Whilst I disagree with your view of the SMW division, I also don't think that it is the best division of all, not from a long way. There has been a dearth of real talent there, while most of the big names who have gone up have barely registered at SMW, seeing Light Heavy as the place to make big bucks. Roy Jones and Bernard Hopkins being the ones I have in mind.
Fighting opponents like Sam Soliman and Danny Green to take the IBF version of the belt does not attest to a great amount of depth in a division in my opinion, and the sooner Mundine gets whooped by a proper contender, like Bute, Lacy or Pascal, then the better for the division IMO.

May i ask what you guys base your opinions on with calzaghe? His one big fight with lacy? Someone imo who was overhyped anyway. Dude i should know, before i took my absence from this forum i was a tszyu nuthugger and i admit it. But im a changed man, back to my unbiased self. Anyway back to the point, if you dont think mundine is a threat then you need a reality check my friend. Calzaghes had one big fight, hes proven himself a total of...once against really world class opposition (imo lacy aint that great but oh well). What makes mundine think he can do what he says, fuck the guy is cocky. He says shit, even i admit that. I wish he would shut his mouth, he prob cant do what he says he can. Well what has Mundine proved that he would stand a chance he holds his left incredibly low and i see the clips that this Mundine fan boy was showing and he was throwing wild and sloppy punches and he didn't impress me at all and i have watched full fights of Mundine and he has never once impressed me.

Mundine has never been impressive, whilst Calzaghe has put in a number of decent performances over his career, despite his poor performance against Bika, and his poor opponent in Manfredo.

dine biggest claim to fame is that he was one of only a few opponents of Ottke that actualy got sparked, it was a very good knockout for sven, just shows that Mundine sadly lacks in the resiliance department
That alone also puts kesslers performance over him in question

Calzaghe would be a 1/8 shot if this fight happened so in my books that means that Mundine has a 12.5% chance of winning, given its not exactly Lottery odds but come on, to me that means that he has a very small chance of winning in the majority of peoples minds, and odds are generated through peoples perceptions. Im sorry Snakey you can support your man all you want but he has a small chance of a big upset if this fight was to happen.

Also...I want to address something that totally makes me laugh everytime that I read or hear it said...Sam Soliman vs Winky Wright was a joke.
