Roy also had a background with his Dad even though the association didn't last, Shane's and Zab's are other examples. Floyd's so called foundation is uncle Roger, Papa Floyd and uncle Jeff and I agree they all led the Gym Rat Box-addicted young Floyd to maturation very early on but that doesn't make him smarter than Roy, please don't forget Roy collapsed very recently to Antonio and Glenn but before that he out-punched in the sweetest of boxing's ways B-Hop, Toney, McCallum, Hill and so many others, plus Jones had a kayo punch and Floyd is a very light handed, safety first, mobile counter-puncher, he's not as slick as Sweet Pea was or as defensive as Willie Pep came to be but he's still very good at what he does... Problem is he has been out-scored in some rounds and fights like against Castillo, Judah, Hoya so I definitely believe he knows he can be beaten ( not just kayoed, beaten by points) so he avoids these guys and this is the subject of this post that never passed by my mind... Floyd goes for the smart money against hatton cause he knows he may well lose more than 6 rounds against Shane, Tony or Miguel, dat is the bottom line... And I say it again, even though he might lose, I'd favour him to win those but he doesn't want it...

First...me taken by hip hop propaganda is the funniest thing i've read this week..especially seeing as how you don't me personally..if you did you'd know why that's hilarious...And if you check my post..you see that i conceded to the fact floyd will never fight shane..and that floyd has been ducking shane as he knows that at 147 shane is only person who can and possibly would beat him...stylistically shane would be his toughest fight ever..even right now and prime shane would easily beat him....

Now then, facts are that Floyd won the WBC Welterweight title in November 2006 and pretends to fight again in November 2007 ( according to Roger), Floyd said that he is a natural welterweight ( post fight interview with Larry Merchant on May 5 2007 Telecast), therefore I state Floyd Mayweather Jr is going to fight in the 147 lbs division and it makes sense he would defend the WBC title he already holds, who should he defend against? I think it would be logical to say against a WBC ranked Welterweight or another major commission welter titlist like the WBC interim welterweight champ Shane Mosley or the WBA Champ Miguel Cotto or the WBO Champ Antonio Margarito or the IBF Champ Kermit Cintron ... But Floyd wants to fight a light welter ( according to his last fight) in Ricky Hatton... Should I say Hatton is handpicked? Yes! Should I say Floyd picked Hatton to avoid Shane, Tony and Cotto? I think it would be logical to say against a WBC ranked Welterweight or another major commission welter titlist like the WBC interim welterweight champ Shane Mosley or the WBA Champ Miguel Cotto or the WBO Champ Antonio Margarito or the IBF Champ Kermit Cintron ... i understand what you're saying with the hip hop, but i wouldn't immediately say that just because a fighter walks out with a rapper that he's importing hip hop into his attitude..because shane is as nice as one can seem...and he walked out with Ludacris rapping behind him...Shane when he p4p no 2 many were comparing him to the two previous "sugars" adn it had nothing to do with ludacris, but rather his fast powerful combinations...Floyd on the other might just be using 50, because floyd is trying to laung his little crappy record label "filthy rich" and maybe needs fifty for his connections, whos knows, but floyd before he won a title was always arrogant during his interviews, because he felt like being the bad guy sells more tickets, i recall an early interview back when his only a few fights, and he was sitting with uncles roger aND JEFF, and he was so laid back, he showed confidence in his ability, not once did he come off as arrogant..when that happened i don't know, but i still don't see him as arrogant but rather cofident adn he should be, because the fighters his been talking about he know he can beat...

I have no such problem and do feel Floyd is playing arrogant now and is ducking most of all Shane and Tony... See, Tony can say 4 himself he is underrated and has never ducked anybody cause he went up in weight to challenge WBO Light Middle Champ Daniel Santos ( lost unfairly on a 10th round split decision in PR after being butted and getting a nasty cut on the eye) and came back to 147 lbs to defend his WBO title against the interim WBO Welter titlist undefeated Kermit Cintron ( 24-0, 22 KOs) and kayoed him, still fights undefeated Nº1 Contender Paul Williams like Cotto fought Urkal and Zab when he didn't need to ( and possibly fights Tony next)... If Floyd doesn't give the WBC Interim Champion a shot at the title, it's plain and simple ( only one conceivable view on this JT Rock), he's ducking him. I have been thinking about this for some time about all boxers. Guys I think that interviews after fights should be viewed as just that.....interviews after fights. The person just gave more emotional and physical output than at any other time (win or lose) so comments have to be taken in that context.
For example I love racing and I had a favourite driver who always said dumb shit after a race.....finally he ended up locking himself in his trailer for 30 minutes or so after incidents to calm down before commenting on anything.
