire .
great posting bRo, you really know ur boxing huh. :coolclick:Quote:

But look at it like this these are better quality than alot of the opponents Calzaghe fights yet you all love him and Hatton yet he was more exciting than both he did'nt slap and he did'nt hug he won world titles defended WBO 15 times he did well in the states.
This is just daft course Naz is in same level as Pac he was number 1 featherweight in the world for 4 or more years he won 3 versions of world title and beat the WBA champ but he was stripped for fighting Naz so really he won 4 titles he was in p4p top 10 can't understand how you can all just right him off as though he was nothing.Quote:

According from Barrera-Marquez bout just this year, obviously MAB is still not a shot fighter.
He even floored Marquez like Pac did.
My point is MAB still kicking butt from his win against NAZ, and from his lost against Pac.
Anyways, Pac is one quick individual when he uses speed like against Barrera.
How would Naz react when he gets tagged with several powerpunches and finds no one to hit afterwards?
Isn't it the same Barrera who kept outboxing the supposed to be boxer that pacman KO'd?
MAB is as great a boxer as you can find, yet he never had a chance to keep pacman off him.
Can Hamed do it who relies on power and speed but lacks basic skills. It's not as easy as it looks for Hamed,. ..
but it is for Pacman.
Out of the 2 Naz has never been stopped Pac has Naz hits harder so the ko win would be Naz's if Pac could win it would be on points
Everyone seems to be using Barrera as the common opponent but i'd make the suggestion that Nas fought a focused Barrera who was the underdog at fought to the best of his abilities .
Pac fought a Barrera who had interupted training , who was expecting an easy win . In conclusion Nas fought the best version of Barrera and Pac met the worst version . Not the same fighter by any stretch in terms of what he bought to the fight
Game CC#115 ;)

Pro-boxers have team.
Pac beat him in his home ground.
MAB was so desperate, he tried all his nasty cheating ability to survive the night.
